- When i was reading the manga, this is the only thing i imagined. So the anime came, i was somewhat disapointed. So, i made this. Enjoy :D
This is a music video about Gate with Attack on Titan soundtrack. The music is uncomplete, edited, and is only used for entertainement. I don't own Gate nor Attack on Titan. I just made this for fun and epicness. Think of this as publicity made by a fan :D

It's quite an interesting show in my opinion. Not the best, but quite good.

Gate has so many great scenes. Even though the JSDF is totally OP compared to the Empire, it's still a great watch.
the manga is even better. it goes into the struggles of fighting the empire's guerilla forces after the 2nd season ended. Basically a more medieval version of vietnam

i remember itami once described fighting a dragon like fighting a heavily armored gunship
a single soldier on foot with a simple surface to air rocket launcher wouldnt stand a chance in hell
you would need to fight it in a place with lots of cover like an urban area to be able to face it on your own

I just thought the anti-ship missile would kill the dragon, unexpectedly, the shoulder-rocket can defeat it
I assume it's anti tank, so it should Pierce the dragon natural armor , not sure about severing the arm outright
Actually the dragon wasn't defeated, it was just harmed and was in pain after it was hit by that, and couldn't fight with the pain so it retreated

not really, technology is merely a way to make use of reality. If magic exist, there would be an equivalent "magic technology", example "mahouka koukou no rettousei" is pretty much using scientific method on magic. So this depend on how advance their technology is.

In another footage this very dragon could keep up with a jet fighter at low speed so instead of diving at them and pulverize those jeeps like tin cans it just stands there ...
I understand the interest of GATE, yes our technology and fire power would be completely insane in this set up, but let's face it, the fantasy universe in GATE is weak as hell compared to those we know of.
Yes, it's the biggest problem of GATE. While it is logic that modern military should win against fantasy armies, the lack of challenge and danger from the fantasy world make the show weak in my opinion. GATE could have been way better if the JSDF started to have trouble against unknown creature/magics from the Empire, but sadly it never happened :/
Pretty much, and it all make sense how powerless the JSDF would be to magic or other mystical beings when you see how Rory decimated multiple commando squads while toying with them ~

Not to mention what kind of a logistical nigtmare it would be to invade a world that completely lacks modern infrastructure. No satellites to guide modern weapon systems or for communcation, practically no oil, no proper roads and local diseases that would be practically harmless for the locals could be deadly to people from our world... Then again we could maybe wipe out most of the population with the diseases we bring with us.
But magic could be really destructive against modern troops, since it's something we have no understanding of and no way to counter. It could potentially level the playing field quite effectively, at least in some situations.
Welp I'm pretty sure the JSDF or even the Entire world will be powerless against Magic Fantasy World because I'm pretty sure that Magic can hold RPG, Missile, Bullet with Magic Barrier then teleport Dragon to different unprepared Military Base all across the Earth it would Devastated the world hell I'm even thinking Magic Barrier can stop Nuclear

The original sound track gives a much better sense of what was going on.
In one case, we can say that magic on that world is still weak. They need more research into it to advance it to even equal the technology we have now.
But what if we take technology and magic both to the extremes? I'm talking about magic that has destroying power of basically nukes, and mass teleport and shit. Pit it against unimaginably advanced interstellar civilization that basically made star systems their backyard. Let's also say both have the ability to 'teleport' somehow. Fuck it, let's say both have time travel abilities (or something like that) etc etc. Which one would win?
They need more mages with protection magic, then the bullets and missiles can be shrugged off, they also need more mages for an offensive... hmm, so an all magic society

It is a normal sized arrow, but ii seems like it look a bit bigger during the fight so the audience could see it better imo
