Fabulous! Very inspiring. Dioramas are so much more versatile than layouts.

It's great to see your older stuff. Whatever you decide to build is going to great.

Kids, hell... I liked operating your HO switching layout!
Out of the game for a while... just had rotator cuff surgery.

“Live diorama’s”… I’m definitely using that naming convention going forward. Much of what challenges me in our hobby is the stillness of our layouts, beyond trains nothing is animated. I’ve tried “live” water when I was young, that doesn’t work right, I think it would have to be more viscous, maybe mineral oil… I’m not trying that again. I do intend it build out an OpenCar system (like Faller).
Have you seen crownironman channel here? I don’t know the guy, but he’s building an On3 layout of the Mann’s Creek with a dummy interchange where the C&O would have met it. Idk, but might provide some inspiration for your new space and, to my mind, I see you guys as similar modeler types.
Anyhow, thanks for the effort you take and for sharing with us. All the best, looking forward to the new space… when you get to it, moving is a busy business :)

Hi Andy, I agree and there are a few guys out there that do animations. Laurie Green in On30 and David K Smith in N and Z scales. Yes, I do know Jeff Kraker (Crown Ironman) and his work very well. From his original HO Roanoke & Southern to his later narrow gauge work. Actually, he was one of our first custom backdrop customers many years ago! Looking at his files, Ha, it was November 2013.

@@tracksidescenery yes sir, I’ve followed his work since his R&S, especially inspiring as I’m a devoted Norfolk & Southern fella. 2013!, crap, time is getting away from me.

I still build dioramas, but running out of space to keep them, so I'm wondering what I can do with them, sell them or what..
