    Thank you for this video. My RD books only had glued in pages so I needed guidance regarding gutting the book enough to make a journal.

    This seems like such a strange way to make a journal..... so much extra work.

    Thank you for your video! Question - So you don’t have to worry about the original sewn signatures falling apart, because you are leaving a few millimeters of the removed pages? My concern was that if I removed too many pages it might hurt the overall integrity of the book. The one I have is much older. From the 50s. Thank you.

      I have a number of these I have made and they have no problems with falling apart.

      They are inexpensive and generally readily available, plus they have a sturdy and attractive spine.
