What an intresting concept, let me know your thoughts. Thanks for watching, i will be at tankfest this saturday with this and the screw tank if your going.
Glad to see you back Colin.
Love it Colin, how was meeting up with James?
Brilliant as ever Colin, only one question though…..When’s the next instalment I can’t wait?!!!!!!
Be sure to say hello at the Armortek stall 👍
@@rhysm156Did Colin visit the Hacksmith?
Love that the company that made the dumper was excited about it, and even gave him the engineers drawing for it.
Yeah that was a big deal. They're not gonna do that for just anyone. Gotta be rich and/or famous, or work there. Lol.
It's always cool to see that kind of official excitement for a crazy project like this, but especially when you can tell that their help makes a huge difference in accommodating important steps that would have been a nightmare otherwise.
Good customer service as well. Can you imagine John Deere doing that?
Colin: "Hello, I'm Colin. I have a YT channel with 12.5 million subs and am making a video using your dumper..."
Company: "Yes! YES!! YEEEEESSS!!! OHHHH YEEEESSSS!!!!...."
@@benholroyd5221 They'd sell you the plans then charge you to read them.
The helmet! The helmet! You HAVE to have that 1950’s Helmet! 🎉🎉
I'm sure he's already recreated that. Had to! 😂
@@moos5221 I came here to comment this too!! it is a must
It’s true he’s gonna have to make the helmet
Definitely! But _not_ wearing a helmet is part of Colin's style, so I'm not sure if he will make one.
Thanks so much for using our song @Colinfurze! Long live early aughts northern Michigan ska!
I had a chance to meet Colin today at the Tank Museum and have my picture taken. I can honestly say he was the absolute nicest guy! Got to see both of these vehicles in person they were absolutely 👌
I'd like to imagine Tom didnt know you were permanently disassembling his machine.
He just comes back like 👁👄👁
i know! 1000% spot on.
Tom be like: yea go use it.
Thinking: Ill get a new one if he makes a mess of it.
i like this expression "permanently disassembling" xD
From what I've seen, that dumper is worth over $10K. I'm glad he's got sponsors that allow for that kind of expense.
@@vanoscrap6296 thx lol :)
Your ability to create something out of whatever is around you is truly amazing. I've been following your channel since you first hit one million subscribers.
thats a good 10 years now lol
I was 10 when i started watching, i never realized how long that actually was
you're 110% correct man
@@colinfurze would it be possible to create a pillow launcher?
Same, I remember when the 60mph mobility scooter, the really long motorbike and gadget crutches came out. I was 7 years old 😂
Colin is a legend
Personally id like to see a lot more of the engineering process of your projects, show us how you work things out, your failures & successes and just do it over more videos, more regular. Your older stuff used to show a lot more.
I agree. Big fan of Colin but I've noticed less focus on these aspects lately.
Agree!
Agreeing also
Yes, Colin, if you think its too technical for main audience you can make a 2nd channel called Furze Engineering or something. You'd instantly get a lot of subs. You're filming already anyway. Just put all the technical cuts on that channel. It should more than pay for the editor costs from the get go.
also have to agree... around mid of tunnel the Videos started to show less making and more results.... we want the making...also splitting up into different videos sucks. Love the work.
I love how you made the hydraulic system more organized. Little stuff like itches that scratch.
CAT engineers: "First of all, you're a madman. Second thing, here's the schematics. Rooting for ya."
They did for Hacksmith! Even sent him buckets of official CAT paint!
It’s a thwaithes 1tonne hi tip CAT has nothing to do with them
@@michaelokeeffe490 it's yellow. So it must be a CAT 😁
Louis Rossman is very jealous.
@@Jehty21the yellow paint was first used by Joseph Cyril Bamford so if it's yellow should be JCB
Colin, I'm a creaky old bastard, and I'm sure that I had a battery operated toy Rhino vehicle when I was a kid in the mid 1960's. The images of the real thing really sparked off a memory.
I love your epic builds. This looks incredible.
If you are looking for even more mental ATV's, have a look at something from the Gerry Anderson stable, but not known to many: the S.W.O.R.D. 'Scramble Bug'. That should be right up your street. 👍👍👍
The confidence with which Colin takes things apart is absolutely inspiring. If anything breaks- he'll just build a better replacement, hahaha.
Regarding the steering hydraulics:
If you search for "Hayter R324t Manual", page 77 has the details of the internal hydraulics for the steering valve block (Item #9). Page 75 also has the hydraulic schematic for the four wheel drive system. I think it's very much the same as the system on that dumper.
