He was re-tried for war crimes in 2006, ordered to pay compensation for his victim's families, and is still in jail, getting regularly beaten up and apparently having affairs with guards

I actually disagree with you on the loli point as a Russian friend informed me that Nabokov's father wrote pornography. I would argue that Nabokov's upbringing under such a man had more to do with the creation of loli rather than the man's influence being removed. As such, I would argue that Taboritsky was not responsible for the creation of loli. Rather, he tried and regrettably failed to stop it.
