Great class i am all in for learning as much as possible and practice on old boards bad and good especially with curve tracing to build a data base this type of work is so fulfilling especially from an old school tech like myself who started in the late 80s when carbs were in and fuel injection was not out yet so i love it keep up the great work and God bless everyone

I've started with computers in 1990 and went on to work in electrical for many years. I had heath issues and ended up doing automotive Diagnostics I have scopes and many other tools. I already use alldata. I started working on ecu and such due again to heath issues my meds I can't be out in heat alot so I changed back to board repair. Good job explaining to Know both sides really helps alot in this.

You have done a really huge job to make this video understandable for everyone.
It would be great if you probably give me an advise how properly resolve my issue???
I got Nissan X trail T 31 diesel, 4x4 , 2010 year. I got a problem with foult P1435. Its DPF. It happened because I forgot to clean up a cup oil catcher. ( My first Diesel car)
    I already done next steps.
    1. Used AUTEL Launch scanner to delete all mistakes , but only one still remain on a dash board. Yellow Engine.
1.1Checks all sensors physically( oxigen, temperature, pressure) signal 5 volts comes to sensors.
1.1 Add DPF cleaner to a fuel and straight away before Catalytic filter and RPM between 2200- 2500 for 50 minutes to clean DPF filter. No black smoke.
1.2Car works well no power loss fast and powerful like Ferrari but unfortunately I can't ACTIVATE CRUISE CONTROL.
    CONCLUSION.
I ENDED UP with conclusion that there is possibility that DPF filter is clean and This fault was gone to An emergency foulder. That's why Yellow Engine indicates on my dash board. To reset it from emergency Folder I need to visit a Nissan Dealer .
I DON'T WANT TO DO IT.
So MY QUESTION IS. Ktag programmer can help me to Reset this fault ???
Thank you very much for your Help.
    Sincerely yours,
    Dmytro Kliuchka

I currently just bought a Godiag GT100 breakout box since I want to get more in depth to be able to use my Autel Ultra or ISTA on the bench. I have a MEVD17.2P in my lab and for some reason with the godiag and ultra it is not reading DME. Not sure what I’m doing wrong but what would be the pin outs to get this to work on the bench? I have currently pin 1,22,40 12v, pin 1,3,11,7 GND, pin 43,44 Can L-H. What pins am I missing?

Maic, heres a question. Do you know how the ECM decides to set a P0420 code. Is it the number of cross counts over .45 volts for the downstream 02 sensor? Have you ever tested an ecm to see what triggers this fault? There are a bunch of videos on P0420 but none discuss the actual cause of the fault.

I have watched your other videos on ecu repair from 1 t0 5 both on sensors, transistors(pnp, non etc) but I have a question on class 2 which I enjoyed but how is the connection between the ECU simulator, ECU and the scan tool. How are you able to use the scan tool to diagnose on the bench. I don't understand it and no explanation on it.... Do you have an email too or you prefer the RUclips comment section.... Anyway thanks alot. Better days ahead.

    • @MaicSalazarDiagnostics

Well connections from ECU to the simulator are based on each vehicle, powers, and grounds, the main signals, or the signal you need to test base on the customer complaint.
The scanner connections are also based on each specific vehicle communication protocols, I use an OBD2 connector and supply the power, grounds, and communication lines from the ECM to DLC.
