I love this....I close my eyes and I feel like I'm back at the table with my family dressmaking laughing being family...We are Romanian. I have lost them all but I HAVE wonderful memories...My Grandma was the artist, creator..You are adorable!!! great outlook...:)
I just love laughing with you! You are so conscientious about making sure your viewers do not have an obstructed view when you’re crafting. Everything always looks just fine! Trust me! Sending you much joy from the USA!!!
How wonderful of you to work so hard to be able to do your videos in English when it is not your first language. I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate it. When I lived in Hawaii for five years I taught second graders a special reading class for those children who English was their second language. So I do understand the struggle. It's not just the word but the context in which the word is used that is sometimes a stumbling block with the English language. Bless your heart for what you're doing. Plus you make awesome things and I love coming to your Channel
I thought the same thing!!! Your voice and pronunciations are lovely! I try other languages and I know how hard it is. Thank you for all of your effort. It makes your videos so enjoyable.
Hello Eva, many regards from Germany. It is such a pleasure to follow your videos. You are a creative wonder, but most of all I like that you obviously enjoy so very much doing all these little jewels. Looking forward to see a lot next year, and to hear your laughter. Thank you!
So so beautiful Eva, I could watch you all day. I think the words you were searching for are "contrast" for the papers, and "thirds" for the sections, so we say "one third, or two thirds", but anyway you always find a way to make the words work for you, you are amazing, thankyou for another inspiring video :)
You are so cute to listen to! Your English is great! And what you've come up with like your cement stamps and your wall paper coffee dyed paper is over the top ! God bless!
You don't have to say sorry so much. We all love your work. Your are my #1 favorite junk book creator. You make the most Awsome and the most beautiful junk journals!!!!!!!!
Hello my darling Eva! I just received this book from you on ebay! I meant to record it, but the day after receiving it, I fell and broke my shoulder... It's absolutely perfect, and so much more exciting because I know and watched how you made it!
I never heard of lapbooks before, but I already love them. I always love your flips, flaps and flops 😉 and I always understand your explanations very easy. Thank you for this great inspiration, I am looking forward to the next part. I hope you feel better soon, Nicole
Eva, you are not only talented, but charming! I LOVE these lapbooks. I have not been able to work so the fact you use ANY materials available, not just fancy papers, etc., means a great deal to me. You have the cutest giggle too! Following you now~
Hello again dear Pamela, thank you so much for subscribing.I am really happy you enjoy my videos.I do not have so much money to spend for craft so always trying to find some cheep way :D I think that book pages are the most wonderful material.Making now some table organizer and it looks fantastic :D
I have been crafting and journaling for a long time and this is the first time I have ever heard of the lapbook, I can't believe it! Thank you for your videos, it is so nice to see how much you enjoy what you do and I am renewed and excited to try making some of these for myself.
I always love your videos! Your beautiful laugh is absolutely contagious:D I find SO MUCH of my crafting supplies in bins! From vintage and antique books, to fabrics, ribbon, paints... literally anything you can think of. So much waste is heartbreaking, my thought is that if I save something from the landfill, I can give it new life and make something beautiful:) You are a joy to watch, and your videos are inspiring :) Thanks so much for sharing!
eva, i had a good giggle watching you, and hearing you say 'As you can see - you can see!' etc... then hearing you giggle about it all. "It's coz I am sick... I think I will not need just pills for my illness but glasses... googles? Oh I confuse myself!' made me laugh very loudly in the middle of the night. The man in the flat upstairs started stomping about, which made me slightly hysterical. Get well soon from your chesty cough... I liked the way you taught, natural and funny, so I subscribed and will be watching with interest... :)
Thank you and you are brave to be using English to explain things to us. Many people would not take the risk. We can understand everything you have shown us.
I’ve had this idea in the back of my mind for quite a while! When I taught school we used these and File Folders with the same sort of set up. I think we called them Foldables. I’m so glad you did this tutorial! Your ideas are brilliant!! I always love your ideas and tutorials in your videos! Thank you so much for sharing!!💙💙
Absolutely lovely! I will definitely be trying one of these. I’ve been sick for over a month.... pneumonia.... and I’m eager to begin crafting again. Thank you for sharing your talent.
Hi Eva, I love all your lapbook journals, they're amazing and beautiful. Your creativeness and how you use old throw away stuff never seizes to amaze me. Thank you so much for this tutorial. I hope you feel better soon. xoxTania
This craft is fantastic! I always thought scrapbooking was silly, these lapbooks are fabulous though. Its a great way to combine many of the arts and crafts I already do. Im looking forward to watching more of your videos and doing research on this wonderful craft. Thank you.
Love your books and your creativity. I really liked your book the first time I saw it and was happy when I saw you did your tutorial. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to parts 2 & 3. Until later, Judy
I haven’t finished watching yet, but I love the look of these. I have taught children (and parents how to teach their children) to make lapbooks for their school studies and other things for decades.
I love your creativity - and you always find new ways to add pockets. I thoroughly enjoy your videos and you make me smile every time I watch! Wishing you all the best for the new year!
