Comment from DENMARK: My parents had some of Charlie Kunz’s records in the 50’es when I was a child (born in 1944) and they used to play them to dance when they had parties with friends. They also danced to Winnifred Atwell . Good memories ❤
I remember the times when one could hear Charlie Kunz on the BBC Light Programme on a Sunday afternoon at 3.15. At that very same time at 3.15 on Radio Luxembourg - when it was broadcasting on 1293 metres Long wave - who should be there then - Charlie Kunz!
Just the type of music that needs to be played on the radio nowadays Steve , to help relax us all , timeless classics , liked and shared across the globe terrific images and information in the video , Top Notch :) ms

wordsmith52 well they will stay around I think as long as we and youtube are around .. if not well we will never know , but at least the young can find these gems that radio and tv would never even mention :) even the rap acts listen to these songs nowadays lol

Charlie Kunz was in a class of his own but he was lucky in that in his day there were lots of great Songwriters and great songs for him to play but which we have allowed to drift into oblivion and be replaced by primitive sounds from the distant past.
...lovely girl is Faith - very strong apparently...😆 Seriously, a great tribute to Charlie here Steve. Would we all still be remembering him I wonder, were it not for this forum...
Ha ha! Faith has done of lot of moving and shaking over the years I'm sure! I think YT has helped a great deal to keep the old musical memories alive, but of course many others who grew up with his music first hand will never forget. Thanks Jo.

J'aime beaucoup mais tout est gâché par la mauvaise qualité sonore: écho excessif, surtout pour les craquements du disque qui y sont ainsi prolongés, c'est dommage qu'on ne puisque pas écouter l'enregistrement tel qu'il était à l'origine même avec les défauts du supports mais pas prolongés par cet écho !
Oui, c’était un disque des années 1950 en mauvais état. Mais l’original aurait été pire, je pense. Le « nettoyage » était probablement trop précipité. Supprimer un écho est difficile, voire impossible, malheureusement. Merci pour vos commentaires.

I suggest you tune into Angel Radio via the internet or DAB if you live in the Portsmouth area. Always better music nothing after 1960