That explains the 5 pipes Colin mentioned - thanks for the reference!
I love how you ask for parts from a company and they find out what your up to and give you what you need no questions asked
oh don't be fooled, they asked questions
And want to know if they can drive it.
I can always count on Colin for interesting builds. He can get inspiration from almost anything.
As much as I like these wacky builds, I would also like to see updates on the tunnel project, even if it's just a series of Shorts every so often.
Your projects are getting bigger, and more challenging to build. I'm impressed and grateful.
When you check in with Colin and he's literally just dropped some more genius on us! 👑
hea just dropping ads at the moment
you're right. precisely correct dude
Definite kudos to Thwaites for giving you the engineering drawings, Colin. Can't see John Deere ever doing that.
Deere would probably sue him.
They'd be pretty quick to send you a cease and desist ;)
Tís a wonder Deere don't use patented unique security bolts on everything.
@@bryanbuckley4312they probably would if they could find a cost effective way to do so 😂
@@StevenHawkingsSpitrag And by cost effective you mean _cheap_ don't you.
Welcome back Mr. Furze, was worried when there wasn’t a recent video. Love the project, and cannot wait to see what you are planning to mount for a weapon? Perhaps the next mobile fireworks launcher? Potato Howitzer? Excellent video!
im going to say this seeing where this whole thing (the channel and you) started from to now it is truly impressive.
hats off to you Colin!
Nice bit of Colin to keep us going. 👍🏻
The screw tank was an awesome build, looking forward to watching this video. 😊 Your builds are a work of art 😊
I almost always fast forward thru promotional announcements on all videos, but Colin you are so bloody fun to listen too that I actually stay with yours.
I very much love the attention paid to the sound levels! I always enjoy the music, but never enjoyed that it was at least twice as loud as the rest of the videos. Great work!! Thank you!
I used to be a plant operator with a major telecommunications company. One of the small chain trenchers they had was the Case-Davis 14+4 (14hp/4WD) which was 4WD, articulated and hydraulically driven. It's weight was down low and being under one metre wide, it could fit into quite narrow spaces. It had a single lever to control forward and reverse drive and steering. It was surprisingly effective off-road, too. Braking was via the hydraulics when the engine was running, otherwise there was a lever operated parking brake on a disc on the driveshaft.
You should try to make it possible to flip a lever to make the hydraulic motors front and back run synchronous like a locked differential on a 4x4 for that extra offroad ability
I second that motion!!! 👔🤠👍
Thats an extra special valve that make the 2 exit pipes have the same flow rate.
Colin what would be a fun project would be to make yourself an indoor gantry crane or post crane. seeing as you need to lift so many things in that new workshop haha. love the content as usual!!
I cannot underestimate how much I love that you include the building in your videos.
Reminds Me Of Tatra Suspension
Colin was one of the first RUclipsrs I watched ever so long ago!
Another awesome project. Inspirational as always. Looking forward to part2!
I saw the finished product at bovington and loved it Colin alongside the screw tank!
Your new workshop looks great.
You have the skills and the equipment to build anything.
It must be nice.
You are literally living my dream mate 😊
And you’re a fine engineer too 👍🏼
All the best,
Allan
Love the relatable fact that your enthusiasm nearly ploughed it right into a tree with the fork lift after the first iteration of the build 😆🤣 How many of us have done things like that when creating stuff 😄 Brillant stuff and all part the fun 😃
It's always a treat when Colin Furze has a new video! Keep up the great work and don't change the outro!
I must admit colin that's no small feat to tackle such a project, Kudos to you for taking on this challenge. Love it.
As one chap named Colin once said:
"If you want to go fast, you have to add lightness."
It's always a joy to watch your videos. I'm curious for the end result!
Remove body's and raccoons aswell
I am _fiercely_ in awe of all your kit.
Oh and your engineering knowledge too.
we NEED to see part two of this the thing looks so goofy I love it Colin
This thing is sick I’m glad I’ve been watching the whole series and can’t want for it to be finished
This is what engineering and exploration and experimentation are all about. The fact that the company provided the engineering drawings because they just thought it was cool, is amazing. Knowledge should be shared, not behind red tape. Would love to see their reaction in a follow up video when it's finished. I think that would be a unique and interesting avenue into opening up a conversation in the whole "right to repair" movement.
Its really not difficult to copy the design. Just need to stick a piece of paper on the part you want to copy, draw the outline and holes needed and stick that paper on the new part to cut.
