Today we're scaling up a video Nate made a few years ago and seeing if it will actually work. Using a combination of fixed and moving pulleys, it seems possible to build an elevator without using any electricity.

THANK YOU!! ✌️👑
Peep those A+ elevator jokes at the end of the video, and reply to this comment if you have a better one 😂
I was looking for a pun in the elevator, but it let me down
Also I found your joke online 😂😂
A very uplifting video!
These vids always lift my spirits
You guys need to participate in team seas!
I'm afraid of elevators I've been taking steps to avoid them
Looks like a kids dream come true! I tried to do something like that when I was younger, but my rope snapped🙃
@yeeter8046 ye have
oh there members
so they get early accses

Elevator puns- just the thing to lift my spirits.
what goes up must come down
yall missed the opportunity to name it THOR (Tree House Of Random)
This is sick! I’ve always liked tree houses!
I love this!!! My uncle and I are going to be building and earthbag house starting in about a year, IF the LORD is willing and things line up so that we may do so. anyway, most of the building will be done by us, and I knew there was a way to use pulleys to raise stuff that will be over our heads, but I wasn't exactly positive of how that would work....This shows me I had it pictured correctly in my mind. Yay me. lol!!!!
My Grandad, Mom and Dad had used various techniques to make things easier to do/to build and would help us with everything, but they have passed on, so this has truly helped me to confirm memory of things they taught me growing up.
Thank you and many blessings!!!
Never needed electricity just basic physics and knowledge of gravity.
Seriously! The Colosseum in ancient Rome made extensive use of elevators, long before electric power was available.
@@essaboselin5252 thanks to brilliant engineers and manpower of course
Lol
Well, and a crank to crank the weight back up. Might as well just used the crank to crank yourself up to the treehouse. :) Just a manual chain hoist would have been easier and safer.
I haven't watched a tkor video in over 8 months... This feels *so off*
Dang that's a long time
Yeah. TKOR is gone.
@@squod1 I miss the old times
Yeah same doesn’t seem right anymore
Yeah last video I saw had the red headed girl in it
We can’t forget Great
Finally a normal TKOR video
To every tree house. Hey I just killed your friend but hey, hold him for me.🤣🤣
I liked this video. It would have made my treehouse much cooler. Even the groan-inducing jokes at the end were good. Thank you!
Someone needs to give him a raise
Did we just witness the return of Stretch Armstrong?
This idea does sound pretty cool!
ya
I would love to see this redone with the upgrades... better yet, on a real house with a second floor?
Very proud of TKOR!
Also, happy early Halloween🎃!
Beam me up Scotty!
Sounds like a fun concept and with more testing and tweaking then you can make it safe and reliable to go up and down from a tree house
The skeleton saying hello sounded like the kid from home alone
You could also put the mounting beam for the down elevator twice as high as the up one. That way it uses twice as much rope to go down and the weight rises the same amount.
I love videos like this. Great job
Poor Sheldon
7:51 the power of mechanical advantage
This was super neat
Also loved the elevator jokes! 😆
FINALLY a video with Nate in it again!
Love the new video format. Nostalgia
Darn I want to try that. Brilliant.
Hi love you guys 🥰
Love your videos! Keep up the great work!!
I knew a treehouse video is coming when I saw the pole on RUclips
Reminds me of the older videos
The king shall live on
This is amazing!
And love the puns at the end!
Yay, you made it! I just saw your old post and bam my wish came true for this
Some sort of treadle to power the winder might be a good way to go for lifting the weight.
The puns at the end just made the video, lol.
I love everything that everybody at TKOR do and have done for years so don't get me wrong here but the amount of vids and quality has definitely changed recently. Hope everything is OK
@TKOR (Video Idea) make a super sized goldfish snack!
Omg, exactly what I was looking. But now i need to watch on slow MO, so i can follow the details 😂
Good video and cool concept! Just kind of wished you set it up on a tree house some kid would actually use and not one at an abandoned house.
Love seeing my name being used as a skeleton demonstration. It’s not often you hear Sheldon being used.
Are Nates joke from the book Going up by L. E. Vator? 😂😂😂😂😂
Make worlds biggest potato cannon!
If you had a two story tree house your decent line could be twice as long so you would not have to have a hand crank at all.
It would be so awesome if you could improve on this for someone in a wheelchair to be able to use it safely. Spending my whole life in a wheelchair and feeling left out a lot it would be really cool to
Have a way for disabled people to enjoy a tree house just like any other kid
That's a cool idea!
Very cool!
