Glad to see your working with Greg over at EuroCompulsion! Have you been able to access the TCM via your ECU? The 10R80 transmission is highly tuneable!
Love this. I did 11.91 in a canned tune 2012 fully loaded 6 speed manual Coyote at 115. My 2014 loaded auto car has done 11.3 at 121 on 100 of blow and 11.5 on it's current 8 pounds of SC boost...1/4 mile obviously. Mustangs can always give you bang for buck, way back since I raced Foxbodies.
My nephew just purchased one of those Ecoboost Mustangs, same color as David's, and he loves it. I'm not a 4 cylinder guy, but that is a damned nice looking ride nonetheless. It'll be interesting to see what you guys can accomplish with that 4 cylinder, but the way tech is today, I'd bet it's going to go pretty fast before it's all over with. Nice to see David still out pounding the drag strip! We only live once, better get 'er done while we can! 👍💪
Great content! Not only fun to watch but also many of mustang owners will find this very useful. Just because I like V8’s, I’d go with it but 4 cylinder turbo can be a blast to!
You know Tim, the Ecoboost wasn't really my thing but I'm sure having fun messing with it.. I mean 90mph to the 1/8 is crazy.. for just simple bolt on parts.. Thanks for watching Andy
Well done, gentlemen! I have been concerned about you guys, because of the hurricain and Davids health. It's awesome to see what you guys have done with that 4 banger! God bless!

Great to see you two guys enjoying yourselves at the strip. The Ecoboost is a great car - the "smarter" option. While the Coyote is the one for muscle car enthusiasts.
@UnityMotorSportsGarage That's is awesome!!! I'm glad it wasn't worse. I've been worried about creators from up that way. Surprisingly there are quite a few.
Wow, that's flying! And you guys make it seem effortless. Any thoughts on a spacer for the plenum or other heat avoidance ideas, thinner oil? I'm thinking back to my pure stock 5.0 Mustang days. Thanks for another great video!
Nice runs, Andy and David. Not just Ecoboost. Egoboost! Still wouldn't satisfy everyone though. Eight cylinders and Coyote required for them. Will stay tuned for updates.
You are right Bill, for me it's the sound.. doesn't have that V8 growl! The Coyote guys were shocked last night though.. but then again I was too 😆 Andy
I have to agree.for a daily driver that makes it a lot more fun and gives some Camaros a lot to think about. I do have to ask? The 318? What is up with it?
Ecoboost mustangs make a lot of low end torque due to the turbo being so small, you are going to need drag radials to take advantage of that, it will put you down into the 1.6 in the FT, combined with a E30 tune from a good tuner that actually knows how to tune those will allow you to make all the power tje stock turbo can produce.
Keep what you have . The procedures are very interesting ,,, ! ,,, at some point in the acceleration game you are going to have get out ahead of the oil pan and pickup ,,, !
You talk about running a slightly modified ecoboost on the street. I don't have a problem with that but I would like to note three things. Factory warranty is gone, will it pass emissions still and first question I received from my insurance agent was it modified. Thanks for another great video. I really enjoy them all.
With their current setup, none of the emissions equipment has changed; there may be an argument that the Cobb tune technically isn't compliant, but it's easy enough to flash back to stock. Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing what the IC and intake changes do without the tune; it'll slow back down some, but it'd likely be a great DD power level.

What are the stock gears . I would think the gear set is the big deal . If it had hwy / mpg gearing hooked up to 10spd trans putting 3:73s would be a big thing and overpower tires as mentioned . Of course a better intercooler is always good and with modern turbos where lag isn't as bad and bigger intercooler doesn't increase lag jt all makes sense . Almost all front engine RWD cars biggest problem is traction and not power for something like 1/8 drag racing . But frankly it looks kinda boring . You time the light and use throttle a bit while a 10 spd does all the fun stuff . Much less to master then old days with a manual and trying to dial in the holeshot and hit the shifts right .
