Radar Plotting (Example 1) - Deriving Aspect, Target Course & Speed, CPA, TCPA, and Range.

  • In this video, I demonstrate how to plot radar target to derive necessary information (see title) to avoid collision at sea.
    This is Example 1.

    Great job sir, please for the aspect what happens if my line A-C is 341 and target vessel course is 33. How do I get my aspect

    When you found that target vessel has 117 deg TRUE, does that mean than HDG also same and we just make it interchangeable? I mean what if you have sstrong current and Target Vessel's TRUE Course is 117 deg but the heading is dramatically different(let's say 45deg). Do we basically need HDG in radar plotting? I mean the aspect will be very different from what we draw
