Hard to understand you Eastern folks, but I got most of it by listening to you twice! Thanks for the information!
I literally just brought this mower home like a hour ago. I'm so freaking excited to start mowing with this beast. It definitely seems like a great mower for the price they are.
Good choice!
How's the ride Steve
I love it. I've mowed my grass now 2 times and i couldn't be more happier that i picked this one to buy.
At first I thought...drunk. Then I realized they're just from the Chicago area.
Guys, the frame and axel is offset so the deck can reach over garden edges/etc. on the left side without the tires running over it. This is why the debris discharge is always on the opposite side that does not hang past the wb.
Great information Evan, thank you
I’m here to debunk this. It drove me nuts on my zero turn. I know that this is a 2 year old comment. But the left side caster is actually out further to allow it to work with the deck and cutting ability better. If you lift up the mower or look under the deck, you will notice that the casters are in-line with the lift/edge of the blade, putting it in a more optimal area for the blades to be lifted back up from the caster had just ran it over.
They use plastic seat bumpers cos they're cheap, rip them off and replace with 3 inch motorcycle seat springs. Much better ride.
Need a video on how to change the hydro fluid
Click bait......"99% DON'T KNOW"?? DONT KNOW WHAT?? Click bait.
Ever heard of promotion and marketing?
100% don’t know why the deck can’t be successfully leveled on 99% of the residential Ultimate ZT1
99% don't know what these dudes are talking about.
How drunk were these guys when they shot this? 5-beer-o'clock?
For some strange reason these two remind me of Lenny and Squiggy from Laverne and Shirley
I love the look of the new ultima cub cadet.
I have the same mower after 3 years bolt snapped off in crankshaft my neighbor also has the same mower his did
the exact same thing big problem with Cub Cadets took it to dealership they wanted $1,300 to rebuild the motor put a new crankshaft in but I took it to a machine shop had it drilled out cost me about 150 bucks I will never buy another Cub Cadet would not recommend anyone to buy one
Man, you guys were on top of this review. Nice job!
I’ve towed over 500 pounds in my dump cart with this mower never a problem bought it brand new 2018
I have looked at several models now. I found this exact model at a local tractor supply with a bad (weld) on an idler pulley on the deck. Took it home and made the repair in about 30 minutes. The manager gave me 1k discount, so I was ecstatic, he definitely helped make my decision! I have several pieces of real-estate, and was paying people to cut a couple of them, however mowing today i cut 2 pieces of property in 2 hrs! This machine is phenomenal! In business time is money! This machine is going to save me a fortune! I'm looking forward to a long service life from this machine, good job cub cadet!
5:00 I'm sorry I had to quit watching here want to take it to a dealer and they're going to charge you for times as much for the parts and then they're going to charge you a lot for the labor I do my own work anyone can do it if you're not I do it that I suggest you pay someone else to cut your grass just saying
I like when the guy says he can't see to mow at night. I'm guessing that since he wears his sunglasses on a cloudy day he probably wears them at night too.
Have had mine for two weeks. Assembly was terrible, throttle comes out and stays in your hand, could not time steering handles, seat missing bolts, battery bolts were not tightened.
Took it back and received a second mower same problems except the choke cable was smashed on The engine securing bracket.. I hope I don't get a third.
Check yours over....
I just bought one and love it but it needs a fuel gauge
awesome mower! butter smooth, quite, no vibration...would buy again and again... mow on brother!
Subliminal attack on VCGConstruction? I hate their clickbait thumbnails but hmmm
My club cadet z71 has no hour meter for 3400 I think it should
Dont listen to anything somebody has to say after hearing "I recommend taking it to the dealer".
If your the kind of guy that only wants to have to turn the key then your opinion on quality, performance, and reliabity is worth a bucket of assholes...
😂
Good video, I just bought this exact mower, thanks
Having any issues?
I'm actually looking at the ZT2 version. Thanks for the look!
I have a Z60 and love it. Just wish the oul filter was easy enuf for me to remove.
