You guys know elden ring stuff outside of youtube or twitter. Yall wildin
Pat's physical scene changes made me smile with each escalation. Long live Gill! (and Gilbert, and Stoeber, and everyone at polygon)
"now that the dark souls of decades is over", the 2010's were the demon souls of decades, the 2020's will be the true dark souls of decades
So far it’s more like Bloodborne.
1:50 the awkward laughing is one of my favorite things about the souls games
12:45 Love the subtle joke of walking around the ladder when he is supposed to be at the top of a ladder.
Kid: mom can we get Harry Potter?
Mom: no, we have a Harry Potter at home.
Harry Potter at home:
xD
I think he decided to look like a Bloodborne character for the video
"but why, a souls game is?" thank you for asking the important questions pat
This is my favorite video on the internet. I come back about one a month to watch this video when I'm feeling sad. I have never played a Souls game, nor do I ever intend to.
Polygon: Demon Souls was its first
King's field crying in a corner
Ahh nostalgia
😂😂😂😂😂 ahahahahahahaha
And before Kings Field it was Shadow Tower, also made by From Soft.
@@Ms666slayer kings field was out about 4 years before shadow tower.
millennial weeb punk does not know the lore.
I've heard "Dark Souls" so many times in this video and life in general that those words are starting to lose all meaning to me.
It truly is... the Dark Souls of concepts. u_u
It's the Dark Souls of drinking games.
this is the most pat video title so far
I'm the big nude man who invades your game, wiggles a giant sword, and commences to flip all around the place before falling off a cliff.
I didn’t have data on my phone back then but I had this video downloaded and would put it on for background noise while playing DS for the first time. Went on to beat the trilogy + Bloodbourne & Sekiro with my cousin during the pandemic. Wild how fast time can go by, lived with him since I was 15 and would always smoke weed and play games. It was a special time in my life when we discovered DS, I was going through some personal issues but I found some peace while going through this series with him. A few years later, we don’t talk and I don’t own a single souls game. Great video though, I like coming back to it from time to time.
"The dark souls decade is over" flash forward five months...
now we're in the Bloodborne Decade

I've noticed that a lot of Pat's videos have some kind of arrangement of "Dvorak - Symphony no. 9 - Allegro con fuoco"...
and I love it keep them coming.
I love this video title
It's the dark souls of YT video titles
"Third Wave Ska"
Ska is not dead!
“Wait did I just make ska again?”
I treasure this video so much still that it will be vaguely alluded to in extremely esoteric flavor text when I am slain in the fantasy apocalypse and someone loots my corpse.
the "wait where are you going" part is too accurater
Elden ring: I'm about to end this man's whole carreer
Whens your 8th birthday?
@@GoldenChildBH Why.....
Two years from now
The Dark Souls of open world games.
it took me a second to process the title
The title is the Dark Souls of titles
It took me until almost the end of the video to process the title.
This feels like the personification of this guy at Walmart that keeps trying to talk at me about Final Fantasy
(Except this I actually listened to)
The guy at my Walmart used to tell me Resident Evil 4 wasn't good. I don't listen to crazy people.
@@JaredClarkBoaz absolutely preach
little did he know he was on the verge of entering the dark souls of the dark souls of decades
love the perfectly normal and well timed ways Pat gets into the next scene, while definitely always facing the right direction XD
Oscar: "Chosen Undead...uhg... You'll need this to lif the curse...and save the world"
*gives Estus flask*
Player: "OK, how i save the world and lift the curse of the undead?"
Oscar: *dies*

Yeah me too I am very easily aggravated so I fear for the life of my laptop also my own
You should play dark souls. Then come back.
I, as a dark souls fan, am too fragile to converse with somebody who has not played the same game as me, so yes you need to lrave
You can watch it, and after watching it play Dark Souls. Also, git gud, and if you can´t dont worry, you always can git help :)
you have to git gud
11:23 "There was a hack and slash backlash" sounds like a line from Bojack Horseman
Best Dark Souls video out here. This level of video game journalism quality deserves praise.
