In the books, Dudley was doing all sorts of things behind his parents' backs to show his appreciation, and that he'd started to change. He understood he and his parents were being protected/saved yet again by Harry.
And at the end of the series, we know that Harry was a horcruxes, and being around one for too long, can make people angry, like when Ron was wearing it for too long. Obviously his aunt and uncle were shitty people but the horcruxes didn’t help.

Yeah, that was an idea that someone thought of years later about the Dursley to ‘throw them a bone’. The fact that Petunia was so jealous of her sister and hated her for it. Vernon hated anything abnormal because of the neighbours. They honestly just couldn’t stand Harry. Dudley, was the only one who change in the family.

It's just a thing invented by fans. The Dursleys were described as bad people by McGonagall at the beginning of the first book, before harry's arrival and we know that Petunia treated Lily with contempt because she was a witch.
it has nothing to do with harry being a horcrux, considering none of his friends were ever negatively affected, there were some fights, sure, but they weren't related to the horcrux in harry.
Fan inventions remain fan inventions, not canon facts, that can be read only in the books.
seeing these deleted scense i just now realized I have been watching the extended edition of HP for so long I forgot that those scenes werent in theaters

I was just going to say this as well.
The bezoar detail that Snape was talking about in that first potion class was what Harry gave to Ron when he was poisoned in Slughorn's room. He WAS paying attention (unless it appeared again in HalfbloodPrince's book. I don't recall)
It did. Not long before Ron was poisoned they had a potions lesson in which they had to make antidotes. Harry started panicking cause he couldn't just find the halfblood princes answer to the task, as he first had to figure out what the poisons actually were, but then he saw in the book that bezoars worked against most poisons so he grabbed one and presented it to Slughorn at the end of the lesson which delighted Slughorn as it reminded him of Lily.
It does appear again in the Prince’s book, and Harry uses it in one of the potion’s classes instead of creating an anecdote he didn’t know how to make. Regardless, he learned a lot from Snape without really realizing it
Harry remembers it from reading the half blood prince notes.
Hermione reminded them snape told them on the first day of class year one.

Adding on: this was the first time Snape looked Harry in the eyes and the aswers to those questions later were revealed to mean that Snape was declaring his love for Lilly after all this time. Yeah, "always. :')

in the books, Dudley changed after the Dementor attac. He used to put tea cups before Harry s room. Harry only understood after the goodby that this was Dudlleys way of showing gratitude. Harry and Dudley kkept in contact after the final battle. After Petunias death Harry was suprised because in the will she mae sure he gt the blaknet he arrived in (in movei one), She had kpt it all those years.
Unfortunately, the last sentence is just a fun fiction. CC is not canon, it doesn't change anything in established world!

That Malfoy tossing a wand to Harry was never in the books.
Also, in the books, the final battle was different. There was a one hour ceasefire followed Grawp and the centaurs arriving.
Neville beheaded Nagini almost immediately when the battle restarted and Harry stayed hidden during the battle.
Eventually it was just Voldemort and Bellatrix left.
Voldemort was fighting McGonagall, Slughorn and Shacklebolt all at once while Bellatrix was dueling Molly with everyone watching.
After Bellatrix was killed, Voldemort was about to attack Molly and Harry revealed himself when casting a shield on Molly.
Then Harry and Voldemort circled each other prepared to duel and both cast their spells and Voldemorts curse rebounded, killing him and the Elder Wand flew back at Harry.
Harry then returned the Elder wand to Dumbledores tomb, he didn’t destroy it.
Yeah I really like the books ending, except from returning the elder wand. I do believe breaking it would’ve been the smarter choice as is done in the movie, Harry is going on to become an auror, is he really arrogant enough to think he won’t be beaten in a duel or at least disarmed. If anyone was to find out where the elder wand was it would be to easy.
Harry also used the Elder Wand to repair his own wand before returning it to Dumbledore.

Dudley changed over the books, it was sad that it wasn’t included in the films. His Aunt Petunia was upset when she lost her sister. It made her hate two things, wizards and James (Harry’s Dad). Harry looks just like his father, and she knew he was a wizard. The reason her sister was killed was also a prophecy regarding a child born on a particular day. That child was Harry. There is a lot of misplaced anger, misplaced but understood.
The “I don’t think your a waste of space” line works better in the context of the book.
Big D was Dudley's nickname, that only his friends called him.

39:00 it was said that when Dudley got attacked by the dementors, he experienced the pain and fear of his victims (he was a bully) and that understanding changed him as a person.
Filch is a squib (non magical child born to magical parents). That letter was for him to try to learn some simple spells and he was embarassed.
Right and a lot of the students treated him like shit for being a squib. To me it made sense he helped Umbridge to be mean and get back at the students.

