While country’s not my go to pick, Keith’s songs bring me back to when I was a little kid, watching my mom turn off all the lights and light some candles while jamming to his music. It makes me happy to see more people enjoy his work and I know he would’ve loved it 💜

The songwriters on MIAMI MY AMY were Royce Porter, Hank Cochran & Dean Dillan. This song shot straight to #1 and got Whitley's recording contract reinstated. Porter said Keith was previously dropped from all contracts due to his alcohol problem. I was Porter's manager; he told me he & Whitley were planning a tour with the success of MIAMI...they were going to write more songs on the tour. But Keith passed before they left. Devastating.
