The one i just got keeps the car light on and the battery icon blinking and switches number from 138 to another number, but i don’t see it charge, is there something wrong with it.

Yes it's very good device but when you try to make a start up to your car directly you must be sure that your battery is good not damaged
Not in repair mode, in that mode it sends higher voltages than what the electronics in your car can handle and will damage them.
Your screenshot at the 4:30 mark of your video is incorrect. The second option is not for batteries "outside of the car" it's for AGM (which is Absorbed Glass Mat batteries) or calcium batteries. Whether your battery is in or outside of your vehicle you should be using the first option which is the car/truck mode. If you need a slow charge you can use the 4th option which is repair mode and this charges your battery over an 18 hour period.
What happens IF you charge with The second mode option?

when i have battery outside of the car and want to charge it fast, on what mode do i put it in? i am using the battery with an inverter to charge my pc when there is now electricity

Any way , when your battery is outside your car , you just press the option : AGM/GEL
And if your bettery connected in your car you take the option : vehicle mode
All options it will be fast charging if your bettery is okay

So I connected this to my battery and it started to blow smoke! It must be damaged right ? It happened almost immediately.

I used it one year ago and now I tried to load the 12V battery again and the charger beeps and shows nothing on the display - and it dont matters if you plug the
battery or the AC power first! I think it is already broken...

@@bargainbin22 How does Pulse repair work? Is that the same as a trickle charge to maintain it when not used?
@@matrox No it pulls the battery down on each cell and does a balance charge on each cell it take some time to work but it can repair a weak battery but not a dead cell. I have had it to run on some old batteries as long as a week.

@@testtech8474 The stupid directions are shit right? omg. They tell you nothing. And I put it on the car and it does nothing. So, what they don't say in the directions, is you have to let it charge. I can't find one youtuber who says this. I thought it would start right up.

Yes
It can be seen that you don't read the instructions, but the general rule of electronics says that I first connect the appliance, first the + pole and then the - pole, and only then plug the source into the socket. When you connect live terminals, you never know what the charger can do. In this way, you actually short-circuit the source under voltage and the output stage takes a serious hit. And you'll make a video about it! I'm pretty careful, I've been doing electronics for almost 50 years.
