6:10 I label my used blades as PAPER and I use them in my rotary cutter that I only cut paper with. The blades still cut paper pretty good.

I've used the blade I had on for three month... cutting both paper and fabric. I feel like cutting pattern and tracing paper with the rotary cutter has not caused my blade to dull... Running over a pin or something else hard... that's another story! Thanks for watching :)

@@JSternDesigns That's good to know that you have used your rotary on both paper and fabric and it did not dull the blade. I know one day I will accidentally use my fabric rotary on paper. Now I won't feel so bad lol. Thanks

@@RoseGold... :) … I still keep my sewing shears away from paper… I think that was beat into me along the way!!

Hi ! I use those nylon scrubbies ( that we use in the shower) from Walmart and they pick up lint and stray threads off my cutting mats and clean them so nice- they work wonderful and are cheaper than those Mr. Clean cloths. Try ‘em you’ll like em!

Thank you for reminding me that I need to clean my mat. I have an adjustable seam guide attached to my rotary cutter. I have looked all over and can’t find another one. I’ve often thought if someone with tool knowledge could see it they could duplicate it. It saves me time. I’ve also seen where you can attach round magnet to rotary blade for seam guide.

Howdy-thanks for your suggestion! Would you be kind enough to explain a little more… which section of your Walmart where you find them? Again, thanks for sharing your great tip.

Great info Jen! Thank you! I have been using those big pencil erasers to clean my mats. I think I’ll try the chlorox wipes. The eraser works but is messy 😅
