Even though I grew up with this music, and recognized the "sunrise, sunset" message of how quickly life moves; now that I'm a dad myself the lyrics carry so much more meaning. Fiddler on the roof was (and still is) truly a masterpiece.
The older we become the more beautiful this song will be.
Just adore this music and filming...😢
Farewell to the great Chaim Topol who starred in the film and also onstage in thousands of performances around the world. Rest in peace - your work will live on.
I love this movie. I have seen it so many times.
Norma Crane was quite an actress, sadly lost to breast cancer at 43. I’ll always remember her remarkable performances in 4 episodes of the old Have Gun - Will Travel TV series.
Chaim Topol has a wonderful baritone voice. Norma Crane sang her part as the mother nicely. The song has a lovely flow and reflects on how short life is.
One of my favorite tunes from one of my favorite movies!!!
Adoro esa película x su filosofía elemental x su música x su historia antisemita..y la manera en q Tiev habla con Dios me encanta.
Fiddler on the Roof is a very memorable movie.
Beautiful Movie and wanderful sound music
I just absolutely love this singing ‼️
Love it totally ...😢
1:37 so much hatred in Lazar's eyes. But it all was the situation from which not everyone could get out happy that was very sad. I cried during this movie. A beautifull one.
Is this the little girl I carried
Is this the little boy at play?
I don't remember growing older
When did they?
When did she get to be a beauty
When did he grow to be so tall?
Wasn't it yesterday when they were small?
Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly flow the days
Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers
Blossoming even as we gaze
Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly fly the years
One season following another
Laiden with happiness and tears
What words of wisdom can I give them
How can I help to ease their way?
Now they must learn from one another
Day by day
They look so natural together
Just like two newlyweds should be
Is there a canopy in store for me?
Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly fly the years
One season following another
Laiden with happiness and tears
Thanks, this was my fathers favorite song. Makes me smile.
