Just replaced that seal because the mechanic broke the original shoving it back on and cause a big leak for that I had to get fixed all over again. Still trying to figure out the reason for red oil pressure warning light on my 2.0 smh
Really hope this is my problem Been having a leak since I got the car replaced a bunch of parts and still small leak and this morning after letting the car shit for 3 days a lot of oil this morning I really hope this is the problem Always drips around the rear main seal and the back of the oil pan
@Got_Boost hey bro check your vacuum pump it's a gasket in the inside that'll will go bad an make the oil leak look like a rear main seal leak. Also you can check underneath your car right where the engine an Trans meet. It's a little hole right there that will let you know if oil is leaking from the rear main seal. Next CHECK YOUR OIL FILTER HOUSING. The gaskets on those goes bad because it sits on the block as well as the engine oil cooler change both gaskets and that should solve your problem with oil leaks an oil pressure. Also make sure your sensor isn't stripped that would cause a oil leak too

Should check the oil pressure from sensor port to make sure you have a low oil pressure first.
@motorcarnut yea I'm goin to do that this weekend
Really hope this is my problem

Definitely check that first, hopefully it is very possible, I see it all the time. Good luck!

I’m going through this right now. I purchased the updated 3 ply gasket which comes with blue silicone impregnated in it.
Still put a little extra sealant as I explained. Good luck
Would this cause the engine not to start?
Many things, ignition, fuel timing low compression etc.
Would this leak show up in a smoke test?
No
@@motorcarnut Then it's the rear main seal for me 😐
@DomDeDom if you checked where I stated in the video and it’s dry then yes if it’s leaking between transmission and engine weep hole.