I got mine, didn’t quite understand the directions on lowering the deck! Now that I seen the video I can do that. My issue was after 15 minutes I went over a bump. The deck belt came loose and I learned spring is belt tensioner. Now my blades won’t engage. Checked the connection it’s good the blades will move one inch that’s it
Why are you not releasing a video on tje ZT2 series mowers??? If you are Cub Cadet Pros, whybarent you showing ANYTHING about my Ultima ZT254?????
Title 99% don’t know this. *Watches video* no mention. Lol
This is why I don't watch these guys.
Thanks. Saved me the time of watching
@@Hammerback0 it’s a great mower though!
In the pic it looks like they're just releasing the back wheels. Anyone that has been on a zero turn should know about this...
@@menwithven8114 mine are shit. They won’t work correctly. I mow roughly 40 acres a month has 200 hours on it now. Had to tow it once. Lol. They don’t do shit for me!
Just ordered a 50” Ultima today! My old Cub Cadet was good to me for years and years and took some major abuse at times. I definitely got my money’s worth and plan to do it again. Pretty sure this is the last mower I’ll ever NEED to buy!
I'm not into taking it back to the dealer for much of anything. I've had a Cub Cadet RZT 50 for 14 seasons now. I beat the tar out of it, so yeah, I have to work on it and rebuild the weak points, but most people don't work them as hard as I do. I would buy one again, but expect to have to work on it at some point after I've had at it. Like I said, 14 seasons and I think I can get another 14 out of it!
My wife won't let me use it...............
Just bought the 50 inch deck in this model today and it is definitely top notch, went straight home and started mowing, I did have to stop a few times to make comfort adjustments, such and the arms height and deck pedal, which is to be expected for first use so no big deal, and once you get your comfort adjusted to your liking it is spectacular. This is the first time I was actually disappointed to have stop mowing after cutting everything! Lol! Great job Cub Cadet!
I'm liking this mower! I'm tired of of fixing my cub cadet everytime I mow. Put a 60 in plus deck on it and I'm in love
Just bought a 60" at TS Happy so far.
So basically guys, Boom! Guys, Boom, Guys who doesn't like this kind of review. Downvoted.
How do you put on the CUB CADET 703-12302-0637 Powder Black Hitch Plate please ?
Guy sitting on the cub cadet is def under the influence
So what’s the “99% don’t know” thing you have on the thumbnail for this video?
What about the deck vibrations on these mowers lots of people are complaining about? I hope you cover that in the mowing video.
Gino20202 They dont know , they are amongst the 99%
Gino20202 Deck vibrations mostly come from imbalance of the blades , wrongly sharpened and mounted without balancing !!
marsenmoon yea, but not from brand new machines run for the first time. None of that should be an issue or causing the deck to rattle like people are complaining about.
@@Gino20202 Yep it's a definite issue I'm dealing with on my zt1 50. Has been repaired and is greatly improved but still not enough...
I just bought a zt2. I have not experienced any vibrations that seem beyond normal operation. Although my sensitivity to it may be down from my previous mower. That one vibrated so much my Fitbit registered 20,000 steps after an hr of mowing.
You guys are drunk 😵
I wish you didn't cut the vid when you took the wrench off.. I can't get my wrench off.. just don't wanna over-force it and snap the plastic it's in. Is there some trick to it?
What gauge is the Boxed frame ? Aeroforce tech what's that?
I owned a Cub cadet rzt 42" zero turn and I loved it. I wanted to move up to a 60" zero turn. I checked out Cub cadet Ultima 60" and Ariens ikon xl60". The ikon by far had better options for me and a better built deck. Does have Kawasaki engine too also had a more comfortable ride with arm rests on the seat and not to mention it was on sale for $3499 ($1000 off sticker price).
El Mero Mero the zt2 has the same thing. This is the base model. You lost speed and fuel capacity. Options? You can put a snow plow blade on these. Idk how those armrest attached to the handles are superior. That seems terribly inefficient. This is built like a brick house. Ariens, well frame flex is a big deal over time. You got a cheaper mower for sure lol. Get what you pay for.
I take the cub any day of the week over the ariens
Lol the guys seem like they’re tryna push a “fell off a truck” sale 😂😂
I feel like if I did a video with my wife, it would look like this.
