    3 Oranges
    6 Carrots
    1 tbsp saffron water
    1 & 1/2 Cups white sugar
    Vegetable Oil
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    I had a craving for Shirin Polo, so glad I found this recipe from you. The only thing I would do different or additionally is toast the almonds(or saute’ them) and add some golden raisins. Never had it with meatballs but I will! Yum!

    why do you cook on the mangal does it make a difference when using a pot over it?

      +Heart Eater I always cook over it as it's just quicker for me as it's higher heat

    Henry do you always make your Shirin polo this way? You don’t candy the orange peel or cook it with the rice? I’m gonna try it this way with your kubideh. 😸😸😸😸 thanks.

    Is there a substitute for the saffron water?

      Henrys HowTos what would you recommend using if I don’t have saffron? Would it be the same water sugar mixture too (assuming something else goes well)?

      You can skip salt, but not safffron
