    All keyboards should have touch sensitive keys. I couldn't agree more. I don't care about the endless number of functions I won't use, I just want sensitive keyssss.

    You're an absolutely bloody legend. We're shopping for one of these now to play in the park with a guitar. You picked up on and called out all the things we cared about (colour and touch sensitivity). If only the cts300 came with multiple colours ! Thanks mate

    Jeremy, as always, thorough balanced descriptions and assessment with no superfluous waffle. But this, as is moderately common with your reviews, leaves the viewer wanting for some brief demonstration of the sounds - not voice by voice, but a few minutes playing brief examples of typical music. This may be intentional, knowing that the different computer speakers most people will be listening through, can widely depart from the actual sound of the keyboard. But then, you do make music demo videos.
    Eeach person will be familiar with the "sound" of their computer so will still get a comparative impression of the keyboard. A point I think you should consider seriously. But congratulations on the consistent high standard of your work.

    Thank you for this review, it helped me target the best keyboard for my young kid to start off sampling musical instruments. Wanted to get the CT-X700, but app functionality and keyboard lighting is a very attractive proposition. Also the battery power in case she wanted to take it with her. Thank you again.

    I ordered the LK S250 few days back and hopefully itll get dlivered later as Christmas present for my kid. I had a hard time explaining to my wife why I had to choose this model over the lower end CTS200, my main considerations were the cordana+key lights and touchtone. When she asked again, ill just send the link to this video to her. Thank you.

    Touch sensitivity is not only related with keys. For the keyboard not to sound awfully bad, it needs to have at least 3 times more sound samples it currently has. And a more powerful processor is required to manage those samples. That means the cost will be higher.

PS: these are the best prices I found :/

    Last weekend I wanted to bring my medium-sized keyboard with me camping. I love to play music outside. (I used to play guitar while camping, but last year arthritis took away the ability to play, so now I'm learning keyboard. I'm actually loving it). My husband, who is really sweet, said, "You can do what you want, dear, but do we REALLY need to take this?" That cinched it for me. I've been trying to decide whether or not to get one of these and I decided I will need one because they are so portable and tough. I guess they come out Oct. 1st? That will be on my list. I also wish they made all of the models with the red option. They're going to sell a lot in that color. :)

    You really do great reviews and they are a big help. One thing I do miss from both yours and all other reviews is comparison of the onboard speakers. Many of your viewers have been disappointed after buying the CT-S1 for instance, only to find it sounds Thin or Tinny unless you run the sound through external stuff. This is clear from the comment section on videos related to that Keyboard..and that is not what many of us are looking to do, certainly not the beginners! So please, we need to hear more about the things that will be real life issues for us, like Onboard speaker sound and how noisy the Keyboard is. Thank you, and please do not misunderstand me, you do a gerat job, maybe the best of them all..But the onboard speaker quality issue is your big miss!

    Thanks for the comprehensive comparison Jeremy. I would just add one more bit for the sake of protecting the CT-S100. I was looking for something for my little kiddo, who is too young to understand the many buttons and functions, also no additional benefit by a screen or other features. CT-S100 is the simple enough keyboard that I am free to leave to the kid without concerns. The worst can happen is that he turns it off.

    Excellent video. The LK 250 has a microphone input? What kind of input, and what mic's can be used, and can it use the reverb effects? If not, I will still definitely go with the CT-S300. The CT-S100 could be good for younger children, and cats learning to play keyboards.
    I think it's a bargain for a full sized touch sensitive keyboard with many decent sounds, pitch bend, speakers, headphone and sustain pedal jack, music stand, battery power and portability, and available keyboard carrying case, though the built in handle is great. All the other features are icing on the cake.

    • @JeremySee
      @JeremySee  4 года назад +1

      Yes, it has a 3.5mm mic input. It is entry level after all. Default reverb will be applied to mic input. Not adjustable. But is decent.

    • @jjacob25101
      @jjacob25101 4 года назад +1

      @@JeremySee I don't need the mic, or lighted keys. I prefer the 1/4" high impedance or low impedance professional mics, but this is an entry level consumer beginner keyboard. The mic reminds me of my Casio Rapmsn keyboard with the cheap mic and vocoder. My Roland JD-Xi has a gooseneck mic with the XLR input, but can use other pro XLR Jack's. Some other older keyboards with gooseneck vocoder mics have the twist in BNC input connector.

    I have a CT-S200 and a CT-S300. The 300 is heard with a noticeably lower volume than the 200. Have you noticed the same thing?

    @Jeremy See In our country the price of the CT-S200 is equivalent to $157-158 USD and the price for the CT-S300 and LK-S250 is equivalent to $196-197 USD. 😢😔 It's quite higher than the prices in other countries.
