This is is a breath of fresh air, artistic very personal approach. No tons of baskets and tons of every popular object out there. This woman is not turning her home into cheap exhibition of currently hot stuff. We can learn from her❤😊🎉
It's really nice to see a decorating / makeover video with things conscientiously thrifted and thought of, I find it increasingly stressful to watch regular makeover with things just being replaced for no reasons by even more new things that will also be replaced in a little while. The colour of the chair is really pretty and I also love the art deco style.
I have just watched all three of your videos in sequence, and I so hope you find the health and strength to keep posting in a manner that supports and doesn't drain you. I agree with others who have commented on your colour sense and also enjoy the coming together of interiors as things are thrifted and repaired. My own rental homes have been an ode to hard rubbish collections over many decades, and I find it a far greater pleasure (and more realistic) to watch a space change and layer as it is lived in than to see the cheap-looking but costly "instant" makeovers that predominate on RUclips. I look forward to watching your space, your art, your use of recording equioment, your health, and your direction all grow and develop with time and care. Thank you for sharing your work and life.
thank you so much for that kind comment! I admit the first first few videos did drain me but it's all about finding and sticking to your baseline and I've finally found my grove with that and the videos. it's really nice to have something to look forward to each day. and yes we have to let the natural flow of life into our homes !
your mom's pillow is a treasure. I have a pillow my grandmother needlepointed me back in the 70s. Nothing will ever have more value. I'm glad you will see it every time you walk through your door. it will probably make you smile each time.
I really like the little drape you attached to the inside bottom of the desk, I have never seen that done before and I think that it is a great idea. The chair that you painted is so pretty, and the corner you have set up looks inviting. Wow about the pillow, it is a treasure. It looks to me that you have a real eye for color, everything flows so well. Sucks about the chronic fatigue, I have also that experience, all I can say is that it sucks. Best wishes to you and thank you for sharing this video, I really enjoyed it. Laurie
thanks so much ! I so glad I stopped being afraid of color. and yep, you summed it up, it does suck ! I hope you'll navigate your ways to better times. 💚
Totally relate to op shopping away from the city to avoid hipsters.😆Good to hear that you prioritise your health over pumping out content. Looking forward to your next video.🌼
I just found your channel today and I'm loving your videos. I especially loved the skirt for the writing desk to hide your router, it's such a good idea it looks so good!
Your corner looks so warm and cozy, it’s amazing what the little pops of color make and it’s all original found objects! Great job, enjoying your channel! 👍❤️
Didn't know what you meant by 'op-shopping', I thought it might just be a way of saying that you were keeping an eye out for shopping opportunities that might arise on your trip. But lo and behold!, an op-shop is an actual thing! (Not an Aussie here.)
Love how it turned out! Really like the red, blue, brown (wood) combination. Curious to see which color you'll paint the mirror. Maybe red would go well with the pillow and small striped curtain? Anyhow thanks for your inspiring content 😃
I'm loving your videos, however your audio is a bit inconsistent in that your commentary sometimes come in at different volumes and only in one side of my headphones. Just so you know! Otherwise, keep up the great work, cant wait to see ore from you!
thanks for letting me know ! I didn't know about the headphones! I played around alot with the audio in that video but couldn't manage to get it perfect... still something I need to work on ! but thankyou ☺️
I really enjoyed your video, it is nice to see things in a slow pace. Perhaps you could make it even slower. I love videos of people doing their crafts both in real time pace, but also edited like hannah lee duggan when she is building stuff. I am an artist myself, recovering from addiction and anxiety due to trying to keep up with life and expectations, and it really helps me watching things in a slow pace. I feel inspired to share my own creativity by watching these videos, so thank you for sharing this with me, hope you will recover soon, take care of yourself
thanks for your comment natasja! I definitely will do some videos that are a bit more detailed of just one 1 or 2 things. it's going to be a fine balancing act for sure! but I know my boundaries very well. i hope your creativity and others will continue to be an anchor for you 💜
Loving your videos! Btw your mic settings seem to be causing all the sound to play on one side (ie. On Headphones i can only hear your voice in my left ear) It's only happening with the main mic i think. Its a bit difficult to listen to. Ignore me if this is a known thing
hello thats funny your the second person who asked that unfortunately I think it comes off really different on camera it is just plain old vivid white :)

Oh, and look out for some Howard's clean and wax. Worth every cent if you like taking in and caring for old furniture.

haha yes I try to say thrifting but sometimes I forget and it still feels a bit weird saying it ! 😆
I love a touch of stripe-it's all in the details~

Thanks for watching!
I am trying to find a writing desk! I love your styling! Very inspiring
Yay! Thank you!
The boyfriends and their TVs... I feel your pain, Shaunna. I have an even bigger TV in our living room, which renders all my design efforts useless.
Oh NO! It has been a great point of contention in our house, seriously 😆
What a lovely home and makeover! Really enjoyed the calming vibes of this video, glad to have found your channel!
Thanks so much! 😊
New subscriber here....literally "fell" into this sweet gal. I live in Idaho, US!!! Luv your input..keep it up!!!!

Gorgeous intro!
i love your videos. Glad you're here
Glad you like them!
Love it 😍❤️👍
I absolutely love the crochet pillow! does your mom have the pattern for it?
That mirror has an art deco vibe too. Never seen a skirt in furniture, so cute and functional, might use to hide cords which I don't like to see.
yes! I'm all for hiding ugliness ! 😆
Love your videos...❤
Love how it turned out! Really like the red, blue, brown (wood) combination. Curious to see which color you'll paint the mirror. Maybe red would go well with the pillow and small striped curtain? Anyhow thanks for your inspiring content 😃
thankyou! there's a chance it might be red 😉

hello thats funny your the second person who asked that unfortunately I think it comes off really different on camera it is just plain old vivid white :)
'Promo SM'
sorry I don't know what you mean by that ?
