Hi from Aussie, I'm well versed in rescuing animals, especially puppies, he/she needs feeding every two hrs for at least 4 days then every four hrs till he/she can eat herself, be persistent in getting the syring in her mouth, she will eventually just latch on, u then need to stimulate her butt and genitals so she can pass waste, do it with a moist cloth, as her mother would lick her to assist, keep warm but not hot. Time really flew by so fast, I feel like it was just yesterday when I first watched your vlog back in 2015.
But, as they say, age is just a number, so just enjoy and keep living life to the fullest!
By the way, I have a name suggestion for the new pup - "HOPE" - since you gave her hope by saving her the night you found her. It can also be "IRIS", a flower that symbolizes hope, I mean, if you want to be consistent with the "flower theme" since you named your first rescue dog, Poppy ☺

Happy birthday! I' m interested in what type of visa's you guys are on and how you managed to buy land as foreigners? I am also from the UK and vegan, and plan to move to the Philippines. Thanks!
I think they're staying in the Philippines on tourist visas which they just keep on extending every now and then before they expire as shown in their previous vlogs. A foreign national on a tourist visa can actually stay in the Philippines for a maximum of 3 yrs without having to leave the country to do a "visa run" which can be annoying & troublesome for some people. You just need to extend your PH tourist visa when it's due. Of course, foreigners can leave the PH anytime they want to but for foreign nationals staying in the Philippines for 3 consecutive years on tourist visa, they'll need to leave the country after 3 yrs and just go back to the PH if they want to and do the process all over again. The Philippine gov't also offers a 'Special Resident Retiree's Visa (SRRV)' if ever you're interested to stay in the PH for long-term. You can just google the requirements and benefits for having one. You should know that foreign nationals cannot buy land in the PH but foreigners can buy & own condo units, rent a house or they can lease land for a long term period & build their own house on a leased land. J & Sacha were only able to buy land in Siargao because Sacha's stepmom is a Filipino citizen and I guess they had an agreement with her.

Hopefully the puppy is ok. I didn’t have the greatest experience with Veterinarians in SE Asia. For that reason I’d have been more comfortable taking the puppy home after the visit to make sure it was fed.
