- Xena, still trapped in Callisto's body, makes a shocking discovery when she comes across an altogether altered Ares
From Xena Warrior Princess Season 2 Episode 8, "Ten Little Warlords": Joxer delivers a letter to Xena, who is still in Callisto's body, telling her that ten of the greatest warriors are being challenged by Sisyphus to slay a monster known as the Barrachus. The reward is Ares' divinity. Meanwhile, Earth is beginning to lose all sanity, as a result of the lack of a Deity of War.

Hudson Leick portrayal of Lucy Lawless playing Xena was superb
As I think now Hudson in my opinion should of been Xena instead of Lucy
They didn't just hire those actresses because they were pretty.

I really wish Callisto had been featured more in the series. Hudson Leick was a superb actress and it felt like once Callisto became a goddess via ambrosia, her storyline started becoming stagnant. On another note, I *really* wish Velasca had came back too.

I really liked Hudson as Xena in these two episodes of the series. It was fun. I wish that they had made it much longer than they had originally.
Fun fact they did extend it longer than originally planned, Lucy broke her pelvis falling off a horse doing promos in the states. They used a combination of Gabrielle focused episodes and Hudson subbing in this way while Lucy recovered
I remember when Callisto first played Xena her battle cry was so bad, but she definitely improved by the time she broke Xena’s back

Yeah. The part of Callisto doing Xena's battle cry in Ides of march is what led to Callisto breaking Xena's back which is also what led to Xena and Gabrielle being crucified on crosses in the first place.
Hudson Leick was the greatest talent this show ever saw by a wide margin. It's too bad her career never took off.

Not even close to Kevin Smith’s talent, he was the most talented of both Hercules & Xena.
Renee O'Connor is better than both in my opinion
They are all Good.
None of them had the range of Hudson. Renee and Kevin probably didn't get as much opportunity, but if they weren't their original characters, they were extra campy.

I think I prefer Ares as a God. Callisto was my favorite villain. She had a great backstory and for a minute there I thought maybe she would get her own spinoff.

the ''symbiotic'' relation in Greece between the people and their gods is pathetic, all of them are affected by anything that affect the olympians, luckely when Xena kill them destroying Olympus too, that stupid inexplicable link broken, because when Ares became mortal again nothing happen, a great relief.
