The songwriters on MIAMI MY AMY were Royce Porter, Hank Cochran & Dean Dillan. This song shot straight to #1 and got Whitley's recording contract reinstated. Porter said Keith was previously dropped from all contracts due to his alcohol problem. I was Porter's manager; he told me he & Whitley were planning a tour with the success of MIAMI...they were going to write more songs on the tour. But Keith passed before they left. Devastating.
