I've spent the last couple of weeks learning this game, and have a live playthrough video planned for the 4th March. I'll check out this video, just to check we are playing correctly :)
It is a beast of a game. Hope the video helps to play it correctly. It was a rough 3 last weeks to create this but is triple checked for mistakes. I will be answering questions regarding rules tomorrow. Stay tuned

there are some points noted corrected already with klingon subs:
50:42 Capitalist gains 1VP / 2 food and not three. (like w.class and middle class)
01:02:42 Forgot to mention that the M.class also gains VP for remaining resources in their storages. 1VP /2 food/3 luxury/3 education/3 health
01:21:15 When policy 6 changes classes can only adjust the prices of goods and not of services (as I show adjusting)
02:21:33 In the beggining of the IMF step, the State may repay its loans for 55V each to bring its loans to an acceptable level and avoid IMF intervention.

Masterful! I don't know why in the age of RUclips board games, especially for deep ones such as Hegemony, do not include video instruction with their release. Even at almost 1.5hrs long, l do believe this video is the bridge we desperately needed to access this game. Thank you!
Because if a game lacks of solid and interesting mechanics, a how to play video would make it profound and gamers would be hesitating to buy. Hegemonic project wanted this video cause they are selling Hegemony 's strong mechanism depth
Ah, that makes sense. And I can also see now how it could have the reverse effect as well with super complex games. But either way you look at it, it seems to me to deprive consumers of the ability to judge for themselves. Anyways, thanks again for the video! @@peakyboardgamer

This explanation is excellent. If you worry about the fact it is nearly 1,5 hours long. Just use the timestamps and otherwise, it REALLY helps you saving time eventually because it prevents referring to the rule book.

Excellent tutorial and so helpful for sharing with new players before playing. One thing - I think the state is allowed to have up to the number of loans depicted in policy 1 (so 2 for a and b, 1 for c) without the IMF intervening. So if policy 1 is at b, the IMF only intervenes if the state has 3+ loans.
Sorry for the delay in my reply. No, if you have the loans depicted in the policy the imf intervenes. Its not how many loans you are allowed to have. This is also indicated in the example im the bottom right part of page 33. Also, if i made such a big mistake the guys from hegemonic project games would definatelly yell at me lol. Kidding

Great Job! One small point, @50:42 the Capitalist player gets 1 VP for every 2 food, not three like all the other goods. (see p. 21 of rules)
Also @1:02:42 the Middle Class player also gets VPs for goods in their storage, but not those in the Goods & Services area. You don't expressly mention this which could be helpful for players.

Great video! Small correction (I think): When policy 6 changes, players may only adjust food and luxury prices. But they may adjust health or education prices, when policy 4 respectively 5 changes.
What I say is correct "goods" but unfortunately i show a change in service prices. I will add a klingon sub. Thanks

I may be wrong, but I think you missed one thing about the IMF check.
When checking for the IMF, the state can first pay loans for 55 each.
If it does and go below the limit, the IMF will not intervein.
(page12 of the rulebook)

I believe Middle Class player can only assign Working-Class workers to their companies the moment they build the company or if an action card allow such decision. They can't do that afterwards. Only the Working-Class player can assign or move around their workers at will

Is this any good at 2 player? Seems to be made for 3-4.
I cannot lie. I would not play it with 2. With 3, yes, and let thw state play auto. If you have the automas the game will be more descent. Automas are very sophisticated but you will have so many things to deal with, and you will also have to deal with the automa.
@@peakyboardgamer thanks. That’s what I thought. Amazing that many recommend it for two player on bgg. Could find no negatives against that player count. Most bgg opinions say automa is not needed at 2 and it plays fine normally. Did you play it at 2?

For Capitalist End Game Scoring you mention you score +1 VP for every 3 Food / 3 Education / 3 Healthcare / 3 Luxury left over. In the rule book on page 21, it says score 1 VP for every 2 Food, which one is correct? Also your video is one of the best learning video's I've seen. Keep up the good work!

@27:35 you say that after the middle class companies are operational, the middle class player can assign workers to the working class slots. Can the working class worker also assign workers to those slots on operational middle class companies?

Hello. In that section I am explaining the middle class action of creating a new company. the working class can assign working class workers using their assign workers action to these companies. Remember that the companies must be operational in order to do so (ie have the middle class workers). also if the working class workers are removed from these companies, the companies do not cease to be operational.

Question, during the demonstration explanation you point out that the condition is checked after someone builds a company AND assigns its workers. Is that fully correct? If I build a company that the workers don't qualify for, I believe that will still end the demonstration as I just added more jobs, ie now the unemployed does not outnumber the jobs by at least 2.
Its correct. The new company could be assigned with middle class workers.

There was a kickstarter which is near its fulfillment. But I am sure this will become available in retail very soon
At 0:17:00, you say that the Election phase is skipped if there are no Bill Proposals, or carried out if there is more than one. Is this a mistake? What happens if there is exactly one Bill Proposal?
Yeah , excuse my language mistake. Of course you execute the phase if there is at least one proposal. I will add a Klingon sub. Sorry for confusing you.