Thomas Cynthia Perez Angela Anderson Anthony
Anderson Mark Wilson Scott Walker Angela
I recon these run good, but I've read alot of complaints about the quality of cut due mostly to the method of hanging the deck.
I have the ZT1. I wish I would have gotten the ZT2 because everytime I zero turn it destroys my yard. The tread is a little too beefy. I just mow straight rows all the way to my drive way then turn. Overall I'm very please with Cub Cadets product. I think I'll buy their 18 in. 208cc Rear-Tine Dual-Direction Gas Tiller or 3X 26 in. 357cc Track Drive Three-Stage Electric Start Gas Snow Blower with Steel Chute Power Steering Heated Grips next. Thank you Cub Cadet.
It's a great mower! Very nice clean cut
Do they still have a weak left side motor, all zero turn have a weak left turn
I like the fabricated steel deck and dial height adjustment, but wish they would have kept the Honda GX engine. #TIACREW
EXACTLY. What crap using click bait
I just got mine and now will not turn over and can not find out why
Lol yea tour grand dads cub is the same as these junk cadets
Great overview! I just bought this mower and watched to prepare for my video. You touched on a couple points I didn't know about, thanks so much!
I heard the decks on these Cubs rattle and shake a ton.
Nice mower for residential. They have version with Kawasaki FR engine as well. Btw man, love the ventrac at the back :)
That guy in the red is fucking annoying
How much did you pay Chevy Chase to be in the video?
why such harsh introduction music?
I would recommend you not try to maintain anything
No way I could go to this after owning a Cub M60 Tank. Of course it was $8700 in 2007. Has been a fantastic mower. Replaced 1 tensioner pulley and 1 belt. Currently has a brake cable broke. Everything else is original. Kept the oil changed and the 17 zerks greased. Going on 700 hrs and hopefully lasts a few more years.
No one cares
Thank you for letting us know. You have very good information regarding the equipment and don’t even worry about other comments that are Sarcasm.
No fenders??? How is it on tall wet grass does it shoot up your back or on the engine
You can buy the fenders separate for this tractor or make your own for cheaper by attaching two pieces of aluminum to the frame.
I wish I could use a zero turn mower, prob is I use my Cub Cadet XT3 garden tractor all year round. I mow 3 acres in the summer and blow snow in my driveway in the winter so it gets lots of use. I do like my XT3 though. Another tip, don't purchase one through a big box store. Purchase your mower through a dealer that has a in house service dept. IT will save you a bunch if it needs repairs under warranty. Cheers.
Looks cool. Performs poorly
Axle is offset to it doesn’t line up with the spindles....
I bought one and it's the biggest POS mower I have ever had. Good thing I have a huskavarna mower it never let's me down. Now I have the prettiest yellow and black piece of yard art in the neighborhood lol. Hope you have better luck with yours
Details? Pos must have alot of things wrong with it to earn that title, considering this is so much more user friendly than every other brand in $ range.
@@dh4094 I'd like to see his reciept. He's bogus. It's got a 3 year warranty that could not have expired by now. Translation: I call BS on this guys comment.
@@mrmichaeltscott crazy cause I bought a zt2 50", and I've been doing 6 hours a day dethatching aerating and mowing. Haven't missed a beat.... although it was delivered low on hydro fluid, which is really unacceptable.
adjustable handles are amazing to me since im a big guy and hard to fit in a traditional ride on mowers
SAME. i bought mine today and thought i better suck it in if im gonna be riding this
I got one last year at the end of summer it already is blowing black smoke and the gears for reverse don't work properly! $3,300.00 really disappointed
I like the steering wheel model better i can drink my beer when I'm mowing
takes some practice but I can drive my zero turn with 1 hand. Tight turns are tough but everything else not hard
I put spot lights on the side and 18 led bar. On front.. its factory LEDs are trash.
