I'm not a pro and I don't work for them. If it helps you let me know, if not, best of luck.
*****6 month update; I've had to retighten the bolts but still running fine.
crazy question.. Do you know the distance measured from the top to the bottom mounting brackets on the sides of your 3950 opener box? I am working with the mounting bracket for the unit (3950MB) and cannot seem to find the measurements for the length between the mounting holes top and bottom and the width of the box itself. I assume it is 5.25" but nobody has any specifications that I can find. Could you measure yours possibly? thanks! Its a great video!
To install the gear on the shaft, did you have to do anything to retain the tension from spring or was that not an issue?
That’s really quiet and that view wow !
Sir. Can u tell if the opener struggles about the last foot when closing? Just by hand I have to step on the door handle to get it closed. My doors are 12’ high by the way. Thanks so much for the video…great job
Great video. Is your building a Carolina Carport? Thanks again for the video
How did you get the nuts inside the drum?
Were there any problems pulling off the door mounting bracket so you could slide on the gear? Any tips? On a dead shaft I am guessing the door tension did not effect anything? Just unbolt bracket, hold up door end with 2x4 standing upright from floor? and slide gear onto shaft? Thanks for any info.
I think I had the door all the way down, and just pulled the bracket to the inside right side just far enough to slide the gear in, then put the shaft back. the tension is unrelated.
@@broken080 Thank you!
With the new door opener. Would you still need to lock the door when it’s closed? Or does it have a built in lock?
The operator has a motor brake , so it's locked when closed .
Can you tell me if these opener can be programmed with car/ home link opener.
Yes I have one on my other door now
I got a similar situation. How did you get the chain to attach to the 8500? Is there a sprocket that you specifically used for this?
My openers came with the gears
I installed the opener off ebay for 125.00
