I have recently discovered the world of Pagani, San Martin, Steeldive, Escapement Time, etc. I've got the PD1701 and now have it on a NATO strap ( since my TAG Carrera CV2010-3 is already on a bracelet). The PD1701 is accurate and serves well as a daily work watch.
I really do think that the PD1701 is their best watch they make. Fantastic daily watch no doubt. I like to utilize it as a try before you buy type of thing if you do ever plan to get a speedy down the road.
Just bought a v3, arrived yesterday. Its pretty good, easy to size and the bracelet is ok and comfortable. The quality NATO strap included was a bonus.
I only stopped to comment about the wardrobe choice and eerie young-John Cusack-as-aspiring-made-man vibe. I have two of these: PD 1701 & 1701A. This model probably features the best bracelet PD has offered thus far - certainly better than the three other PDs I own.
@@SHAWN220 That was my favourite film when I was a teenager and probably so until The Big Lebowski came out. I have recited various bits of Better Off Dead's dialogue endlessly over the years, not unlike TBL.
Great review, thanks Just one question, I understood that this version (black with white hands and black date wheel) had no A-R coating and, because of that, gave too many reflections when the sun or lights shinned on it. Have they upgraded that part?
I own a Mission to Mercury and a V3 PD. The Moonswatch is an Omega Speedmaster, whereas the Pagani Design is an homage piece, akin to wearing a fake. I'm comfortable taking off my Moonswatch to discuss the hype surrounding these watches. I can explain how Moonswatch has a Chinese clone and provide insights into the Omega brand, Swatch's role in revitalizing the Swiss watch industry, and the marketing strategy of presenting plastic as ceramic.
Not from what I can see no. I think what happened was that it cleared the next minute while I was pressing the button. But I did not see the minute hand move as a result of the chronograph being depressed. Good eye though.
I will never understand why pagani dropped the 2 iconic dots at 12 o'clock ! I doubt I would have bought this version but they had the wrong picture on aliexpress. I stupidly did not notice before I removed all the packaging and sized the bracelet. (other than that though it is a fantastic watch at a very reasonable price)
Probably a silly question but does anyone know how long these watches last for? I'm thinking of this or a citizen Orca with a 5 Yr guarantee. Any advice in helping me decide would be appreciated. Thanks
Who in a sane state of mind would buy a Chinese sub-$100 piece of sh... watch with stainless steel case, sapphire crystal and solid bracelet, when he can get an *original* Swiss made quality watch with a bioceramic case, lightweight polyacrylate crystal and a branded flexible bracelet for only three times the money? Everybody who sees me wearing the Moonswatch will immediately recognize me as a person of wealth and style, wheras they would just see this fake Chinese thing and think it's just a $6000 Speedmaster.
It's a perfectly reasonable device, with a quality Seiko movement. I'm just looking for something that works that has dials, and came across it while searching for G shocks and hating the look of them. I'd certainly rather not spend mega money on an Omega original. The moonswatch is nice, but it's got that swatch plastic anorak aspect to it. Swatch movements are not the strongest, and they're notorious for dying under impact. I can only get so bothered about telling the time, but I like legible numbers. I use anything mil-spec - my usual is a Pobeda.

It does have A-R coating (reflections are colored blue-ish) but its not a very good one.
@@meindertsprang7491 Thanks for your replay.

i have one same as this one, there is no dot at the 12o'clock marker, and the bezel has the same also

I confirm this. The minute hand on my PD1701 jumps to 1/6th of a minute when the bottom pusher is pressed.

What version did you buy?
@@stephanboxall1462 I think it is the V3. Very nice watch but, unfortunately, no dots...
Hi,
Is The bracelet Sharp Edge?

Bracelets look so much better when the have a nice taper to them …. 20 at the head & 16 @ the clasp
This one looks killer rocking an orange band.

Better build and better materials than the Swatch Speedy
If it only was a bit smaller....
Boğazlı kazağın üzerine kolye takan adamın videosu 😅
Bracelet on this is utter garbage. Don’t get steel bracelet. Garbage. Pins bend. Springs snap.
Geez, take care about your nails, if you are using zoom like this!
You look like "wannabe irish gangsta" from 90's".
