39:02 - So they don’t talk about WHAT was happening to Emma. The British media had begun publicizing her every single move, every single day. They were taking pictures through windows, stalking parents, and following her little brother. She hit her limit when they decided to PUBLISH MULTIPLE UP-SKIRT photos of her, she was 15 years old. Her parents did NOT want her to go back, and I truly don’t blame them. The next film was delayed by 3 months while she worked out a security deal with the studio. She came back for the fanbase, she is now THE UK’S FEMALE RIGHTS REPRESENTATIVE at the United Nations. 🇺🇳
Damn, the media is crazy for that. I feel bad for her going through all that.
Also followed her around on her 18th birthday even laying on the ground to get up skirts
Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid) passed away last year. So his words in this anniversary edition really hit home. "I won't be here in 50 years, but Hagrid will." - Robbie
Also, Emma Watson wanted to leave because she was starting to be sexualized by the public. She felt alone and singled out with no one to turn to.
British tabloids were literally upskirting her. It was disgusting. It was the time period they were hacking abx wire tapping people too.
I cannot even fathom what it would be like to be a teen actress and know that there were millions of people "joking" about counting down the days until you turn 18. That has to be exceptionally off-putting and just full of ick.
@@JeffKelly03Yes, absolutely disgusting
She was a little too beautiful to play Hermione which didn’t help, but it doesn’t excuse that behaviour. Glad she stuck through it until the end
I briefly dated a marine during the second HP movie. He told me they had posters of Hermoine in the lockerroom to... gaze at. That's Hermoine from the Chamber of Secrets! It disgusted me to no end.
With all due respect guys, Dan Radcliffe (Harry)’s parents didnt want him committing to a multi-part film series that would inevitably take over his life. It had nothing to do with a dislike for wizard stuff…
Yes, also originally the studio wanted the whole production to be filmed in the U.S., and Daniel Radcliffe's parents didn't want to uproot their entire lives and disrupt their son's childhood. They reconsidered the offer once the plans changed to have the entire production based in the U.K. I think filming in Leavesden studios in London meant every child actor in the cast had a much better chance of a normal childhood than they would ever have had in Hollywood.
Ironically, it did, his parents were right hahaha
@@dhruvipatel4009for da best tho. He clearly doesn’t regret it, is a multi millionaire, and now just acts in roles he wants to
15:13 - Momma Weasley is still with us, she retired from the business due to a diagnosis of cancer. She believes the stress caused it, she wished everyone the best. The actress that plays Professor Mcgonagall is also still alive, the reason she didn’t make it was a scheduling conflict. She is still playing a major role in Downtown Abbey.
If you've seen Mama Mia!, Mrs. Weasley is the short, white haired friend of Meryl Streep.
@@rfiliagaful That's actually disrespectful. Her name is Julie Walters. Put respect on that amazing actresses name!!!
They find out bout Maggie if u watched the vid. Put respect on the amazing actresses names!! Julie Walters and Dame Maggie Smith. Covid was the issue here more than scheduling
@@rHamUKso sorry to seem disrespectful. I couldn't think of her name in the moment and couldn't leave the page to look it up. And yes, she is an amazing actress. I just am losing my ability to remember names on my old age. But I certainly didn't mean any disrespect.
@@rHamUKit’s not that big of a deal, the only one being disrespectful is you, mistakes happen. (judging by past comments on the channel you’re always being that way)
Daniels parents knew what kind of role Harry Potter was going to be. They knew that it would be a lifelong commitment for him. That not only would he have to spend the rest of his child, teen and early adult years on this project, but later in life, he would have to carry the prestige of having Harry Potter.
Daniel's Parents did not want him going to America to film as that is where it was thought to be filmed so they said no, when it was filmed in UK instead they had no problems with it
I love how you guys are just full-blown Potterheads now.
Greatest Franchise ive ever seen, no wonder people were lining up for the books, Only Author to reach a billion She cooked
I cannot stand Potter. He makes me so mad i do not know why.... and voldemort definetely should have won that last battle, he was much more worthy than worthless little Potter
@@name-vx1od dang!!! What did Harry do to you? lol
-Adison
Definitely a Slytherin 😅
@@name-vx1od that you, draco? 😂
There is a documentary about how Harry's main stunt double got a life changing injury on the set. And how Daniel really came through as a friend. ❤️
Dan Radcliffe is one of those few celebrities who feels like he's just a genuinely good dude, and legitimately down-to-earth. So it wasn't at all surprising to learn about the documentary and how involved Dan became/still was with his injured stunt double. Dan Radcliffe is one of those famous people who, if he ever Milkshake Ducked, it would absolutely break my heart.