The mulching kit comes with a piece of plastic to cover the discharge chute. Steel fabricated deck and damn piece of plastic to go along with it.
i recently bought a zt1 and the low oil pressure light came on at 4 hrs. they replaced the sensor and wiring harness. low oil pressure light is still on. they told me to keep driving it and it will re set its self in 4 hrs.. mower has 10hrs now and light is still on. any thouoght on how to fix that?
it actually looks and sounds like junk from what your saying. lmao you thank plastic bumpers under the seat vs steel springs is an improvement. Also everytime you hit the frame with your key it sounds like you hit a beer can. cant imagine that steel will last. You should have got a Badboy.
Yep give me an additional $3000 and I'll get a Bad Boy 54.
@@ThePlayerToBeNamedLater you can pick one up for around $5000 at any dealer that is the same equivalent as that cub cadet.they are the mz version (home owner) and are still built way heavier than the cub.
@@nonya2116 I just got mine today. The engine is pretty quiet, but the blades are pretty loud. The deck shakes when you turn on the toggle electronic PTO switch, but mine runs smooth after that. I have been in manufacturing all my adult life with almost as much formal education as job experience, (including a quality control engineering degree among 3). This frame is built well. 2" tubing, excellent welds, (the only undercut I saw was on the front little deck wheel brackets), one rigid frame. The front wheels, well what is to say about 11" castors. The rear drive system? I don't know about that. What makes others better? It weighs 570 lbs, and yes, it is lighter than the others I have compared it to, but why would you want another 200 lbs? I bought it for the Kawasaki engine, and because it looks like a sprint car. :) The rest of the parts will hold up just fine, even for more than one acre. PS, Who ever said this machine is only good on flat ground, less than one acre, and not very many obstacles, (it is a zero turn machine, for goodness sake), is full of crap.
non ya , you buy this cc for $3000 so your not even close on your $5000 price
Love the video but I’ll take my Scag Liberty Z any day for residential use.
I have one love it
Could someone PLEASE tell me what the black circle pop out thing next to three throttle lever is for? I broke mine and I assume it's to install a switch
Wing nut twins
I have a 2020 ZT1 54" w the Fab deck. Awesome machine! Slays my 2 acres in 90 minutes. Anyone know what year they started adding the front caster suspension?
Just bought my 2020 ZT2 60”
Lolol...love the title in thumnail 👍👍😉
I love mine but there is only one thing I dislike. The grass chute doesn't go down enough and it throws everything every where even on the rider. How can this be fixed
Ok so who owns a mower and doesn't know about the transmission disengagement lever, that allows you to push your mower around. That's what the hand in the clickbait image is pulling. Oh and incase you really dont know a zero turn has two.
Please have more class than to put the "99% dont know" click bait on the thumbnail.
I have the 60” series cub and it cuts like a right handed person with left hand scissors. I’m not impressed with mine
My sisters boyfriend just bought this brand new and his headlights dont come on. Help
I have one much to like about it, but honestly the deck does not cut even at all, so much of the time saved is used going over all the spots it misses. Also picks up sticks that throw the drive belt off. I have a tree filled valley so that may not be a problem. Handles nice, looks great, comfortable seat, deck sucks....
Mine has 6 hours and won't throttle when deck is on. Won't mow worth a shit. I'll never buy another cub.
I’m thinking these guys probably work for NASA huh?
where are the zerk fittings so you can grease the spindles.
Was more like an informational !! Were tou paid for doing this ?
Slaying with the vans
His cohost laughed at his over the top review. Sounds like a paid sponsor lol
Where do you find replacement blades none inmy county haven't found a y online WtH
If you go through mud it will spray you and the control box.
I have 50" 23 hp. It's excellent mower only thing I don't like it is front wheel I can't grease???
I was told not to use deck wash because it can mess with greased components.
Ya I was told by my cub cadet dealer to use it once a month and again before you store it for the winter
The deck spindles have sealed bearings so water doesn't affect it either way
It’s all about the hydros and engine. That’s the important part.
We have pulled grain augers with our cub cadet zero turn
My ZT2 50 in gets dropped of tomrrow!
How wide is your 50 with the discharge chute in the up position? If you don't mind me asking.
I didn't know Kevin Nealon was doing mower reviews now.
