Sunrise at the Sea Organ (Morske Orgulje), Zadar, Croatia

The night before we shot this video, Zadar was having a celebration and thousands of people we in the city. Wanting to experience the serenity of the sea organ, we decided to come back at sunrise the next morning. It was well worth it! It is an amazing, unparalleled experience.
This organ, created by Nikola Bašić, is literally played by the Adriatic Sea. Underneath the concrete steps are 35 tuned pipes. Musical chords are created in a random fashion as the ocean's waves lap at the steps and force air through the pipes. The volume and frequency vary depending on the mood of the ocean; they chords can be soft and slow when the sea is calm, or intensified if it is rough or if a boat goes by and the wake hits the shore.

This is so wonderful. Thank you. I highly recommend enhancing the sound and turning it into a CD and selling it. Do a half hour and then repeat it once for a full hour. I'm downloading this to my chill out and sleep mix.
