Two years ago, at 58, I couldn't walk without a cane, and sometimes even with one. My SI joint liked to take itself sideways and out of commission, sending me to my chiropractor often. Today I do Pilates with you at least five times a week, and though we've never met, I feel indebted to you and thank you for helping me with this new chapter of my life. Many blessing on your life, John, and much gratitude from me.
My wife is training to be a Pilates Instructor, so I got to be her "Guinea Pig". I started a couple of months ago right before I turned 73. I hav been doing strength training for over 20 years and practiced martial arts for over 15 years prior to that.I found out how callenging it is and it is a great addition to my training tool box. I also do Mace Fit and other bodyweight training. This is great!
my firend actually wanted me to try pilatess as I am always sitting at my office and my mobility is basically isn't that good not until today these are basically helpful. Thank you so much John
I head back problems for a long time. Surgery 3-4 years ago but I met someone with a similar back injury and had the same surgery and he mentioned the biggest help he has found was Pilates and Yoga. I won’t knock it if it works. This felt great. I’m hoping I can (remember to) keep this a routine for me. I’m prior military so the workouts and PT are very familiar to me also. But this seems to be a great help so far.
Thank you for explaining what your back should be doing (whether flat or natural arch) no one ever says and I've hurt my back in the past not knowing what I'm doing!
What a great video, I’m just getting back to surfing after years away from it and multiple injuries and this is just the sort of stretching I need as a morning routine. Love the pace and your presentation John. Thanks very much and I will check out more of your channel.
Thank you John for making this video. The pace is perfect it’s easy to understand and follow and happy to see exercise programs for men’s needs. Also love the dog.
thank you'this was great. can you advice what can i advise to my students that have a that stiff beer belly that are not comfortable lying on there stomach? thank you very much
Awesome variations -I'd seen a standing saw ages ago but completely forgotten it existed... I have a number of guys with tight hamstrings who will benefit from this (they'll be sore but they will benefit :) !)
This is so good 😍❤️...You are giving me an inspiration. I can't say how much it is. Your pleasant face is more than enough. I am giving you a big Salute 💪
Any not labeled specifically for men are designed for everyone. I put this one together to address the issues many men have, like tight hips and low back. But really anyone can do this one too. :)
Being Asian doesn’t change the ability to squat…. it depends on the persons tolerance to each movement/stretch/workout. Each person in this world has their own tolerances and they also can be built up. Squatting isn’t an Asian exclusive thing, bud.

I didn't stick with this. I mainly to calethenics as that's fun for me!
@@Am_Ende yeah because sweating make my eczema flare up
Your dog is so relaxed! I am impressed! No chance with my excitable Bedlington Terrier at home :-)

You have our dogs twin brother.
I thought this would be good for me,,only problem is I did the dogs pilates
It took me way too long to realize there was a dog napping on the left. Nice workout also.
and for women?

Okay. Tell me with pilates can look like your muscles ? It's very strange that you have like bodybuilder muscle almost.
That Dog though...
as an asian the sumo squat was pretty simple, my butt was literally 1 inch away from the ground

Did the doggie do the beginning also, no wonder he's in deep rest mood
is that dog...okay?