Fun!
What can you do with pepperoni? 🍕 Can you freeze dry them?
Brilliant
A pedal-powered elevator is so much easier-to-use
YOU GUYS SHOULD SUPPORT TEAM SEAS
bro I watched your pulley video and I’ve been waiting for this
I have an idea! Nate said bigger wheel and longer spokes, so I thought of Indiana Jones & The Temple of Doom where they were lowering and raising people above the lava pit 🙂
WOW awesome 👌
Try garage door springs somehow. With a garage door operator.
Something to get the weight all the way up, if itd work getting another pully system on the return rope, something effektivly doubling the lengh of the rope pull for the decent
I love this video, that looks fun! Great puns too lmao. Also, I hope you all can make the upgraded version of the treehouse someday.
The pattern behind u on ur pro reminds me of a jelly-like cake my Filipino mother makes
This is so cool I wish I had this when I was a kid
You guys should make a boat out of Flex Seal, Flex tape and Spray Foam.
This is the first new vid ive seen in weeks
So I wasn’t right, but I wasn’t wrong. Lol
If you added one more pulley, the difference between force on the black rope vs the orange rope would be 33% instead of 50% so could you then make it more balanced between the 2? Also, the weights could be configurable so you could just swap them out for different individuals?
Cool!
I had a rope I put around a branch and made a loop at the bottom, I would pull myself up with the opposite end and have my foot in the loop and I could climb all the way up the tree like that
The rope broke and I landed thankfully on my feet without any injury
Tacos is NOT what we used tree houses for...happy endings was what tree houses were used for
I'm 61 years old & moving to a 3rd story apartment. Can you please make a simple pulley system to use as a grocery hoist over a balcony? I'm thinking a small block & tackle would work, but can't figure what to mount it on that won't put wear & tear on the balcony. Freestanding? I have no tools to build anything elaborate. Would greatly appreciate - that would be a lifesaver.
So now you have a volunteer for every single video
Do a collab with Colin furze for the problems and improvements
Nice!!
It would include some muscle strength/endurance but one could also use some snatch blocks and pull yourself up that way too probably
أحلى قناة⚡و تستحق أكثر ❤️💯
a couple years ago, a friend and I stepped into an elevator going down. and we thought....its not really an elevator if its going down.... so it must be a delevator. But I wasn't sure delevate was actually a word.
So I looked up what the opposite of "elevate" is when I got home.....
and its "depress". So when you are taking an elevator -down- you are being.......Depressed!
Could you try a few more molten things, maybe make a cool alloy(indium and gallium) or molten salt explosions?
so cool i wish my tree house had this
I just realized that Nate looks like my mom’s friend
I always wanted a treehouse as a kid :(
I would use peddle power and the bike breaks to keep you from following to bring you up and down but use the crank for cargo
I thought your content is all about tech because of the logo but i looked to your old videos the logo is yellow and black i believe that's the old logo because yellow and black are most likely looks like creativity or experiments color signs😁
Mini Nate looks freaky 🤣
Happy Halloween👻👻👻👻
i did this 2 years ago with climbing rope a wood plank (for a seat) netting and a bucket of horse shoes
You mean, S’Mores. S’Mores go well with treehouses.
Oof, sad to see one of my favorite channels dying... :(
So cool man
Yesssssss love the vids jeep it up
You've heard of Elf on a Shelf, now get ready for Nate on a Weight
This is basically the idea I had, but mine had part of a playground swing to sit (or stand) on.
video idea making a giant gobstopper.
thats epic
This is literally a kids dream
Where is the king of random I miss it so much
1:50
it should be the weight of the nate below
You should use weights from a weight machine then it’s adjustable axed on a persons weight.
Imagine that rope grabs your foot and suddenly you get upside down. That would be pretty funny and ...dangerous. Be carefull kids.
Poor Stretch, Picked on again
I feel like I'd rather use water weight. That way, there's just one rope and one pulley. But there are buckets attached to both ends. To go down, you open a valve to pour water into your bucket (this can be a garden hose). You can adjust speed to what you're comfortable with.
To go up, you unlatch the line and then you open a valve to release water from your bucket. Again, you can adjust speed to what you're comfortable with.
Cant use it in the winter
@@minecraftgirl8733 Not a problem where I live, but I see what you mean.
In colder climates, you could keep the water from freezing with anti-freeze.
Well now you are more than qualified to make a self powered elevator
can you blend gumballs in a blender and then try and make that into cotton candy? Also, love your videos... been watching you guys for years :)