Your hair is gorgeous. The name for the hidden pocket is probably called a 'slit' pocket. Also the way you would say the 3 parts of duct tape would be: 1/3 + 2/3 = 3/3 (or 1 whole) So 1/3 for right side cover 1/3 for left side cover and 1/3 for the spine. btw, your grasp of English is far better than our grasp of your language. 😊 ❤🎉
Greetings from Glacier National Park Montana USA...I love your giggle, your honesty, and your passion...I pray u and the family feel better...we r currently at negative 20 outside...but would not be anywhere else...I enjoy every video...keep them coming love...God bless u
Amazing talent! I hope you will feel better soon. Elderberry syrup is what we use during cold and flu season. Also, ginger honey lemon tea is good for my bronchial conditions and of coarse, GARLIC. Garlic on your toast and in your soup and broth.
If you can get some ginger root and cinnamon sticks boil in water to make a tea. Add honey for taste drink as tea. Ginger root helps with upper respiratory cinnamon kills bacteria. Honey soothes the throat. ☕️❤️🙏🏻💯😂. Young prayers that you will be healthy again soon God Bless. IM GLAD THIS IS AN OLD VIDEO AND YOU ARE HEALTHY. GOD BLESS!
i am so happy to have come across your channel, and being a new subscriber. what an awesome project, and you are a joy to listen too, I will definitely be following and trying this, love that you give so many details on how to create this. thank you so much for sharing,
Hi Eva, I just came across this video of yours about the "Lapbook" that you had just discovered in 2017, but Kathy Orta, now Kathy Orta King, she started doing lapbook RUclips tutorials in 2012 that I can recall, so then lot's of RUclipsr's started making the lapbooks by Kathy Orta, which were so awesomely done as yours are, but she is known as the lapbook queen because of how amazingly creative she was & is. I think that's where the schools got the idea of using the lapbooks from because there were & still are lot's of teacher's on RUclips. Take care, Lily Eva, You said further in your video that you didn't copy anything from Kathy Orta because she charged for her lapbook tutorials, which I knew that I watched a lot of her tutorials & she never charged, so I paused your video that I was watching on my laptop & checked out several of Kathy Orta's RUclips Lapbook tutorials & she is still not charging for them, not then or now, so that's pretty messed up that you would down a well known fellow crafter like that just to try to make yourself look better...That is so very wrong!
Oh I never wanted to messed up with Kathy!!!! I love her channel so much! I didn't mean that she charge for lapbooks. I said that I never purchased any tutorials, everything I know it's from youtube. That what I meant. If my chating gave a different meaning I am really sorry for that. It is because English is not my native language and I have to not only translate words, but also put them in different word order then is in my native language and believe me,that can mess up all sentence. So sorry if you took bad meaning about me from that.
I just finished to watch this video. I was so depressed, that I may messed up with a name of an amazing crafter I truly love. I can't see anything wrong of what I said in this video at all. I just said I do something a bit different way, that's all. I said that she is amazing, that's how I am thinking about Kathy. For me she is brilliant engineer with a paper. I mentioned her few times in this video, to make sure that people will know I was inspired by her. I believe you love her channel as much as I do and I am really happy Kathy has people like us. I saw many videos where I notice it was inspired by her, but no one said that.
Bohemian Crafting I know that English is not your native language, I’ve watched lots of your videos, but I also know that when you first mentioned Kathy Orta in this video, you made it a point to say that you didn’t learn anything about the lap-book from Kathy Orta because she charged for her tutorials, you couldn’t pay, so you figured it out & taught yourself, which I knew wasn’t true because I had watched many of Kathy Orta’s videos, especially the lap books, but I paused your video & went & started to watch a few of Kathy Orta’s videos to double check what I already knew, that she didn’t charge, then further into your video, you start mentioning Kathy Orta in a more positive way, which I gather is because you knew what you said earlier in the video about Kathy Orta that you had already recorded so much of, you didn’t know how to edit back when this video was made to take that part out, so you had to make up for the wrong you had already done to Kathy Orta & that’s when you mentioned her name a few times in a more positive manner, so it was quite obvious to me as to what you had done & were doing. Giving credit to a fellow crafter for something you’ve learned from them, even if you can’t remember that particular crafters name or RUclips name is a huge step for lots of people, but it makes them so much better because they give credit where credit is due & in turn gets them more noticed, not by throwing digs, saying that you didn’t learn anything from that particular person. Take care, 🎀 Lily 🎀
I didn't mean or was thinking in any way you describing here at all. There is nothing more easy than to stop the video, delete it and start all over again or edit a video, which I did many times before and after as well, but because I didn't do anything wrong I didn't have to do that. I'm sorry if my chatting in this video gives different meaning than I actually meant. But thanks so much for this chat. I will be much careful of what and how I do explain what I want to explain. Have a great day. Eva
Thank you so much for sharing this technique! Your journals are gorgeous and I enjoy this insight into creating them. I didn’t know it was called lap book. I will have to google as you say to see kids doing them.
I dont know if you know this or not, but if you use a small round paper punch and punch a hole in each end of the pocket slit, it helps to keep it from taring at the ends. I use a 1/8 inch punch.
How creative! I love the music theme. Thanks for sharing, you've inspired me. It's great to recycle the materials. I also love your English, it's charming. London

I dont know if you know this or not, but if you use a small round paper punch and punch a hole in each end of the pocket slit, it helps to keep it from taring at the ends. I use a 1/8 inch punch.
I think I am in love! Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! I can't wait to try this!
