He was ok, if you've seen them live, you'd know he struggled to keep up quite a bit. Couple that with accounts from both within and outside the band, it paints a pretty clear picture that he was let go for behavioural problems moreso than anything to do with his drumming, they actively tried to accommodate that even...problem is that he has massive ego and entitlement issues. Though you probably don't care about the why anyway.