Yes that documentary was so good n sad!!!
do you mind sharing the documentary name? and where can I watch it? Thanks!

Dumbledore was also already dying. if you remember how his hand was all black. when he destroyed the ring horcrux it back fired and harmed him and was slowly killing him. if i remember correctly on the books snape gave him like 6 months to a year or something. so it was also really a mercy killing which could also explain the “please”.
Yep. The "please" was the big tell because Dumbledore wasn't the type to beg for his life. Back then after book 6 I was among the fans who were defending this theory, and that Snape was still on Dumbledore's side 😊
Also in the books Snape told Dumbledore about the the bond draco and he had.
@@AriaIsara yeah me too. I was onboard with this theory and I never liked Snape. hahahaha (as someone who was bullited by a teacher.)
Snape didn't want to kill Dumbledore and that's what the "please" was. Dumbledore was pleading with Snape to go through the plan. Dumbledore expected Narcissa to approach Snape about Draco's mission, too.
This is for Addison - if you read the books first, it seemed like there was even MORE of a chance that Sirius could come back. In the movie he got hit with Avada Kedavra, but in the book, Bellatrix only Stupefied him, and he fell through the veil. So as someone who read the books first, I definitely held out hope for a little while that he would come bacl.
I was just going to type this out! Word for word lol.
Both Rupert and Daniel have done multiple good movies since, Daniel has also starred in multiple stage plays.
Yeah, Rupert has become a mainstay in basically everything M. Night Shyamalan has been doing the last few years.
All of them are fine actors, Daniel is clearly the best tho imo. Also the only one consistently still acting
Ron moving hermiones arm: he wanted to make sure she wasn’t startled by feeling harry take her wand and make it noticed, so he moved it so if she did feel something right in that moment then she knew ok there’s something happening and don’t react to him taking my wand
Yeah I agree, Ron could see what Harry was doing but she couldn’t, and I think most people’s instinct if they felt something being pulled out of their pocket would be to quickly grab for it. So before she noticed anything, he held her arm in case she tried to reach for it before Harry could get it. I think it was to distract her attention as well.
he grabed her to get her out of the way. He wanted to protect her at the moment cause he already has kinda feelings for her
Maybe he didn't want her stopping Harry which, based on what she said afterwards, might have happened.
I always took it as Ron trying to get her attention without outing harry to the "bad guys"
I'll never not cry at Robbie's words about Hagrid right before his passing.
And I don’t think anyone told you but Neville could have been ‘’Harry Potter’’ when Voldemort heard of the prophecy of the child that would kill him, there were two babies that fit the description and that other babies was Neville which makes his character development so much more meaningful especially since he is the one to destroy the last orcrux which made Voldemort mortal with the sword of gryffondor
I honestly wish this was explored more in the films. We see Neville and Luna so much in the later films, but never really get a sense of why their roles are important other than being somewhat fleshed out background characters.
🤯
Yeah but it doesn’t matter as the reason Harry survived is because Snape asked for Voldemort to spare Lily and she chose not to stand aside which then caused the sacrificial love protection. Voldemort wouldn’t have offered to let Neville’s parents live, therefore Neville would have just died as a baby.
@@jordy9096 the whole thing was actually a self-fullfilling prophecy. Neville's life played out the way it did because harry was the one voldemort went after. it wouldn't have mattered which child he chooses to kill. the one he chooses will turn out to be his downfall.
@@7ingko no because it is an allowed outcome for Voldemort to win, one must die at the hand of the other. Without the sacrifice Neville would’ve died.
7:44 - They never mention this, but EMMA was only 9 during the first film recording. She was 2 years younger than Daniel (Harry) and Tom Felton (Draco) who were the actual age of the characters they were playing. She was not only the smartest on the cast, but the youngest.
She was actually 10 when it was filmed, but 9 when cast! And then she would have been 11 when they were released (I'm born the same year as Emma, so when the first few films were released, I was the same age as the characters, which was quite fun)
Tom is 2 years older than Daniel.
