Many of you know I started cutting my own hair this past year to save a little bit of money and today I'm sharing with you my easy steps to cut your own layers and also how to give yourself a face frame. As I mentioned in the video, I am not a professional hairdresser this is what has worked for me and if If anyone else is interested in also saving by doing it yourself then I hope these tips help you.

I’ve been cutting my own hair for 3 years now and was searching for a new technique, this was by far the best !
This was great! I have 3 (long haired) daughters, and when I include myself its a lot of time and money at a salon. Cheap haircuts are often a waste of money as well. I have always wanted to try at home layers, but I never found a video that wasn't scary. Thank you for this!!
I haven't even watched yet and I am soooo here for this. I fully believe every woman should know how to do her own hair. Whether it be cut, dye, style..whatever. It's just great in case you can't afford a stylist, or maybe can't get an appointment in time for an event. So yea, I'm super excited that you did this!! Ok now lemme actually watch, lol

This was the most quick simple and to the point I've ever found here for cutting hair everyone else ha so many steps and it was very difficult to follow but I love your viedo and how you explained every step I did it and my hair looks amazing!! My hair is as long as yours and I don't really trust anyone with it but. Now I'm gonna do it myself ❤️❤️😊😊

OMG YES ! Easiest video by far to cut your own hair. I have long hair as well and im scared to go to a salon
because a lot of stylist get scissor happy & cut off way more than you want. I followed your instructions
& it was super easy & my hair came out perfect thankyou
I love your method and I’m going to use it today. The only adjustment I would recommend is to cut the bottom section blunt because it looks thin at the ends if the bottom is feathered like that

@misslizheart I have been cutting my hair since I was 14. I found that when I go to the salon, no more where, they never cut my hair the way I wanted. They always cut more than I asked. So I learned to cut my own hair. You do a great job with all the hair you have.
Just finished doing this method and it looks good!! Next time I think I’ll do one more part and give myself another layer. 😍 I liked that I did it with straight, dry hair too instead of wet.

Your hair is gorgeous, I have been doing my hair for years my nails my everything but I must say is not to save money is that they don't understand my hair is always the opposite that I got from so call the professionals 🤔 so I did my homework purchase my tools it takes practice, but I was doing it on myself I've gotten better and each time I cut I love 😍 it.
Mama you made that look super easy but your hair looks super healthy and much easier to control for a free style cut like that.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I tried this method and loved how it turned out! I did longer layers by placing the ponytail lower (to the back of my head, I was afraid of cutting too much).
I normally wash my hair flip my head forward come the hair thru ...n cut straight been doing it for years n it works wonders ...good as the salon

OMG, I needed this video!! My hair is almost your length (a bit shorter as it only hits my waist) but definitely not as full and voluptuous as yours 😩 but I sit with scissors and simply cut every split end I see. LOL!! My BF cringes when he watches me but I don't want to bluntly cut my ends straight across so I just pick at single strands. I think I will try your method especially since it manages the process of cutting super long hair and I am not at all talented when it comes to doing my own hair. Lol!! THANK YOU!!

As a former cosmetology student the irony is this is pretty much how you do long layers minus the pony tails. If you were to bring all of your hair to the tip top of your head and cut it all even when you release it you'll have long layers!
MsBubblegumkitty all the hair to the top or by sections? I have long hair just like her and it's kinda hard 😕😣
I think if you do all the hair to the top you will end up with a V haircut. I sectioned it into 2 parts so It could be one length at the bottom. I might be wrong, If anyone know for sure please chime in and let us all know :D
MissLizHeart I've seen another youtuber do it how the person posted described and hers came out to an uneven v cut that was so obvious. yours looks great imo 😀
I'm sorry I wasn't clear enough lol yes by sections like Liz did! The pony tails will help if your hair is super long so it doesn't shift in your fingers as you bring it up! I was just saying when someone else does it in a salon they bring it all to the top without the pony tails. You'll have to forgive me I'm a bit sleep deprived 😂😂😂
