Always love seeing what you take to your BST stores! I’ve really been getting into it ever since you told me about it last year 🥰🎉 do they offer more value if you decide to trade instead of take the cash?
I'm so glad that these videos have helped someone! Clothes Mentor offers more value for trade in money, but Plato's does not. CM just takes soooooo long to sort that I don't enjoy shopping there because I never know when they will finish sorting.
i quit going to my local platos because they love to pretend they're some kind of high end consignment boutique but somehow their racks are filled with stretched walmart crap lol. I do go to clothes mentor and another similar to CM and i've added once upon a child. I feel like it takes a couple of trips to any BST stores in order to figure out what they'll take and what they won't.
LOL I can totally relate what you are saying about Plato's! They always have pilled worn no name brands on their racks and still reject perfectly good things from me! I've actually had more issues with Clothes Mentor lately, mostly because they take forever to sort through my stuff. I agree that it definitely takes a few trys to figure out what your local buy sell trade stores want to buy.
Have you ever considered buying a lot on bulq.com and seeing what Plates and clothes mentor would give you for it. Bulq.com sells target clothes liquidation lots and you can find lots on 50% section for between 1-2 an item. I like them as I usually find some nice items for me to keep and others to resell . It would make an interesting video
When you do this, is there anything regarding taxes you have to deal with? Seems like such an easy way to flip and I want to try it but….I still have that question about taxes. Oy!
I do account for taxes when I do this. I keep a spreadsheet of my earnings and expenses and report it along with my other reselling earnings at the end of the year.
@@ChelseaSonshine I keep a spreadsheet. I’m making it harder than it is, I’m pretty sure, but I’m new to it all. lol. Thank you so much for the response. 🤗
I am not asking for my items back after they go in to thred up. I am using it as more of a last resort for selling inventory. On the last bag I sent in they took over 85% of what I sent in so I was super happy with that!
Thanks for sharing your opinion. I disagree, because there is so much clothing that goes to the landfill daily. I’m just a little reseller over here saving some good clothes from the goodwill outlet and giving it a new home. ❤️
Your shirt reminds me of Van Gogh's Twelve Sunflowers painting
Ok, I just googled that and It looks like Target is ripping off Van Gogh in this tee shirt.

Thanks for this info! Ive been wondering what both places typically take. I havent tried this route yet, but plan to soon!
You are welcome! I'm glad it was helpful!
I love the shirt you have on
Thanks! It's originally from Target but I got it from the bins!
Love the Cash Cat!!
Thanks 😂
I left the money sitting out on the couch after I finished filming and found him like that a few minutes later. 😅
I love your shirt 💕
Thanks! It's a Target brand tee shirt but I got it from the bins!

I have never heard of bulq but I will definitely check it out and see if it's something that would be worth my time and money, thanks!

@@EDH1712 I hired a CPA to help me and she really helped me simplify things. I 100% recommended talking to a CPA!
Any thoughts on Buffalo Exchange? You can mail in items to them.
I actually do not have a Buffalo Exchange near me. That is so cool that you can mail items in to them, I may look into that!
Can I ask when you send to thred up are you asking for items back if they don't accept?

@@ChelseaSonshine I have not done thred up before, can I ask is it a payout or a credit to shop?
@@melindabowen5322 you can use the payout for either. I personally cash out. If I remember correctly they pay you via PayPal.
This isn’t right at all

It’s giving clothing a second chance at another life.