@@adventuresinlaurenlandand was clearly the best actor of them all in the early ones
Lmaooo “The Boy who lived” was the whole dang franchise 😂 and the “Main extra” his character was so much more present in the books ! ♥️
Both Dean and Lee Jordon were more prominent. Lee and his banter with McGonagal during every game as the announcer 😂 He tried so hard to be neutral but kept cheering for Gryffindor on mic.
@@hlfbldprincess every time Lee would narrate the games I would crack the hell up 😭 his commentary was so great
@@hlfbldprincess Yeah or being like a free advertisement for Firebolts. I also loved that Lee was the one who kept levitating Nifflers into Umbridge's office. 🤣
I may be wrong, but I THINK the reason JK Rowling wasn't featured as much as you'd expect in this video is because she's said some pretty controversial things about transgender people, to the extent that Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson have felt compelled to speak out in support of the trans community.
As for the upcoming remake; personally, I don't think it's necessary, but I will watch it and try to be open-minded. I look at cinema remakes the way I do music covers, in that they're not intended to be carbon-copies, and can be enjoyed even if the creators take a different spin on it, as long as it respects the source material. If nothing else, it will introduce more people to the magic of Harry Potter and might even motivate kids to go read the books and develop a love of reading, which will of course serve them very well in life.
Whats controversial about saying a man is a man and a woman is a woman, seems pretty logical to me.
Philosopher’s stone is the original name in the UK and rest of the world. Publishing company in America changed it to Sorcerer’s stone because they didn’t think young kids knew what a philosopher was, and was more enticing/magical.
Out of everything in all the Harry Potter reactions I’ve seen.. the thing I appreciate about yall is that pause and moment of silence with the full screen of all the names that we’ve lost.. honestly such a respect to them and much appreciated to see someone give them the respect they deserve for their lives work! Much love ❤
The movie that stopped people from viewing Daniel Radcliffe as "just Harry Potter" was The Woman In Black(2012)
I must say that I rather enjoyed "Horns", too.
Viktor Frankenstein was also a solid movie. Didn't really think "Thats Harry Potter" throughout the whole movie. Him and James McAvoy had such great chemistry.
He was *incredible* in the Weird Al movie that he did last year. So damn funny.
While Now You See Me 2 wasn’t my favorite movie he killed the role he played.
He was in the movie the Lost city too with Channing Tatum and Sandra Bullock
Sirius Black, played by Gary Oldman. He was Commissioner Gordon in the "dark knight' batman movies. Zorg in the 5th Element. He played Truman in the recent Oppenhiemer movie. Dont know where youve seen him from, but hes been in so many roles.
And Churchill in The Darkest Hour (2017) When we were watching Oppenheimer I commented to my husband that it’s interesting he got to play both Truman AND Churchill.
He was in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. He's also a singer.
Gary Oldman also played Dracula in "Bram Stoker's Dracula", 1992 movie, and also played President Kennedy's assassin Lee Harvey Oswald in 1991 movie "JFK".
He's also Reznov in Black Ops.
Alan Rickman took a lot from the set where it caused the prop people to become very strict from taking anything off set. Rickman took one of the original one of Harry's letters to Hogwarts and sold it for $25,000
Working class hero.
One of Tom Felton's older brothers also contributed to the strictness on set when it came to the props, he was looking after Tom for a bit on one of the movies and tried to take a bunch of prop books or something like that 😂
Draco never needed a job, he made just over $17 million dollars for his role in the films. Ron made $67.5 million, Hermione made $73.8 million, and Harry made $95.6 million. Any acting they do now, is truly for the LOVE of acting.
Snape was fine to make the unbreakable vow with Narcissa and Bellatrix because he already knew he would have to kill Dumbledore. He already had planned with Dumbledore the fact that he was dying and that they could not allow one of the Death Eaters to kill him. They could not risk the Elder Wand getting into Voldemort's hands.
The title "Sorcers Stone" was used in America because they didn't think "Philosopher's" would be interesting to kids there, they also reduced some of the British English dialect for the sake of translation.
Dumbledore was going to die, when he put on the ring with the resurrection stone, his old search for power got the best of him and cursed his hand, if not for Snape slowing the curse he would have died sooner AND was still going to die since he could only slow the decay not stop it. So given he was going to die and did not want any of the death eaters or Draco to kill him (who beats the owner of the Elder wand becomes its owner) it was best if Snape killed him and became the owner of the wand because that way it meant Voldemort was not going to master the wand for the longest since he would not be inclined to kill snape (and he did kill him but at the very last moment had it been someone else, he probably would have come to that conclusion sooner and killed them sooner)
Daniel's parents were NOT worried about him being in a wizarding world. They were worried about him getting in a HOLLIWOOD LEVEL MOVIE FRANCHISE for a HUGE part of his life. They were worried about the impact that fame and the industry might have on him.
