Thanks for sharing. Love the old reader digest covers! I didnt know there were pretty design like those. I need to keep a look out for those covers, look so pretty! Looking forward to this journal series!
I love how you set them up. It's a great idea for something different. I don't think I have ever seen that many Readers Digest covers hehe What a nice stash! Tyfs!
Loving your technique ❤️ That’s a really cool way to construct the lapbook with 3 different size spines ! Plus I’ve not tried craft paper either. Looking forward to following along, I love lapbooks 🤗
I love how those are coming together, and I can’t wait to see what else you to to them. Also I got some of those small ultra fine tip bottles from hobby lobby.
Very interested in how you are going to do the journal part. I have done a couple of what I call double readers digest journals. My collection of readers digest is over 60 books. Thanks for sharing.
If you had an Amazon Aff link I would use it lol..I LOve everything you use and am always trying to find all of your thangs :) I can't wait to follow this and make one..Great vid!! Merry Christmas!!
I have some readers digest condensed books.inside where you find the date it also says first edition. Did you notice if your books said the same thing?
Does it freeze? Good time to order chocolates though. I know that doesn’t help but as the Dodo I am I have ordered chocolate in warmer months. A clump of it as it turned out. Hehe. Wait-if it doesn’t snow/freeze where you live I’d be p’od.
Hmm... thats interesting, because I just ordered some from Amazon, it's been shipped and should be here tomorrow. Maybe some websites won't take the liability?
Me again, the constant commenter. Thank you for doing something different than a Christmas journal/tags/bellybutton bands/green/red. I have nothing against Christmas but in my previous life/career it became just another day, sooo I’m looking forward to this. And the desire to chew ice or even non food items is called pica and can happen during pregnancy. If memory serves, it may be a sign of iron deficiency? Sounds like you’re adjusting to your teeth and that’s great news!
Yeah, you're right, it's called pica. I also craved the smell of dust and I would nibble on tiny bits of white chalk. Lol doctors always said it wasn't harmful, and my iron levels were always good. Just a weird craving and always my first sign of pregnancy. Yeah, im sorta over Christmas myself. Not that I hate it or anything, but after raising 5 kids with not alot of money it became more of a burden than a holiday.
@@twosilveroranges Wow-five. I had to let that sit for a minute. Makes sense. Probably why you’re so creative. Necessity turned into something you get to share now. It’s just me, my brother and our 90 yo mom. All she wants are a bunch of scratch offs and to be able to go to the bathroom! Lol! Oh I wish I was kidding but I have to laugh. Dust isn’t as bad as mattress stuffing that a lady on My Strange Addiction was eating like popcorn. Can you imagine if she was a guest that slept at your place only to realize that the mattress was never the same?
So, maybe I’m thick, but why take two books apart only to put them back together again? Why not just connect them with a third spine? Haven’t you ever seen old, dried, crispy masking tape? It doesn’t age well… I’ve seen a few crafters use it in the construction of their paper projects, makes no sense 🤷🏻♀️
Because the spines on the old readers digests get brittle and snap off but the covers are still cool. And yes, I've seen lots of old masking tape lol. I wouldn't rely on it to hold everything together.
Perfect timing seeing this right now. Started myReader's Digest lapbook today.
I absolutely love those older Readers Digest cover designs. I am always watching for the older ones in the thrift stores.

You have such wonderful ideas and your step by step instructions are always so thorough. Thank you!
Oh my, I thought I had a lot of Readers Digest. I bought about 50 at an estate sale. Thank you for sharing!
I love RD covers! Can't wait to see how this comes out 😍
I LOVE Tyvek, no way for it to come apart, I buy the rolls that are tape! But each to his own of course
I love how you set them up. It's a great idea for something different. I don't think I have ever seen that many Readers Digest covers hehe What a nice stash! Tyfs!
I’m excited about this, I think reader’s digest are a great size for a lap book, I have several and can’t wait to see your ideas.

Very nice construction for this lap book!❤️✨💯🥰
Hey Jessica! Thanks for showing us this folio! This is awesome! TFS Hugs!
Spines make great bookmarks too!
Yeah I've seen that lots of times, but I never make bookmarks for some reason. Lol maybe I'll do some for these.
Wow I actually remember reading some of my grandma’s as kid when I ran out of anything to read
I love how those are coming together, and I can’t wait to see what else you to to them. Also I got some of those small ultra fine tip bottles from hobby lobby.
Nice idea and great video!!!

I think I'm gonna wind up making the journal parts in elastic so they'll be removable and replaceable, also movable.
@@twosilveroranges that’s what I did. I still did the three hole pamphlets stitch then slid them in the elastic.

A pocket on the outside spine with a RD spine in the pocket for a bookmark.
Now on to the next video I’m behind lol
Where did you get all those pretty covers? the overwhelming majority of the ones I have found are the brown or blue or red or green leather style.
Hi Jess! loving your videos… I’ve been watching while I craft! These ones look so fun 🤩 Merry Christmas Girl 🧡☺️🧡 🌲 ❄️ ⛄️
These are awesome, I would be interested in a kit if you are making them😍
I have some readers digest condensed books.inside where you find the date it also says first edition. Did you notice if your books said the same thing?
No. I havent looked to be honest. I think they're all first editions since they were only published once.
They say if you crave ice you are low on iron
Who knew I love crushed ice
I saw someone make dangle from spines or tag/bookmark
For some reason Art Glitter glue isn’t being shipped during the winter months, but I don’t know why. Love your creativity!

I searched on Amazon under…..fine tip miniature plastic bottles. Several results….maybe similar to what Jessica has.
