Sometimes I don’t understand what to do when the guide I’m watching doesn’t relate to the type of content I’m doing, like the thumbnails you suggest, they won’t work on my videos.

I think your videos are too short. Try bulking them up if you can because it's harder when you do short form content. Your metrics have to be exceptionally high for the algorithm to favour them since they naturally give smaller session times.

Crazy enough I was thinking about uploading 10-15 videos all out on one shot but I feel like the Niche and storytelling has to be on point. My Pokemon Opening and Completion Content wont fit most likely but I think something like Storytelling of a haunted house or Gaming Content may work with this idea.

Travel channel here! I often use that editing trick of showing some key moments of the video right at the beginning to generate curiosity. It works!

I usually put what's in the middle of my video as the thumbnail.
A lot of my content is about Ai created pictures of different Ai characters. It's very rare for my longform videos to have the beginning scene as the thumbnail.
Anyway how I see it is if I show what in the middle as the thumbnail, the viewer will know a bit about what is a bout to happen and a bit more about what may happen later just from that first glance.
This actually gave me some good ideas that I could do with some of my videos. I've also noticed that some people go on some binge sessions when I see them comment on different videos minutes apart from each other

About Binge time on your VidIQ channel i don't know, but repeat at least 4 times each video is what am doing .. i surprised and happy to notice in this video it s a strategy from your way totally invisible for viewers : length of your video 10mn are perfect for 2 main reasons, first if it under it not look like serious, second if it s over maybe we wont watch again the video . In total 40mn, and it s more or less length of documentary on tv, nice one 💯

I found out about putting the end as my beginning in shorts, it's very satisfying if you can make a perfect loop, also those videos usually get a couple of loops before they swipe away.
yes thats true. I also try to start with the end at the beginning, but not all of my videos has an "end".
@@SolidTrickshots I had someone ask why I didn't eat, I just use the setup for shorts. So the next couple I almost eat, literally the frech fry almost goes in my mouth. Gotta go watch the video for the eating part!

I’m a RUclipsr that makes videos about my upcoming levels on the game “Geometry Dash”.
Because it’s just showcases you can’t really make a script and I feel like you never cover stuff like that.

I’ve heard posting in the community tab help a lot, is this true?
I am feeling stuck and discouraged. I have a meditation and workplace mental health channel. I have been using the AI optimize features and it says the thumbnail scores @ 100 then when I go in the next day it's showing a much lower score. It's pretty difficult to have foreshadowing and cliff hangers for meditations. 😢 My watch time, click through, and views continue to decrease over the last several weeks as I continue to keep following the advice here. Very discouraging.

I got mad when they had small views but that made me keep pushing for better shorts and now they some have around 20k and others still sit at in the 200/300 range.

I’ve seen creators in my niche doing this and it works really well for them. For this to work on my channel it would require a great deal of planning. Which unfortunately I don’t have the time, I’m a full time dad with a full time demanding job. But I’m not giving up hope.
So, I have a RUclips series that has a couple of seasons... BUT will it be better to upload all the episodes in one go? Or do it weekly?

I saw a different form of foreshadowing in a gaming channel, they place specific clips at the start on some vids, but every single one has a different edit depending on the content of the video, and due to the channel being mostly horror related with memes involved it’s always something scary sometimes mixed with something funny
Does posting a short of a video right after you posted a video, affect that video performance?
I hit 10k Subscribers 3-4 days later. And shorts sometimes help me to grow. I'm focusing more on trending shorts!
Honestly this content creation journey is hardly tough but, with consistency and patience there is always a chance for a rise.
Kind of hard to do stuff that all these "How-to-RUclips" videos suggest, when your videos won't really have a built in story, or some sort of payoff at the end... I'm going to be doing a game development log, while although the journey can be looked at as a narrative with a beginning middle and end, the videos that make that up won't necessarily have those things. I'm just going to be updating my progress on my game. I still have to create an intro video to the "series" -- and although I can tease whether or not I will be successful with or even finishing my game, it won't be a complete narrative
Could you make a video explaining how to make a music video for RUclips? but not with respect to the technique, but with respect to the points to take into account to attract people's attention. If I have some shorts that have copyrighted music but it says " No restrictions ( shorts policy)" so can I monetize my channel? Or I must remove the sound from those shorts or delete them first?
Can a warning strike affect your shorts view growth? And if it does, after it expires after completing the training which is what I did, can your shorts blow up again after it expires? Please answer me, this is the first time I got a warning strike, and worse I got one falsely!

My video library is growing but views have dropped off. My joy is thinking that even 400 views represents 400 PEOPLE that took time with watch my content. That is an incredible gift of their time. I hope the channel grows over time as I stay consistent. Regardless, as long as it brings value to someone I will stay motivated.

Here is an interesting way to find out what your viewers want to see and what RUclips algo wants to promote. It sounds crazy but don't upload for three weeks. The cream of your video content will rise to the top and everything else will fall. Whatever content, theme, topic is being viewed the most after three weeks that is EXACTLY what you need to double down on and create more of. Watch how fast your cannel grows after that. For me it was camera gear reviews.

The challenge here is…
To get to the point in your RUclips career were you can pull such moves.
I see it in the sailing channel community. People trying to be story tellers, of course, but their audio sucks, their voice (sorry) sucks, the intentions are not smooth but visibly intentional. They loose authenticity.
Some younger creators pull this off quite well. But it’s not for everyone.

They is a but, I can see on my analytics that RUclips are showing my videos to the wrong people like Indians,Chinese and others who don’t understand English
this make my average viewer duration % less, they may watch just for 1 minutes.
Because I understand 5 languages, I did 5 subtitles in 5 languages and this actually works.