Yep, this. And that's how I know the dude has good parents. Child actors are chewed up and spit out more often than not, and they knew it, so they were hesitant on letting him get locked into a decade-long franchise that could take away his childhood. And hell, to at least some, degree, they were right in being cautious given Dan suffered from alcohol abuse during the later Potter movies (he's since gotten sober and is doing fucking amazingly well).
In Tom Felton (Draco)’s book. He said Alan (Snape), Isaac (Lucius), Helena (Bellatrix) were some of the nicest people he EVER met til this day. Amazing how they play villains so well.
Helena was in Sweeney Todd, Fight Club, Alice in Wonderland etc.
Isaac was also the main SS officer in Schindler’s List.
the way yall talked though 98% of it is crazy
I'm sure they are able to read the subtitles & listen to what's coming through the headphones as well as talk... Its not like what they were saying was unrelated to what was going on

Right? I checked out other videos of theirs and it's the same thing. Then several minutes later they're wondering what's going on in the show 😂
"That was the OTHER guy with the big eyes" -- Elijah Wood just breaking down and crying lol
Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton were experienced actors pre-HP but HP is the first time acting for Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. Pre-HP, Daniel was in Great Expectation on British TV. Felton referenced his past experience in this documentary but you may have missed it because you were talking and looking at each other instead of listening and watching the film.
Post-HP Tom Felton was in "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" -- the first in a trilogy you might want to add to your reaction list.
Since HP ended, Emma Watson has been in a couple of highly publicized movies. She gets the most publicity for her work, more star-like than others from the franchise. Rupert Grint has been in several movies and British TV as well. So has Matthew Lewis (Neville). Tom Felton has been in several movie and the TV series The Flash.
Daniel has been working continuously as an actor. Even before HP ended, he was on Broadway in Equs. He was back on Broadway last year(?) in a lead role. He has been in several movies -- sometimes lead roles, sometimes supporting roles -- and he has a TV series (Miracle Workers) that I love. Most (not all) of his film work comes out of England, not Hollywood. His roles have varied and are very much NOT Harry Potter.
It's not unusual that non-American actors who are serious about their craft just want to keep working. Fame/stardom is not their goal. They're all about their craft and doing the work.
The original sets are all at Universal Studios in England.
I love Daniel Radcliffe's post-Potter career. He always takes such interesting roles that you automatically know it will be worth watching.
Yeah, they’re just not paying attention, he was freakin Weird Al.
Agreed ppl might disagree but he’s clearly the best actor of the 3 mains
Ya'll thinking too deep about Ron grabbing Hermione's hand. Harry was grabbing her wand, which meant a fight was going to break out. Ron knew this, so he grabbed Hermione's hand so that he could pull her out of harms way
32:28, We just gonna ignore that glorious name for Dumbledore? "The OG Double Ds" 😂😂😂
they knocked it out of the park with this special and I'm glad you guys had fun with it.
I enjoyed this almost as much as the films itself!

21:00
The reason why is because Hermione was standing RIGHT beside Harry, and Harry would've had to move to cast.
But him walking away from his friends in the moment would've been suspicious. Ron was aware of this, and pulled Hermione a bit away, so Harry would have enough room to cast, without it catching anyone else's attention.
don’t worry mrs.weasley is still with us! she’s just a super famous actress and probably had some scheduling conflicts. helen mcrory’s (dracos moms) death hit me so hard, she was only in her 50’s and lost her battle to cancer. she truly was an amazing actress, she played a gangster in the tv show peaky blinders which was also a huge hit in the uk and she absolutely killed it, rest in peace❤️
It’s been confirmed that MAX is in the making of a Harry Potter TV series consisting of 7 seasons (one for each book) and it’s gonna be as accurate to the books as they can make it. So hopefully a bunch of characters the movies never mentioned, along with more screen time for Neville’s character & his families storyline. The Gaunt/Riddle family storyline would also be interesting to see played out, but who knows.
As a British person daniel Radcliffe has been in so many Great movies and I don’t even think of him as Harry anymore 😂
tbh, he's mostly known as the guy with really weird character choices for films. Which is not bad tbh.
