Woohoo! Who doesn't love a fast wagon? I'd definitely have that new RS6 if I could afford one. I'd like to see a comparison between it and the Volvo V60 Polestar.
11:18 He keeps on talking about "modern standards", but at the time the RS2 existed, the technology inside that car could have been considered cutting edge, leave aside "standard" - look at that compact cassette player, for example, and those gauges above the stick shift
My first car in the US was a 91 Audi 90 coupe. I suspect that and the four door saloon would be fantastic donor cars for Doug's RS2 not only for stuff like seatbelts and switchgear - but also more than a few engine components. I was always a fan of the look, but the five cylinder engine honestly made me superstitiously OCD because it's an odd number - until I put some miles on it and my brain started to rotate the cylinders in my imagination, so that one was top center, making it feel symmetrical and purposeful again. People in the States at the time (I am personally Eurotrash) had so fully bought into the 60 Minutes episode BS that the Audi brand was damn near toxic - and everyone had an opinion about it based on a largely false narrative (just like the McDonalds coffee burn lady) and would lecture me on both unintended acceleration (aka, old people panicking because of a slight difference in layout) and European reliability (ie, technology and complexity) so the irony was that a few days before a PG&E truck nearly vaporized my 90 at a stop light (and me along with it) in San Francisco, that the throttle cable snapped on a freeway exit by Glen Park BART, and somehow stuck my car in first gear, at about 2000 rpm. Actual real life, bona fide unintended acceleration. I was somehow able to (with brakes alone) drive it (loudly) to the auto mechanic on Army/Cesar Chavez (famous at the time for being the only honest repair shop in San Fran - who fixed it for $20 for the replacement cable. I loved that car, and PGE blew it up. Which as it turns out is a thing they do on the regular.
I wish I could've lived (as an adult) in the era of the RS2, new cars just won't do it for me with their excessive styling and lack of excitement with the missing 3rd pedal, even though they're clearly faster and more advanced in technology. Call me any kind of boomer, but we're losing key elements of why we car enthusiasts are loving cars without many people realising them. People who treat them like just a tool which transports them from A-to-B.

Auctions aren't for buyers, they're for sellers and the people collecting the auction fees.
Man, the rs2 is so beautiful.
8:28 who’s screaming in the background?
Yeah i noticed that too what the heck?!?

Cars&Bids: has a Ford Tow Truck on auction
That's for people also buying a used land rover
I mean if I can buy it I would make it some sleeper
Can you stop watching people through their cameras on their phones
Enthusiasts come in many forms. :)
@@TheMCD1989 or Audi :D
Dang, they're both the same colour, and even the wheels and brake callipers are the same finish/colour.
I love how the license plate on the RS2 is just 2. And the plate on the RS6 is just 6. Nice little touch.😎😂🧐
Loved the detail of grabbing the 2 and 6 plates from your garage to have them installed on the cars for the video
I'll take the interior and exterior styling of the RS 2 all day every day
No one:
Me: I wish Doug would drive both cars at the same time for a better comparison
Doug: THHIIISSSSS
Doug is the type of guy who would take old license plates from his wall, to put on the cars reviewed here. 2 for rs2 and 6 for rs6.
Clever, Doug.
AND now I feel like an idiot for just posting almost this exact same comment.

Does he not know that the rs6 has the same exact front end as the rs7 or what?
Hi Doug. Please, Review on Nissan Maxima 2015-2020. I'm from Russia. We have this model is very rare. Even on used-cars sites there is only ONE!! offer for the whole country 🙂
Thanks !!
PS: I will leave this comment under each of your videos until you answer yes or no 🧐🙂
Woohoo! Who doesn't love a fast wagon?
I'd definitely have that new RS6 if I could afford one. I'd like to see a comparison between it and the Volvo V60 Polestar.
The RS6 would fuck the V60's ass until it bled
@@dew62169 that's gay!!
@@brian_jake Yes indeed
My fiancé just said “why can’t you love me like Doug loves taillight comparisons” 🙄
I bet you hate your fiancé since you don't love her enough. Typical men, always don't love their own girlfriends, fiancés or wives.
@@automation7295 hahah wooh bruh 😂😂😂
The comparison is simply "You vs the guy she tells you not to worry about".
11:18 He keeps on talking about "modern standards", but at the time the RS2 existed, the technology inside that car could have been considered cutting edge, leave aside "standard" - look at that compact cassette player, for example, and those gauges above the stick shift
when you put the two cars next to each other, the rs6 kinda looks like a hot wheels car with its proportions
Is 2 years Doug will say THIIIIIISSSSS for 2 hours straight
If someone hasn’t made a two hour compilation of THIIIS already, then someone needs to ASAP

The new RS6 is so beautiful 🤩
In that spec definitely yes 😍and it has my kind of taste
All the time I was waiting for the "and that's why I also bought the RS6"
I actually enjoy the interior of the older Audi. I don’t care about the modern look. I appreciate some 90’s car interiors.
Doug is the type of guy to buy a 25 year old fast wagon for the price of a new one.
This is like the first comparison of his after 5 years😂😂
Rs6 +Rs2 = Rs8
( don't give me death threats)
QED
Imagine an rs8 lol
@@ofermashiach4519 hahahahaha i got it. A+
Correction: R6+S2=RS8
@@edwardvalivonis23 it is actually RS6 + RS2 = (6+2) . RS = RS8
I nearly lost it when Doug teleported and said second "THISSSSSSSSSSSS"
I wish I could've lived (as an adult) in the era of the RS2, new cars just won't do it for me with their excessive styling and lack of excitement with the missing 3rd pedal, even though they're clearly faster and more advanced in technology. Call me any kind of boomer, but we're losing key elements of why we car enthusiasts are loving cars without many people realising them. People who treat them like just a tool which transports them from A-to-B.