So there is no point in denying the drawing of such an easy part.
@@niconico3907 the point is, some companies will.
Engineering drawings contain much more information than just creating a template for where the holes are.
It's a big deal that they did this. Look up right to repair. Especially using farmers in your keyword search.
@@gizmostudioshdI thought it was pretty nice of them to do that, but even if you had the design it would be patented right? So It would be useless to anyone but the company
@@sicklad3277 Owning a patent doesnt mean you can't let others do with it what you want. Also, modifying it makes the patent null and void anyway. Patents are notoriously specific. Engineering drawings for something like this enable someone else, Like Colin, to experiment with an existing design and do things, much, much safer.
@@sicklad3277 They gave the drawings, The patent would likely cover specifics, and not iterations on a design. And it would only cover creating something exactly the same. Here, the use case was different.
Such fun to be had... good to see you have another project!
This is genuinely the only channel ive ever subscribed to, so dont be long in getting that next video out so we can see the new beast in action.
Could call it the Furzemaster 1000.... coming to a construction site near you.
I really hope Colin's crazy inventiveness resonates with his son. It would be a shame for my kids not to have a fun and crazy Furze to watch in the future.
Loved that Gerald reference 😂
Same, glad to see other people watching Clarkson's Farm, sometimes it seems like nobody else is aware of it. Obviously Furze would have taste though.
Lovely work as always Colin! Cant wait to see the final result
Colin makes the coolest stuff, but just as cool he provides the track names of all the music in the videos and theyre often bangers!
Oh boy, originally I was just going to write a thank you note for another video, but then I saw all the work and I don't just mean finding the right model, but all the planning, figuring, drawing, redrawing, modeling, testing, exporting, burning, sanding, more sanding, maybe more sanding, assembling, detail tuning, more tuning, and more that I hadn't figured out and I thought, how can I actually thank you enough for such a perfect video? You are the Man. The man in the right place in the right time.
ngl that's such a sick concept 😮
Thankyou for existing, RUclips. 💋
I was expecting a comment from RUclips to have more than 6 likes 😂
Bro youtube you need to step up your commenting game.
Hi RUclips!
@@vlognblog.it’s probably some young bell end in his bedroom
"What sort of person would drive that?"
Judging by your demonstration, the answer is Lee Evans 😂
Thanks, Colin. Can't wait for the next part! 👍
Great video. Can’t wait to see the next part.
And the Gerald reference was fantastic
Love the energy in your videos. Cant wait to see where this video is going. Creased up with laughter when you crab walked 🤣🤣
We need more tunnel videos😂
Hey colin, you could make a heelys kind of shoe, but with proper working tank treads
Just ziptie belt sanders to your shoes.
To spend a day in this man's head. Been a fan for year sir, it's incredible to see what you've accomplished.
Mazec, miluju lidi který myšlenku převedou do reálného světa a zhmotní se,ses frajer, hodně zdraví tobě i rodině 👍🤘
Joiner by trade, started at 16 spent 4 years in a site carpentry apprenticeship and qualified this year. Now 20 years old and re-training as a specialist welder/ fabricator and you're the inspiration. Started watching when I was a kid and spent hours analysing and lesrning now I'm trying to take the same path, amazing work!
As much as I like these large scale projects, I do also quite enjoy the smaller, more random things. It'd be nice to see some more stuff along the lines of the Christmas tree un-decorator or jet engine grill, if you get my jist.
Maybe one gimmick could do both?
Thanks for making good clean content call and. Even when something goes horribly wrong you don't throw in unnecessary curse words and I appreciate that.
We love watching your innovative and creative videos! We even spotted one of our steering columns - HTS product label still intact😉
Colinfurze, the most genius, creative, unique, cool person, always has new ideas. Success is always for his work
It’s so cool what you can make out of old equipment!!
Watched nearly all of your videos and they never disappoint me always looking out to see when there’s a new video keep it up lad
As always, good music selection, good content, and great machine
I vote for more historical vehicles and concepts like this one making a comeback in modern times. Excellent work as always Colin
thanking you
Always love it when you do hydraulic stuff, your hose management looks so clean and neat
Agree to that! Great eye for detail! colin really does overthink what he does on forehand..
About time! A bloody video Collin - it’s been ages but worth the wait - 😊 love it xx
Saw you on the twitch stream for tank fest. nice job you made of it :D
im really excited to see this completed. the company that builds this may even ask for your plans after this to see if its a viable model xD
Thanks 🙏 for everything you do Furze
Awesome work @ColinFurze!