Great movies?🤣 Yeah I'm sick of seeing him and all of his directors going up to pick up all the countless awards for these "GREAT" movies.
@@Peter-yj8fju can think they are great or not. He’s clearly the best actor from all the hp kids and has been in numerous critically acclaimed movies.

@@Peter-yj8fj the fact that he has had numerous lead roles in movies, tv shows, broadway shows, since Emma Watson has even acted again and Rupert was a side character in a horror movie once since then is all u need to know… there is a reason he’s the only one being given main roles and consistent work and the others have been m i a. He also has crazy more range in his roles than the other 2. Like it or not he’s the best actor. And why u bringing up ready player 1? He doesn’t even do mainstream shit like that and was a lead in a movie that won at Sundance the most respected Indie movie festival there is. Wtf did ready player 1 win some visual effects award at the visual effects society awards?
Fun facts: Helena Bonham Carter was married to director Tim Burton for years. Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood) was told by JK Rowling that she could portray Luna if she overcame her eating disorder. I met Evanna at a comic con, she was very sweet. You probably recognize Jason Isaacs (Lucious Malfoy) from his role as the main villain in The Patriot. Daniel Radcliffe was recently in the movie Weird where he portrayed “Weird” Al Yankovic.
Helena has also been in most of Tim's movies.
Kenneth Branagh cheated on Emma Thompson with HBC
Toms Felton’s still very much acting and has recently finished filming a sci-fi movie in Astana Kazakhstan, he’s been acting since age 8 and so has been acting before Harry Potter since he was already with an acting agency. After the Hp films he did a lot more acting and kept himself very busy, he’s dedicated to his craft for sure. He’s appeared in the rise of the planet of the apes trilogy and even the Flash series.
Radcliffe has been in several movies. His favorite being Swiss Army Man. It's an extremely bizarre movie but the message and acting is incredible. I'd actually suggest checking it out. I'm curious to see how you would react to that one. It's insane
He’s got so much money, he has been able to do a lot of stage work too, most of it REALLY good. (Stage work doesn’t pay.)
As well as he did Broadway. He's a talented man with a wide range of acting skills. He also produces a lot of his films as he doesn't care about gaining more money (he has plenty from Potter) and he just cares about his passion of directing and playing in movies he actually sees value in. Dan is amazing. 🥰

@@SuperStella1111 Exactly - he made so much money from Potter that it's afforded him the ability to just do really bizarre, smaller stuff that interests him, rather than chasing more big budget studio films. So he just gets to go have fun doing any small project that strikes his fancy at this point. Not a bad life to lead.
IDK if this helps Carianna, but I cry every time I've seen this reunion, even during reaction videos. I'm with you there!
Just wanted to note that Dan Radcliffe has been in several movies and stage productions. In fact, he just won his first Tony award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical for his performance as Charley Kringas in Merrily We Roll Along.
My son read the first Harry Potter book at 7/8 and watched the movie. I let him read them slowly, about 6 months apart. I had intended on spreading it out further so he was closer to 14/15 when he finished them, but like you said about maturity level, he was a very thoughtful and mature kid and also the series was really helping him meet his reading goals at school, which was something he’d been struggling with.
They are redoing them because there is so much in the books that were missed. Like, there's a lot more of Doby, Ginny, Longbottom, just to mention a few.
To be honest they left a lot of stuff out that probably left the strictly movie viewers confused and unaware of motives
Are you guys gonna post a deleted scenes reaction though? I'm really excited for that one! Loved this reaction, as usual.
Yes! I have that one filmed and will release that one soon.

The cast of HP is like a Who's who UK actors. I'd love to see you guys pick some and watch their films. I think you will be blown away.
