Yup, it's that time! Trees are bare, I mulched the last of the leaves up last weekend, so this weekend I'm going to convert my x748 to winter use... I start the season with a blade and, after the ground freezes (and the weather requires it), I'll swap the blade for the 47 blower.
I sure wish Deere would have made the 72D for my 2038R connect like that,I'd still be using it but decided not to spend another $1700 on another bad actuator for the auto connect.
I have not regretted it. I take the deck off a couple times a year and so far I haven’t had any issues. If I was older or had some back problems it might be a different story.
Been watching some of your quick bitch videos I’m thinking about going with a quick hitch blower and plow instead of my 47” refrigerator snow blower. Is it a better upgrade ?
If you are keeping it on an older 300/400 series I am not sure its worth the upgrade. By the time you find a quick hitch, PTO set up, an the 47 blower you will easily be at twice the cost of the older 47 blowers. If you are going to upgrade your machine at the same time, I would call it a good potential upgrade. The big perk to the 47 blower is that I can use it across all my machines - 332, 318's, X748, and X758 (I could use it on the 140 if I wanted to).

Just put a blade on my x758! The machine is 2016 and the up and down is hard to make blade move down. It has never be used.Any Thoughts To remedy this problem?
