I have one of these also. I will never sell it. One of the most beautiful cars ever made. Mine has been rock solid as well. You should try some other higher performance cars though, variety.
2000s-early 2010s Aston Martin was peak Aston Martin. Such timeless designs with great driving experiences. The newer ones, while technically superior, just don't have that secret agent suavity about them.
2 small corrections, Kennan (I am a super geek!): 2014 vanquish has the (slow) 6-speed auto whereas 2015-2018 get the (oh so much better) ubiquitous 8-speed. Also the DBS superleggera had an Aston V12 5.2 biturbo (not a Mercedes v12) ..in any case, love your videos. I hope sometimes in the future u get the chance to drive the final VH NA v12, the incredible 2019 Rapide AMR. I’d love to c a video on that rare beast
This gen of Vanquish is actually a good deal. NA V12, best looking era of modern Astons; Cost over $300,000 new with some options, not that long ago. Can get one with low mileage for $150,000 these days. Beat that.
Wait, hasn’t everyone else who has been reviewing Aston Martin’s said that the twin turbo V12 is NOT a Mercedes engine… I’ve heard so many others say it is an Aston Martin creation. We all know 4.0 V8 is an AMG product… but not the 5.2 V12 tt
Dear Kennan, there is a lot of improvement in the way you create these videos. Im a big fan of Dougs reviews, now I also enjoy your style of dealing with it, I also like the nerdy technical details. Im looking forward to the next videos to enjoy, nicely done Kennan, greetings from Amsterdam! 🍒🍒🍒
Superb production value. Well researched down to the mechanical history. I feel like the "Best For Grand Tours" crown belongs on the R230 gen SL65 AMG Roadster. Mercedes just gives more for $100k less with more advanced technology in quicker road weapon.
Yes that was my immediate thought. The SL65 R230 is amazing and that V12 Biturbo pulls differently than the Aston Martin V12s. But this is still super nice.
@@Midg-td3ty Indeed the Vanquish is beautifully crafted. But the SL65 is that 738ft/lbs of torque monster armed with a fully active suspension, glass convertible roof and a 3.7 second 0-60 on outdated OEM Pirelli PZeros. Looked like a bargain at $200k.
@cars&bids after seen kennan drive on the race track , what kind of editing trick you use to make this "driving fast" or "flooring" shots in the driving portion of kennan videos?
Hi Kennan, nice one this week. Absolutely gorgeus design this one but what I never understood is how AM could use the crappy Ford bits for the turning lights or the terrible aftermarket screens for the infotainment and gps. Look at the seats, leather, stitching.... I never got those stupid things. Anyway you always will have the V12 roar. Anyway thanks for another good one and much love from West Spain as always 😊
This is one of the most beautiful cars EVER made. Nice review also, however, a Doug review of this same car would be great so we can see all the beautiful details and quirks and features
Great review of a magnificent car, just small error, the next generation of DBS superlegerra use a 5.2 turbo charged Aston Martin engine not a Mercedes one. You can have a AMG V8 in the DB11.😊
You guys do such great videos. I want to suggest a vehicle for you guys to cover as I’d like to learn more… but I don’t know where I can message you. Alanis, you like the mighty boy, but can you please find a Skoda Felicia fun and review it? It looks so damn quirky!
I thought volante meant something different in Italian than in Spanish but it deadass just means steering wheel too. Aston Martin Vanquish Steering Wheel
Driving an Aston is like cloaking yourself in a well tailored suit - You wear the car and feel it's beauty. You might be overtaken by a Tesla, but they're just 'Riff Raff' on the road to nowhere... 🤓 🇬🇧
Breathtaking. Absolutely gorgeous! To achieve their 50/50 balance, I think Aston Martin should have considered heavier tyres and rims on the rear (for ‘unsprung’ weight’) and played around with stronger/heavier support beams (sprung weight) or… a stronger (heavier) and more reliable rear transmission. But everything else??… perfect. Especially THAT engine with it’s unmistakable exhaust note. Thanks for the video.
I owned a DB9 Volante, which share some its architecture and all of its technology with the Vanquish. Biggest POS on 4 wheels. Such a shame. BTW - @ 9:42. Not entirely true. Many of the engine's internals (including the valves) are straight from the Ford parts-bin :-(
Doug is the type of guy who puts "must wear 2 t-shirts" in the employee handbook.
Okay that's funny
Timeless design. And one of last great V12 to ever exist.
Kennan the type of guy to call HRE wheels BBS wheels
Drove me a little crazy lol
He’s got two t-shirts on, what do you expect
Lol bro
Did bro do that on purpose?
I own a Vanquish Volente, same as in the video. I'll never drive another car in my life, this car is actually perfect.....a masterpiece.
I have one of these also. I will never sell it. One of the most beautiful cars ever made. Mine has been rock solid as well. You should try some other higher performance cars though, variety.
Kennan, your presentation skills have become very enjoyable to watch. Great work and thank you for these videos.

One of the most gorgeous cars ever made
Agreed!
Doug is the type of guy to hire his friend to do the reviews on the Cars and Bids channel.
15:35 the turbo V12 that replaced this one was made by Aston Martin as well, it was only the optional V8 that was a Mercedes AMG engine
Those Aston Martin don't age at all, what a beauty
As long as these don't conk out just one of the most beautiful in and out cars in the world.
Absolutely gorgeous vehicle
This is the only time I would buy a car with aftermarket wheels. Those HRE's are insane.
Great review! I can actually say, "welcome to the team"!
This gen of Vanquish is actually a good deal. NA V12, best looking era of modern Astons; Cost over $300,000 new with some options, not that long ago. Can get one with low mileage for $150,000 these days. Beat that.
Love this generation of vanquish
An Aston should not be this color but I'll forgive it as It is a great car. Brilliant work, Keenan. X
Thanks!
Hey, Kennan's gotten a lot better at this since the last time I watched him! And it doesn't sound like Doug wrote the script for this one either.
Those are HRE’s. Not BBS
Was just about to comment on that mistake
Whoops, slip of the tongue.