You guys definitely have to do the sorting hat, patronus and wand quiz on the wizarding world
Well, Rupert Grint was on a TV show that ran for at least four seasons and appearing in every single episode that has ended; Daniel Radcliffe also just finished a four season run on anthology series call miracle workers are the main role on that show that just ended
Y’all are OFFICIALLY addicted to the Wizarding World! Lol some of the actors I think couldn’t come because it was in 2020/COVID, but I can’t wait to see y’all watch the Fantastic Beasts series 😁♥️ (also RIP Robbie Comtraine aka Hagrid, Helen McCroy aka Narcissa/Draco’s Mama, Michael Gambon aka Dumbledore, and Alan Rickman aka Snape 🥺♥️🙏🏾)
Daniel's parents didn't want him filming in LA for 8 movies as a kid. That's why it switched to filming in England. The parents didn't care about witchcraft & wizards, like your parents 😂
Dumbledore’s death was arranged with Snape Dumbledore found Marvolo Gaunt’s cursed ring in the ruined hut of Voldemorts Grandfather and Dumbledore tried to put the ring on because it had the resurrection stone in it, and Dumbledore thought if he put it on, he would see his dead sister Arianna Voldemort had cursed the ring with a deadly curse snape managed to contain the curse to Dumbledore hand that’s why it went all black and dead looking, but eventually it would spread to all over his body slow and painful death so He asked Snape to kill him to save Draco’s soul but also to prevent Dumbledore from a slow, painful death and to trick Voldemort into believing that Snape was his when actually Severus was Always on Dumbledore’s side and have Harry‘s best interest at heart but without telling him
J.K. Rowling choose not to appear in this reunion in part due to the controversy over here comments regarding transgender people. The three main actors did come out against her comments.
JK Rowling is a disgrace, they didnt want her in this, not kidding. Daniels done many movies different from HP, watch them. Pause when u talk. My god. Missed 80% of the entire thing. Useless. Even missed Ralph speaking like voldemort again
So are the JKR comments being deleted? They mentioned her not being a part of this. We all know why. How come nobody is saying anything…
Tom Felton (Draco) is still acting.
Love you guys for your reactions on a beloved series. I get why you are not in for the new show (where every book is one season) - but for me, it is so awesome, and I cannot wait to watch it! My Grandma gifted me the first book back in 1997 and I was so in love with that since then - I got bullied in school for reading Harry Potter. Every time a new book got published I was at those big events - where you could buy it right at midnight - I dressed up as Harry and started reading the book that night. It was magical and I want it to never stop.
Also in the new show they have time to do all the things and show all the characters the films missed out on (Peeves, Winky and show more from the classes) and most importantly Snapes test in the sorceres stone. There is so much more for us to see. I cannot wait!
if Brandon thinks Bellatrix whispering in his ear would be "so bad", wait until you see her as Marla Singer in Fight Club. The things that woman says....
The chapter of 'Order of the Phoenix' book in which Sirius dies in entitled 'Beyond the Veil'. To say a person has gone 'beyond the veil' is a euphemism for having died.
Snape was able to work within the Unbreakable Vow to do what Dumbledore asked of him. Part of the Vow was to watch over and protect Draco, which he has no problem doing, from either standpoint. The third part was to complete Draco's task if Draco was unable to do it himself. Since Draco's task was to kill Dumbledore, and Snape had already been told by Dumbledore (knowing that he already was marked for death) that Snape had to be the one to kill him (which the audience didn't know at the time), Snape had no problem keeping that part of the Vow either. I think that the only reason Snape hesitated for a moment was that he had great respect for Dumbledore and his ability to think so far ahead.
Those movie sets still exist. They are in England and you can tour them. There are also several locations throughout the UK you can visit too. Look up the Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studio tour in the UK.
Yall needa watch fantastic beasts now. It’s the wizarding world in the 1920s. There’s also a book that’s a stage play about Harry’s sons first year at Hogwarts
Dumbledore was dying. He did not have long to live. He wanted Snape to have the Elder wand. But Dumbledore did not count on being disarmed by Draco.
I want to have the type of mental peace that must come along with not knowing why JKR's parts were all filmed in 2019...
I felt so empty after watching the last movie in cinema because it was all my childhood coming to a terms but something incredible happened in the room everybody clapped their hands during the credits ❤ my heart was full again also when watching this reunion film. It was more of a moving on thing than an end like it felt before.
Ron pulled on Hermione’s sleeve to get her out of the way, that’s how I have always seen it!
Unfortunately, when it comes to Snape's role, he doesn't come across as well in the films as he really was. In the books, the scene when Dumbeldore demands that he kill him is much more detailed. Dumeldore's reasoning is that it is the only way to protect Draco's soul from harm. Snape's reply to this is "What about my soul? Have you ever thought that I might not want to do that?" That's why Dumbeldore says please to Snape on the tower.
I think Ron was by far the best actor of the three in the early movies. He just seemed like a natural. Daniel has done ALOT of movies since.None as big as HP but that’s almost impossible to do anyway. He played weird Al yankovic in the weird Al movie and it was actually pretty good. He did a great job.
