I actually had to listen to this one twice. Probably one of the most powerful rap songs, at least to me you've reacted to. That line, We Rap, We don't think, really made it for me. That was always the thing about a lot of rap music that turned me off. all those songs about killing, AK this, Glock that, kill the police, was a big turnoff to me. Although it has evolved from this, I think it actually goes back to the beatboxing era of hip hop where emcees would rap in a way that mimicked the sound records would make when DJs would scratch them on the turntable. Don’t know the artists to reference off the top of my head, but I’ve certainly heard it.
