We has good actors back then, but Polish movies never make thru to the world cinema. This main Character was played by Cezary Pazura in show was called Cezary Cezary. If You don't seen before modern Polish productions then I recoment "Legendy Polskie Allegro", it's short episode series about Polish legend's and fairy tale's having action's in modern times and it has english subtitles.