For the big 3, I'd say Daniel Radcliffe (Harry) is the one who was able to bounce back the most post-Harry Potter. Guns Akimbo, Jungle and Swiss Army Man definitely show his range as an actor.
Emma Watson (Herminion) is a bit on and off with acting but had some good roles like Beauty and the Beast, and Noah. Rupert Grint (Ron), i think, he said he took a break with acting and only took smaller roles, it's only in recent years that he started taking bigger roles (Servant and Knock at the Cabin).
They are definitely doing well post-HP in comparison to other child actors, taking on such a big success.
They went through a few directors, and I'm pretty sure Daniel (Harry) Radcliffe developed a drinking problem IN HIS YOUTH, during (and potentially due to the stress) from working on the movies at some point, dealt with it and kicked it before the series was finished. (Also, Lord of the Rings shot all three movies back to back in New Zealand from 1999 to 2000)
Also- Not realizing that Sirius Black was dead after falling into the veil is completely understandable, it felt like the movie was missing an explanation BEFORE Sirius went into it. They didn't even do anything to make him look like he was doing much more than passing out and disappearing after falling into something the story just introduced to the audience.
Dumbledore knew Snape would be contacted by the death eaters to watch over Draco's attempt to kill him, that is why he asks Snape to do it because not only would this protect Draco from irreparable harm, but it would ultimately prove Snape's loyalty to the Dark Lord as well.
Dumbledore was already a dead man walking from drinking the poison for the horrorkrux in the cave. His body was decaying (hence the black hand).
He says "please" to make Snape do it without more hesitation 'cause he knew the part and outplay Snape would have to the story, that's why he asks him to do it "when the time is right" so that the wand would fall into a trusted ally and lifelong friend 'cause he would be not the first one to get killed by Voldemort and by killing Dumbledore he proves himself worthy for the death eaters.
Snape doesn't want to do it, he says so and he struggles with the decision made by Dumbledore, but he knows it has do be him and since he loved Lily and would do anything to protect her child (Harry) he does as Dumbledore asks.
Remember that Dumbledore had the time turner (the one he lent to Hermoine in the third movie/book), so he knew what choices and sacrifices that had to be done to defeat The Dark Lord.
You guys really should read the books!
I feel like an original marauders show would be way better than a tv show reboot
Thank you !!! We both agree on this point !!!
24:08 JK killed him off before the movies existed lol
I think ron grabbed hermiones hand so that she wouldn't react in a way to grab it, i also think it was to use her hand to hide that harry stole the wand behind her.
The Actor who played Sirious Black played Commissioner Gordon in the Christian Bail Bat-Man movies among other great roles
Also he was in fifth element I think and one of the die hard movies??
@@K5purple2020 Gary Oldman was in The Fifth Element yes, but Alan Rickman (Snape) was in Die Hard not Gary Oldman
@@glenmartin7978 ahh ok. Been a while so I got them confused. Thank you 😊
@@K5purple2020 No Problem
@@K5purple2020 - how about Fifth Element and Air Force One?
In regards to Ron pulling Hermione's sleeve was more because he saw Harry grab the wand and knew what was about to go down so he was protectively pulling her to move her whole body towards him and away from harry.
Chris Columbus, the first interviewee, and director of the first 2 films, also directed Home Alone, Gremlins, The Goonies, Bicentennial Man and others, he is a crafter of a lot of our childhoods classics from the 80's and 90's, he was the keystone that allowed these films to have a great solid start because he is an expert of mystery and magic
Your reaction to visiting the actual set tours in London would be so entertaining! I've never wanted 3 people to go there SO MUCH!
Philosophers Stone is what the rest of the world calls it (also in respective languages), because that’s what it is called. It was changed for you guys in the US for some reason.
Also, because of the curse of the horcrux ring dumbledore was doomed to die anyway. Snape followed the plan as dumbledore set out. He was loyal to that . Harry and hermoine dancing is so sweet. I love how pure their friendhip is because they prove you can be best friends as a male and female they don't have to be together
Robbie Coltrane was a big favorite of mine long before his Hagrid role. Before I got hooked on Potter,
I was a big BBC fan and knew a lot of the actors from their other roles. Dawn French as the Fat Lady was a great surprise.
Ron pulled on Hermione’s sleeve to gesture her to move outta the way because Harry was grabbing her wand to use it and he was trying to keep her safe so she’s not in the middle of it.
Ralph fienes (voldemort) is amazing, you should watch schindler's list
English Patient too. He was AWESOME in that.
