I remember watching joel work on this show on Twitch and then seeing it live just blew my mind on how much more technical this was than i even could imagine. Ive never seen another performer in any entertainment put on a show like this. nothing has come close.
I swear the kids going to his shows don't even appreciate his pure musical genius. The crowd looks so dead, I would have broke my back dancing to music at a concert like that.

Of course it did. But that came around after he made it in the scene. Joel did something for house, no EDM that no other artist was willing to do; he made new samples and used those samples to create incredibly deep music. He made songs that sounded simple to the uninitiated, but upon closer listen was deep and layered unlike anything else. It made you want to move, or get lost in a distant world. TLDR: fuck you. And props to ddvniek, I was thinking exactly the same thing, all those stupid phones, no one is moving. Get dancing or gtfo.

I'm a 37 year old programmer dad who can't / won't go to a "Festival" because I'd feel so out of place. However, in a chill, regular seeming concert crowd like this.. I may feel at home. I would rather not have people chanting, or clapping, or doing absurdly crazy stuff. I also don't care to see 10 different acts. I go to see the main act, and the openers. *Side Note* my 10yo daughter wanted to go as deadmau5 for halloween. I built her a perfect DM head. Cost me about 100 dollars. Probably the most epic costume on the strip. So many 'teens' to her and even people I knew were in their 20s were like "YAAAAA" & High fives. I could see (in a few years) taking her to a concert like this with some of her friends and not worrying TOO MUCH about the crowd being so cringe-worthy. Lewdness and disrespect (seemingly a festival thing) are no comparison to a few curse words here and there.