Using the dumper and modding it the way was done gets me to thinking about a M274 "Mule". Some of i think the early ones were gour wheel steer later only two wheel steer. But what's really neat about them was the steering wheel could pivot down and all the controls could be worked from a kneel in front of it so you could load it with sandbags and use it ss a mobile piece of protection from gun fire.
It's unfortunate that only so many were built and it's going to be pushing 40+ years since the last one was built. Seeing the stripped down chassis just reminded me of one.
Good on Thwaites for embracing the project. I’ve been in plant hire for 20+ years and moved and forgotten more items of plant than most people have seen. Thwaites dumpers are the best there are. Well made things, nice and easy to operate too.
I can imagine the guy answering the phone's excitement when he heard Colin was calling him!
I wish I had one tenth of Colin’s energy
Love it! Watching your end credits though...it's definitely time for some more FIREWORKS!! 🙂
You're the only RUclipsr whose videos I've seen religiously over the last few years. Haven't missed a single one. Looking forward to the next one!
So very glad you're back !!! I was concerned you had an accident or something. I look forward to every presentation. I would've inverted the camber for more stability to help prevent it from tipping. Consider if you will that you were in a narrow trench. Your wheels could conceivably send you in the opposite direction if the upper portion made contact with a rocky surface.
You didn't pay attention to the video, he's going to make big ball wheels for it. The axle is cambered to keep it out of the mud and water presumably.
@@everettstormy You're absolutely right, I got distracted while in the middle of it and didn't rewind it to see what I may have missed. Thanks for the clarification. I found it strange that such an intelligent, forward-thinking engineer would do something like this and thought that there would eventually be a reason. I'm new to his broadcasts and my introduction was the tunnel so I started out wondering why he was making so many mistakes. He may have some settling issues at the house foundation, but I have high hopes that the weather isn't that bad there.
@@MakeitZUPER yeah 😆
I've been watching Colin for about 10 years now, kinda makes me feel old
Colin, you are an absolute genius😮
But what about the afterburner for the jet scooter we‘re all waiting for?😁😂
I'm looking forward to part 2. After that, I'm curious about what would happen if he built a boat.
this channel needs more like buttons... I feel I need to press so many more butons because i like these all so much... one button is not enough!....thanks Colin
I'm so glad to see some form of roll protection was restored, I don't want a squished Colin
Maybe build a deep sea submarine next? I think you would make a better job of it than most.
Too soon my friend
Exactly well timed lol
Colin is one of the smartest guys i have ever seen what comes in to building some wicked stuff just like that. Brilliant!
This thing is awesome im excited to see how well it comes out and preforms
Positive camber looks like something went terribly wrong
For lowrider dudes its normal stuff😂
This is going to be brilliant, but can you pleeeeaaaaaaase also recreate the helmet the tank driver is wearing in the vintage picture?
I could watch your projects for hours! What would it take to do longer videos?
Yes Colin its been to long! Im Allways so keen to see your crazy and wacky designs. Can't wait for the next episode 😍 🙌 love you work! 👌
If only you’re working for OceanGate, their submarine definitely have better chance of survival considering how good your workmanship is. 😂
We wouldn’t be having issues with the titanic sub if Colin built it
Yeah that thing sounds a bit sketchy
Nice wild ATV you got keep up the good work mate.
Can't wait for the next episode. Great that Twaites are onboard as well.

Yes congratulations
Yey
Only immature as fuck for stating shit like that out!
1. Nobody cares, not even your mother! Did she kiss you on the butt after that amazing achievement?
2. Being #1, 10, 100 or 1000 gives you nothing at all.
3. Did you win anything else but a bigger EGO?
4. Not even a seven year old child finds that shit funny
5. Ppl found that shit funny back in 2019^^
Ma bru , I'd love to see Collin with an unlimited budget and an unlimited amount of team members. Can you bloody imagine what he'd cook up ?
This could be a fun series - recreating crazy old inventions. Maybe you could make some kind of overland train for farming.
Respect to you and is amazing what you doing👍
Great video again Colin one thing ive always wondered over the years is what do you do with all these large masterpieces once finished with?
As a German i find your logo really funny, because the "U" in "Furze" looks a little bit like a "Ü" so it says "Fürze" which means "Farts" in German.
Love your videos man!
I've known others to use the plasma torch to "center punch" although at our welding shop the boss never let me because it'd harden the steel as we had the steel in water the whole time.
Colin!

Love it man!
