    Don't forget every pound you put into your truck changes the dynamics so plan out what your will carry on your overland trip and how you will pack it... and we recommend you don't use your roof rack.

    As a newbie, just the information that I was seeking. Thank you. Especially liked the impromptu plywood shelf resting on the two large containers and the advice to secure the load with straps.

      Tom Evans Pelican's (or stormcase) would be great... but since this gear is inside $30 is so much better than $150 (or 80 used)... :-) We do pack our cameras in Pelican's but that is a little outside what most people need to carry :-)