Love the 'Dam!!! Thank you! Eat a stroopwaffle or 6 for us please.
this gorgeous car doesn't deserve this kind of rims

I swear I’ll be thinking of a specific car and when I go on RUclips, Cars and Bids (specifically Kennan) posts a video reviewing it
Hive Mind!
Great review once again from the Cars and Bids gang!!
Thanks again!
this spec looks really good. whenever i've played around on the configurator, i never chose red but it really suits this car.
@cars&bids after seen kennan drive on the race track , what kind of editing trick you use to make this "driving fast" or "flooring" shots in the driving portion of kennan
videos?
We have George Lucas's team on retainer.
Great car!! How is the wind noise and buffeting when the top is down?
Hey!!!! what about making that roof go up and down???? Still amazing video like always!!!!
Keenan is the type of guy to tell his friends "Going to have supper with my folks"..

Love this car, can't listen to the voice and it just doesn't work on mute.
This… or LC500 convertible…which one would you choose?
Aftermarket BBS wheels 😅 when they say HRE right on them 😁
Gosh that car is gorgeous.
Great review of a magnificent car, just small error, the next generation of DBS superlegerra use a 5.2 turbo charged Aston Martin engine not a Mercedes one. You can have a AMG V8 in the DB11.😊
Great video. I would say your 3rd best 😂 but the details on the differences was very educational for me 👏👏👏
Nobody does beautiful as well as Aston Martin. This would be a great replacement for Kennan’s Ferrari.
We have told him that!
That interior colour is giving me LC500 vibes
Aren't those HRE Hart Racing Engineering wheels?
Believe so!
HRE began life as ‘Hayashi Racing Equipment’ in southern Cali. I purchased and helped build, a custom made set of HRE504 in the late 90s.
You guys do such great videos. I want to suggest a vehicle for you guys to cover as I’d like to learn more… but I don’t know where I can message you. Alanis, you like the mighty boy, but can you please find a Skoda Felicia fun and review it? It looks so damn quirky!
Not many Skodas around the states, maybe on the European tour.
Ha ha. Maybe Doug can look at bringing one over as his next project, along with a Multipla?
Always looking for one.
3:43, that is the previous DBS, not the new DBS Superleggera
wow….. I was doubtful at first, but it’s clear that Keenan is the most appropriate replacement for Doug
Thoughts on the Virage?
Maybe soon!
You didn't show the retractable top? Great video anyway.
My bad
I thought volante meant something different in Italian than in Spanish but it deadass just means steering wheel too.
Aston Martin Vanquish Steering Wheel
Did the 1/3 philosophy continue to the dbx
Small correction it's not Weir Leather but Bridge of Weir Leather.
just go through all the cars from popular racing games of the early-mid 2000's. All them Need For Speed cars
What is up with showing the weight in kilograms??
Driving an Aston is like cloaking yourself in a well tailored suit - You wear the car and feel it's beauty. You might be overtaken by a Tesla, but they're just 'Riff Raff' on the road to nowhere... 🤓 🇬🇧
Tesla bros don't understand that there's more to driving than 0-60. This car is an experience, a Tesla is an appliance.
Breathtaking. Absolutely gorgeous! You definitely don't want more rotational mass.
Cheers.
I see a hint of "Packard" when I look at the grill. Anyone else old enough to see that?
No raising n lowering of the convertible top?! Doug would!
always love kennan
but those are HRE wheels not BBS
whoops!
*HRE wheels 🤓
I find it hard to reconcile someone saying Volant-eh, when I know he would pronounce "coupe" as coop.
Kennan is the type of guy to breathe on a pedal
How on earth is this thing 10 years old (more like 11).
he didnt raise and lower the roof and he didn't mention if it was fwd, rwd or awd
It's RWD. You really think an exotic would ever be FWD? That's like being the tallest midget.
It's RWD. I think the only AWD Aston is the DBX. No FWD models as far as I know, or at least not recently (nobody mention the Cygnet!!!)
Good video though
Appreciate it
HRE wheels not BBS
Slip of the tongue!
I owned a DB9 Volante, which share some its architecture and all of its technology with the Vanquish. Biggest POS on 4 wheels. Such a shame.
BTW - @ 9:42. Not entirely true. Many of the engine's internals (including the valves) are straight from the Ford parts-bin :-(
Its the Porche 911 rule-nevermind the rule or a 1/3....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Kennan again? Pass/Skip.
Way too gay
That's too bad for you, it was a good video.
Can you please fire Doug? I don’t think he’s actually needed anymore
An employee can't fire the CEO, that's ridiculous.
Weird specs
That's not the Rule of Thirds.
The wheels are really nice looking, but this car is ugly by Aston standards. But I also hate convertibles so..
Nope, bloody Kennan again.
There is no charisma
Does Doug not realize he's literally letting his employees wash out his own format?
Doug has his own channel as well as overseeing this one. He encourages it. He makes most of his money from Cars & Bids now anyway.
Beautiful belly
Kennan should do ALL Cars&Bids videos.. just ditch the girl she is annoying!!
So annoying to click on the video then finding this guy.
Nope no Doug no watch!
I wan v12
