WOW really, i was so hoping that i was going to see it run! That would have been the climax to the entire explanation of the details. Although im disappointed i think its still a very sweet ride. Good vid thx for sharing👍
Losi would be well advised to develop and produce a purpose made 5IVE-Be. It would cost less and weight less. and the trend is moving toward larger RCs. I know the 6IX did not work out so well, but a 7EVEN based on the 8IGHT would be a smart way to get back into that market.
Hi, I bought this kit a week ago and I’m building it now. I’ve not decided on which esc and motor to get. Has John driven it yet? I would really like to know if this setup is a good one. It looks good for sure 🙌🏻 thanks 👍🏻
Hi Erik. Congrats on your 5IVE-B! John's car has been working well without issue. The only setup change made was upping the front shock oil 10wt. I believe the kit includes the same oil for the front and rear, but the front was a little soft for John's liking. For the ESC, the electric conversion ESC mount is designed for the Dynamite and even has mounting points with rubber grommets to secure it. No other ESC can be mounted to the plate in the same way. Johns bought the Hobbywing ESC originally but exchanged it for the Dynamite after realizing this. For motor, I would recommend you stick with the ESC brand you choose. Hope this helps and shoot over any other questions you have. Thanks. -Brett
AMain Hobbies hi Brett, thanks for your answer. There are a couple of conversion kits but I think the TLR is best looking one. It looks way better balanced then other kits. I’m still on the fence for a castle 2028 + esc combo or the dynamite fuze combo 🧐 grtz erik
A lot of people in a lot of situations can not have Gas engines for their RCs. Usually noise ordinances, that may allow automobiles and some lawn equipment, but not non-transportation and non-work applications, like RCs. Or just neighbors who do not want the noise. Not everyone has access to RC tracks and fields, the best they can manage is a local park or a conspicuously large vacant lot, and do not want to have to go road tripping to find a place to just "wheel around" a bit. Also EP (electric powered) is just more fun and easier to live with overall than Gas or Nitro, which is a major reason why Gas and Nitro are shrinking from all but competition ranks in the hobby. I honestly cannot recall the last non-competition RC to be released from anyone that was not EP.
DocWolph I agree with all that you said except that gas is alive and well in the serious 1/5 scale racing and bashing! It’s so fun. But I get what your saying and support that 100%
Conversion kit is gone I believe. The DB XL-E 2.0 is very similar to a electric converted 5IVE-B, just not as robust but still a great 1/5 buggy: www.amainhobbies.com/losi-desert-buggy-db-xle-2.0-8s-1-5-rtr-4wd-electric-buggy-fox-los05020v2t1/p-qqqct2tq6mzxqctz -Brett
I believe it is included with the Electric Conversion Kit: www.amainhobbies.com/team-losi-racing-5iveb-t-electric-conversion-kit-tlr358000/p776022? -Brett
Not exactly. We have some employees who will help build on the side, and our retail store has an hourly labor service, but we don't have any official build or customization service. -Brett
AMain Hobbies if someone there maybe want to do a build for me. I wanted the losi mtxl converted to electric with the most power as possible kinda like this one or better. Send me a list of parts and I’ll order it online and I’ll pay for labor for the conversion. I live a few hours away. Can’t wait to hear from you.
Can't drive in reverse with the mechanical brakes. Other than that, it should be a ton lighter without the two stroke; +you can bash in your local neighborhood without pissing off the old ladies.
John was using 5IVE-T Tires & 5IVE-T Beadlock wheels. If I remember correctly, the 5IVE-B tires/wheels are not beadlocks, with tires potentially ripping off the wheel. Beadlocks are reusable and the best way to prevent seperation, without the use of glue. 5IVE-T Wheels: www.amainhobbies.com/losi-5ivet-wheel-set-w-beadlocks-2-white-losb7033/p-quqqq2wqpmzxactz 5IVE-T Tires: www.amainhobbies.com/search?s=5ivet+tires I believe you will need to buy tire inserts separately, listed in that second link. Hope this helps. -Brett
Talk about a case of Blue B's. No run video?
How do you post a video like that and not run it.
Cause it's brand new build and not his.
What Ryan said.
-Brett
@@AMain_Hobbies so post it indoor lol not trackside at a ready to go outdoor track!
WOW really, i was so hoping that i was going to see it run! That would have been the climax to the entire explanation of the details. Although im disappointed i think its still a very sweet ride. Good vid thx for sharing👍
$2400 build. So beautiful. Can’t wait to see some track footage.
Probably cost more than my real car and a hell of a lot more impressive lol. Can't wait to see it driven. ✌️😎👍
It will be nice if you can do a buid video of a similar build for people who are now getting into the hobby
Wow thats one awesome rig, very impressive
what a Gorgeous 5B build man! Sweeeeet!
What a conversion, Looks awesome, fantastic Job, Really Love that beast 👍😍👍great comparisons to on scales, 👍👍👍👍👍
Oh Man I love that car! Great Job Brett!

