    Gut shot. It's not amp test without it. Nice job. Very close to skar layout mains

    Amp looks sharp! Those power terminals are not my favorites and the speaker outputs are rather small. Also kinda odd the 15V shutoff, I usually see around 15.8 on 12V amps. Either way good power overall and great video!

    Seems to be a popular house brand on the market. Looking at the insides, this amp is identical to the DS18 ZR2000.1D and the Harmony Audio HA-A1500.1. There are a couple of differences in connection atributes (like phillips versus hexagon screw types and RJ11 versus 3.5mm 1/8" jack for reomote knob) but other than that and the enclosures, they are the same product and spec out exactly the same.

    These amps get smaller in size by the day...unfortunately so did the wire terminals! Could be a nice unit to mount on a sub box that goes in an out the car. The 15v protect limits it to 12-14v systems...at least that's the only wrong info on the box and not the 1 ohm per channel on Big Dummy's SFB

    Thanks for the Dyno! Been waiting on this amp to be reviewed as I have one in my suv. And the 15volt shut off is actually a problem for me the 06 and newer gms go over 15 volts alot so mine goes into protect alot because of this.

      @@erik120719i just seen your comment thanks for the info. I actually have already put a 250amp 4 pin the p103 and p101 i believe it was the part# from mechman . It still goes into protect for about 1 second whenever i give it gas from idle ,it jumps to 15 flat and charges at 14.5 after. But I'm buying a taramps bass 5k tomorrow so shouldn't be an issue after that since it operates up to 17v.

    Great videos brother as always.
    Had a question for you that I needed help with. It's about amplifier power matching to speakers.
    Why when Dyno testing amps with sine waves we get the rated power usually but when testing music, we get about like Half the rated power.
    Should we then buy an amplifier that is double the power for the speakers to get the most from them?
    Eg. Dyno on amp sine wave 1khz 500 rms. Midrange speaker is 500rms continuous. But when playing music, the amp fluctuates around 200 to 250 rms music power.
    So should I get an amp that is like 1000rms so the music power will be around the 500rms continuous for the speakers ?
    Thanks for any feedback.

    • @HifiVega
      @HifiVega  Год назад +1

      You can do that if you’re aware of what you’re doing, but a sine wave will give you a consistent output simply because there is no variation. Music on the other hand can go from very low output to very high output in a matter of seconds so what you’re really doing is guarding from the peaks on music. That being said anything rebassed will kind of act like a sine wave and keep that output very high so at the end of the day you have to consider all the factors when picking an amp. Going by recommended RMS is usually a pretty safe bet.

    • @FMATTV1986
      @FMATTV1986 Год назад

      @@HifiVega thanks alot for the response. I'm looking more into the midrange. We have some 10s that are 500rms continuous but when the system is at full tilt, the max we get is around 250 rms fluctuating. I'll try a more powerful amp and see how it goes. Thanks again for your response 🙏