I have loved rewatching these movies with you guys! You got me laughing so much.
Ron grabbed Hermione’s sleeve more than likely to prevent her from stopping Harry grabbing the wand. She’s a good girl, and never would’ve attacked a teacher.
“Bellatrix doesn’t think she’s evil”. She literally had a whole ass daughter with Voldy. He’s as evil as they come!
Paparazzi stalked Emma Watson relentlessly. They waited outside on the day of her 18th birthday, laid on the ground, took a picture up her skirt, and held it over her head for who knows how long. I can’t blame her for sticking to herself.
Can you imagine how much more heartbreaking these movies would’ve been if the Potter’s were casted the age they should’ve been? Harry’s parents died when they were 21. They were babies! They aged up the other cast members, as well. Their friends and Snape should’ve been 32, but they were played by people in their mid 30s-mid 40s.
I was devout Catholic for YEARS and we never once talked about not drawing god, or most of Exodus for the same reason: the Sermon on the Mount undid a lot of those rules.
Anyways, I’m an atheist now, and it’s even crazier to me that people think still follow the Old Testament.
Snape is willing to do the Unbreakable Vow because he already had that talk with Dumbledore in his office. He knew he has to help Draco coz Dumbledore told him so. So yeah, I still like Snape 😁
I know you already watched all the movies, but someone re edit the whole first movie with guns. I recommend Brandon at the very least checking it out. It’s funny as heck, and all that time he sits and talks about “Up the pole.” On people.
I highly recommend 😂
Outta the 3 Harry the best actor. He’s the most versatile, has had more main roles, and also is basically the only one of the 3 that even act still.
I think Ron grabbing Hermione’s arm was the scenes way of saying “We are all in agreement that we now trust Sirius and Lupin and not so much Snape” and were thinking it at the same time.
Rupert grint (ron) was in a movoe called thunderpants that came out just after the first or second movie, i think it was really good and showed ruperts acting range.
Emma waton (hermione) went to university in america and done a few movies since.
Daniel radcliffe (harry) does more broadway theatre but done some movies.
The other kid stars are all active with the HP fandom attending meet and greets, press events and opening for things like universal and the studio tours. Their characters have more weight in the books than the movies too.
The movies really changed from the books by goblet of fire, the cut and changed things to make the movie.
Incorrect. Draco is evil to the core. The only reason people like him is bc of the actor, Tom Felton. He's a horrible racist, bigot in the books with no redemption arc. J.K. Rowling even said that she's disturbed that people like Draco because he's an awful person
Addison’s continued hatred for Bellatrix still cracks me up so much. I’ve really enjoyed watching you guys react to this whole series
so they dont know the controversy with Rowling but they picked up on her exclusion for most of this
Guys, you have to read/listen to the books. So many holes would be filled, especially the whole Snape killed Dumbledore thing. You’ll get a whole new perspective.
Just like you guys, I’d only watched the movies. When Snape killed Dumbledore, I knew there had to be more to the story and I couldn’t wait another year or two for the next movie. I immediately went out and bought the audio books, because I had to know what happened. I found out, but I will say that ruined the rest of the movies for me.
Now that you’ve seen all the movies, I highly recommend that you get into the books.
P.S. Doby plays a much bigger role than you realize.
Ron probably grabbed Hermoine on instinct,he already had feeling for her and probably just wanted her out of harms way before Harry started fighting. But who knows.
This, I also think it was to make space for Harry to do wand work
The reason Ron grabbed her by the hand in that scene is because he figured what Harry was going to do (which would potentially get him in a wizard battle) so Ron subtly got Hermione out of the way. We usually grab someone's sleeve to relocate them closer to us for protection. That's all it was 😅
They gotta watch the first movie again but when someone edited all the wands out for guns lmaoo it would be perfect
I think Ron grabbing Hermione's sleeve was more being prepared to pull Hermione out the way once the wand was clear.
No one was about to tell Harry he couldn't give them the smoke right then
Daniel Radcliffe is currently in one of the most hilarious roles in a TV show called “Miracle Workers” he plays one of the Earth bound Angels during various times of human evolution (ie: The Middle Ages, The Western Frontier etc…) and it’s riotously funny because they’re approaching these times with Jesus’ idea of equality during humanities most barbaric times. I think they’re on the 4th season and I never think of him as Harry Potter in this show, he’s just brilliant. Ya’ll should definitely look into reacting to the show 😂
