NEXT VIDEO TO WATCH: OMRON GOLD WRIST MONITOR UNBOXING & REVIEW: ruclips.net/video/4EcBuwAZBqI/видео.html ...................STAY HEALTHY & HAVE A GREAT DAY!
Watching this video prevented me from waisting 2 hours at the ER. BP went from 180 to 117. My panic from the high reading subsided and I was able to relax comfortably. and healthily. Thank you.
I wish I knew this before. I thought I had blood pressure issues but my blood pressure reading is like a baby Thank you for showing me how to use this properly.
Thanks, I have the exact same monitor and was getting high reading, and after following your instructions it changed my reading drastically! Appreciate it.
I just ordered one of these and my main interest is heart location. I can't go by any images of heart location because they seem to vary from patient to patient. So hopefully this blood pressure monitor will help. A great instruction video indeed.
An incredibly horrible boring long ad for TWO WHOLE minutes ...followed your video. But, I watched the entire thing, because I know it helps your algorithm. You deserve it, great and helpful video.👏🏽😊
Hi Steve, Thank you for the praise, I appreciate it! The end of the video ads are the worse, especially when they trick you into thinking the video is not over yet. Enjoy your day!
With a wrist monitor? The recommendation is to rest your elbow on a table with the cuff at heart height. If that can't be accomplished or accomplished comfortably, then keep it across your chest with the cuff at the same height as the heart.
I own this wrist cuff. My readings are consistently between 95/60 and 125/85 as long as I follow the instructions here. My main goal in testing is to make sure I'm not in a hypertensive crisis, so even if these readings are a bit high or a bit low, they are unlikely to be so off that my BP is over 180. It's also MUCH less painful than arm cuffs and so I'm more eager to test at home, which I consider a good thing.
My problem with this video is that, although extremely detailed, you never mentioned which arm to put the cuff on. As a matter of fact, the instruction picture shows it on her lft arm and your demonstrator uses the rt arm. That should have been mentioned as I know the pressures can be different in each arm.
Hi Donald. There is no one set answer and which arm to use varies from person to person. The American College of Cardiology recommends to measure BP on the arm/wrist which measures higher. I have a video explaining more: ruclips.net/video/pPbPUebTM7U/видео.html
Can't you simply put your monitor to your chest right next to your heart. Doesn't this fix any problems with the type of chair, angle of arm, and all the other factors you talk about? You could be in a recliner and just put your monitor next to your chest and relax...
Thank you for commenting. The American Heart Association and The American College of Cardiology disagrees with your statement. I link to their guidelines in my other video: ruclips.net/video/pPbPUebTM7U/видео.html

Thank you for sharing.
Do breathing excersise when your BP is high.
Just watching this video reduced my bp reading from 143/89 to 117/89. :D
Thanks for sharing :)
89 is still high
Questionable arm..I believe it should be taken on the left arm❤

Very detailed, great video on how to use a wrist cuff. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Honestly thanks for this. I lowered my BP 30 points because of arm level and posture

Thank you for this video today! Nice tips.
You are so welcome!
According to the Omron wrist monitor instruction manual, the monitor is placed over the thumb side of the wrist, not the volar wrist, as you indicate.
Thanks for these tips. Very useful
Glad you like them!
What if I don't have access to a table or chair that is of proper height. What would be best if my only option is in my bed?
Jeez. There is more stress and things to make sure using this bloody thing!!
Which is the right way to use a cuff BP machine??
Resting on the table? Or across your chest!?

@@bloodpressureexplained4609 yes the wrist one. & Thank you!
Great video. Thank you!
You are welcome!
Simple and to the point... Appreciate this so much! ❤😎
Which hand do you put the cuff on?
Do you use it in your right hand or in the left? I see you use it in the right?
The guidelines say whichever arm has the highest blood pressure measurement should be used. Or check both to identify other medical issues.

Does it gives squeeze sensation?
It does, but it's not *nearly* as painful as the upper arm type, at least for me. Just a mild squeeze.
Thanks!
You're welcome

Dear one, I think you are using the monitor on the wrong wrist, it's supposed to be on the left wrist. This is according to instructions.
Can't you simply put your monitor to your chest right next to your heart. Doesn't this fix any problems with the type of chair, angle of arm, and all the other factors you talk about? You could be in a recliner and just put your monitor next to your chest and relax...

@fuzzykitty10 First laugh I've had all day! Thank you!😅
nonsense, in that poition the bicep muscle is exerted not relaxed
This was not helpful. You went way too fast.
bro, you put it on a wrong hand xD You always put it on LEFT hand... lol, you just showed how NOT to use it.

I noticed the same thing...wrong wrist...right off the bat.
Some Omron devices have a left and right setting, this one here not.
Omron recommends the left arm, but more importantly not changing sides.
It does not matter. I don't know where so many people like you are getting their information.
