you should make a website that we can buy your pids for a dollar or 2 as they help me out like crazy especially on my gtr 349 and i would gladly support you that way
Andy RC pids, yes Speed runs, thanks you I flew mine today on stock pids and did surprisingly good. I like it and want another one. I had to work some magic to place the buzzer and receiver, didn't like were they wanted things. As for recommending to noobs, not so much (maybe if they have a little build experience and 3s..). Still rocking mine a year later, surprisingly solid drone and still flies well. I still enjoy the gemfan 3052 props but the T-motor 3140 props are quite good too. Heavier than most of my quads (even a 4 and 5 inch) but something about the weight actually seems to benefit it. Definitely flies like a bigger quad, in a good way.
what i think is that as 2 "same kwad" need 2 different pid tuning also different pilot need different settings and pids, so for sure someone will say yours are better as other will say JB pids are better... i appreciate the work of both of you: have different arguments, points of view and knowledge, and yes both of you are fantastic!
Spot on. I am interested in quads and have just started watching your videos and my learning curve is exponential. Thx for sorting out the 369 issues. What holds me back on this quad is I am a futaba/jr user since the 90s. Still have a spanking T12fg & 9x that I would like to use with a beginner quad. Appreciate your videos.

I add a dab of goop (hot glue and liquid tape also work) to secure the UFL connector. It keeps it from coming loose, and remains rubbery and pliable. 🤷♂️ Give it a try.
Pids are easier to deal with than filters. I watch uav tech and we communicate on some things but he is way over what anyone who doesn't build their own will want to deal with. Personally, this quad is amazing and easy to fly with a wider range of pids.
****RECOMMENDED TUNE **** If like me, you know nothing about PIDS - **** DO THIS **** If you're looking for your next level quad = listen to ANDYRC, especially this quad. I'm onto my 14th day of flying FPV ACRO - and for the first time ever, it was like 'flying -on-rails,' it felt so responsive and locked in. I was at 45 degree camera angle and ma-a-an it was fast but controllable. Thank you for this - now I need to learn to tune my Armattans

I have used youre PID settings in the past and was very happy with them. So keep up the great work and sont worry about what the mouners say. especially Baedwell. Hr thinks he is a god when iy comes to anything in this hobby. I have been flying fixed wings since I was 12 and rottery models since I was 16 and I am 51 now and I still learn things even now so keep the great content Andy......
I last purchased a Diatone r349 and the Acrobrat frame, transferred all over, and WOW what a fantastic performance increased (on the sticks)!!! Much more locked in... Point-n-shoot.
@@rc-fannl7364 Essentially stock Betaflight 4.0... and I lowered D by about each from original tune. I do need to do some refinement, however. But the difference in just the frame swap... Wow.
@@mwpboarder66 Actually, the swap was very easy!!! Man, if you have the squished frame originally, you almost have to love the Acrobrat set-up. I would consider some e6000 on the front and back of the frame along the braces and some tpu guards. But, I crash the shit out of my stuff....

Hi Andy, thanks for the and the speed runs! They are great to see, though not very important for me when choosing a quad but I do like to see them so please keep them up. On it's 2nd outing my ER349 hit a goal post, cracked the canopy and ripped a couple of wires. Now the FC and ESC don't work :( Do you know if there's a replacement stack, or can you recommend one? I have the Mamba mini F4 v2 stack but the ER149 has the 'limited edition' version of the FC and Blheli32 ESC's. I'd be gutted if I ended up with a 'lesser' quad that cost me more!
Oh man! That’s why I stay away from those soccer nets...that steel is hard and it’s taken out quite a few of my quads. Trees are more forgiving! Hope you find a good replacement stack!

I only use the blackbox for identifying motor problems, Ive yet to find a 20x20 that is capable of more than 60 seconds of data recording. Hi andy, I'm getting awful video on my diatone gt-r630 rabbit. At about 50 meters the video starts flipping and freezing and becomes unflyable, using the stock dipole antenna, but my 3" and even my whoop goes further with clearer video. This was flying on an open field with no trees or obstructions, so I can't come to a conclusion on what it could be.

I had an idea - I wonder if a higher end LIPO brand would be interested in sponsoring you by providing the different lipo battery sizes and charges you use for all the models coming in t test? Having less variability on battery power side would assist with the testing quads particularly comparisons and at same time it would be a good promotional justification for the lipo company to provide them to you free of charge (perhaps you'd include a link to purchase etc). I dont see any influence on your reviews of components and products as its solely a required power source. Cheers!
I want ot upgrade the motors on my Blade 200 QX . Ive moved all to a carbon fiber frame. 200 mm.. Whats motors do you recommend with a 2 s or 3s battery and props.. ?

With the VW group antics of late, I wouldn't be surprised if they had a Dacia in the works. :) I do like the point you make about the lifespan of the small 4S packs, and that's a reason why I stay away from these powerful 3" rigs, I'm concerned they'll shred packs so much faster than my top end 5" rigs (measured 105mph).

I would be thankful for a tune for the Emay Babyhawk r 2 inch with 2.5 inch extended arms. I get massive oscillations and since I checked the hardware and everything seems to be fine I think it's a problem with the PIDs. There is a video on my side.

I just built 2 exact same TM2419 (R249) and yup they needed diff pids and filters glad it's not just me lol.

By the way, the RunCam dongle works on the 369’s Foxeer cam.
that adhesive is usually 3M VHB or a clone of it. a drop of alcohol makes it come off more easily.

I like this but.. I really don't like flying with my batteries hanging off the bottom.. I much prefer them on the top like the GepRC Elegant.

I ripped a ufl connectors off because the antenna got snagged. Antenna placement and the exposure of the VTX is not good.

I don't think you need to do a speed run all the time. Maybe if it's 100mph plus or exceptionally fast for whatever it is.

Quick tip: put the batteries in the batteries into the microwave for a minute before doing speed runs ;)