I'm with you. The Desert Buggy XL-E is close to the 5IVE-B and the 2.0 has seen many updates. It might be as close as we get.
-Brett
Man that thing is a beast 💪, thanks for video.
I bet that car won't be sick with my xlx2 and 1100kv motor on 8s!
Amain hobbies one stop shopping been wanting to do a 1/5th scale conversion really nice🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
That thing is so big, I wonder how long it will take before you have to carry collision insurance on it!
That is a beautiful kit! Nice!
Crazy car..it is awesome 👌
Wow awesome car
what a nice built ! any running video since february ?
Very nice set-up guys!! As mentioned, is there a radio tray upgrade to be had like shown in the video??

Let us know which direction you go and we'd love to see the finished model when the time comes! Thanks

AMain Hobbies will there be some footage of this beauty in the near future?
Hopefully. We need better, dryer weather.

Should have ran a 34cc obr engine like I did!

Brett! Lets see it RIP some track up man!!!
Would love to have that Buggy
That angle on the steering linkage would drive me crazy
Hey Horizon, make these available.
My next project wile I wait for the new truggy but I can guarantee it will be running a gasoline engine that for sure
Dropped my jaw!
Bwahahaha! Hurry pick it up before you step on it!😂😎👍
I can't afford it very quickly. lol
My wallet shrunk up like my nuts do in cold water when I saw this!😂😂
Dengg! Is that Brian Kinwald, the legend??😨
Wanted to see it go
What a tease
.
When are we going to see this electric conversion run videos.
Great question. Haven't heard much from the vehicle owner. I don't think he's had time to drive.
-Brett
WTF....epic!
The electric conversion kit not available anymore? Is there something else equally as good?

How do you make a video with all the wrong info. Its 26cc not .26
Are you sure; I thought it was 26 gallons?
-Brett
We need running videos 👍
Nice car bro...where can i get the brake system to buy?....."Bless up"

Do you guys build/customize for clients? I live few cities away and was wondering if you guys convert gas to electric? Like the losi mtxl to electric.

I'm seeing that it has a 4s battery. Is that sufficient for a car this size?
Hi Cory. This vehicle uses two 4S batteries; but it could still use more ;)

8 volts?
I want that OwO I was thinking of 1/8 but 1/5 looks sexy
would of been nice to see it next to its 8ight lil brother
The 1/8th looks like a 1/10th or smaller...
I need one any for sale
You’d have to do cautions for wrecks or else you might kill a corner marshal.....
Need a running vídeo!
‘Say-vox’ lol
John is mean.
HA! Maybe, but he has cool R/C cars.
-Brett
not .26- .29 its 26cc to 29cc 2stroke enigne
Wow, I'll bet those diff cases each take an entire bottle of lube, lol.
2:47 Stop!!!!
If you want to see a real Losi 5ive b with real gas power here you go! ruclips.net/video/X7k-H5zILJc/видео.html
Thats what? A 2000$ build 🙄
It is a HOBBY and not meant to be a "sensible investment". If one has the money and does not mind spending it, so be it.
ffs just send it !!!
That is kinda lame to show this and not drive it.
*No,* *No ofcourse I'm not jealous* *pfffft* 😂
😐
Not .23 anything, it’s 23cc there’s no “point” In that....
Point taken. Thanks.
-Brett
You get a thumbs down for getting my hopes up and not driving it
Drive it please
Building one of these is fuking expensive 1500+
Comes to the track and hypes it up but doesn't even drive it lol
You just lost a customer.
Jk
If you're unhappy we couldn't drive someone else's car - welcome to the club.
-Brett
@@AMain_Hobbies its ok I understand
You are running on 8v 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I think you need to find a new EDITOR HAHAHA
Looks expensive
Wth? You went to a track! I expected to see it run! Waste of time
one word! joke lmfao!
You a joke
Meh.