There were little hidden hints in the books that Dudley changed his attitude towards Harry as he grew older. For example, he secretly left tea in front of the door if Harry didn't come downstairs from his room,which Harry stepped on and only realized when he said goodbye that it was meant well and not as a "trap". Not really surprising when you consider that the two grew up together from the age of one and Dudley is slowly outgrowing his parents' influence.
The Fairwell Dursley’s deleted scene surprised me when i first saw, cause it being only a couple seconds i felt like it could’ve been left in during Hermone wiping family’s Memory of her // Montage😅
Fun fact. The actor playing Dudley had lost a lot of weight before Deathly hallows 1 and they put him in a fat suit for his scenes.
Big D was what all Dudley's cronies called him lolol. Not established in the movies. Also-Dudley turned over a new leaf after the Dementor attack- he was forced to be confronted with what a crappy person he was. His mind is fine lol.
8:32 they actually mentioned in the movie that they had to move the mirror because . if you look into it too often, you might just stare into it, and forget the life that you have around you. Erised

In the books they talk about how Harry doesnt see Big D often but they do keep in touch. I always liked that.
There's a missing deleted scene here from Order of the Phoenix. While Dolores Umbridge was introducing herself to studente in the Great Hall (after interrupting Dumbledore's speach), the camera was showing the professors sitting at their table & focusing on Professor Trelawney eating & making a mess of her dinner. Not important for the plot, but it was funny to watch
The actor who played Flitwick is Warwick Davis. He also played Griphook the goblin in Deathly Hallows. He was the main ewok in Return of the Jedi too.

The thing with Ron and Hermione is that Harry is off by himself most of the time. This automatically makes Ron and Hermione hang out more often so it's not at all surprising they'd develop feelings after all the bickering. They're also more involved with each others lives and families behind the scenes than Harry is.
It also makes sense how their personalities just clicked as siblings. Harry grew up so alone, and Hermione had a mothering quality. Harry put up with more than Ron did when she went off with SPEW, and Hermione also put up with Harry's moods better. There was a sensitivity between them that wasn't there between Hermione and Ron. They just went at each other's throats, and I agree with you that that did it 🤣
if you all read this the scene with Dudley is in the books, he was spoiled by his parents, when he eventually realizzed after the Dementors that Harry saved him he started to get signs of humanity towards Harry showing that he did save him so he cant be al bad as his parents told him kind of like Malfoy with muggles, its like the flipside of it i doubt read this but there is man elments and Harry and Ginny was always a thing just the movies ruined it, same as Rons character and over did Hermione.
I always had the impression that he "saw" that Harry was willing to risk being expelled from Hogwarts that so much loved (for using underage magic outside school/in presence of muggles) in order to save him from the dementors so he changed after realising that...

Though just like Malfoy and Harry there is future bitterness it kinda circles back is what igot out of it from the books, most who watch movies dont understand unless read books, their two different then same.

He saw himself Dudley did as a spoiled kid, which circles back also to Harrys Dad James, she said that he was spoiled by his family, that is why in school his ego was high,, and i thought and notice that alot of things circled back i maybe wrong on a few things however but the can be pieced together.
James and Snape hated each other since first time saw each other.

Lily and James used to hate each other in a way, until Snape called Lily a mudblood ending their friendship. So Lilly got with James when James matured, same as Ron and Hermione. The books show Ron more learning to mature even got a dating book to better himself even gave one to Harry for bday.
Dudley since spoiled i maybe wrong but the signs are there, that since James was spoiled as a child. Dumbledore didnt want harry also suffer same fate as his father. So in away its good he lived with aunt and uncle he learned to see the bad of people and ot not be like them so in a bad but good way he learned what NOT to be like same as not be like his father in being like Dudley a spoiled kid.
But Dudley since afterward, i think after JK revealed he saw what he was a spoiled pampered kid, so my guess is from that info she said, that he started to really think on that being spoiled he really saw the bad in him to which he really isnt same as Draco hes spoiled kid, then had a waking a bit of not what to be, same as James did. There is many more circles that i can get into.
GInny in book also is more signs she likes Harry, plus Harry likes beauty Hermione in book is a nerd and Ron is a freckled skinny poor kid, 2 outcasts same as James did with SIrius a outcast of his pure blood family, Remus a outcast due to his odd behavior, and Wormtail which is obvious, which in same time too Harry being popular in a sense, befriended Hermione a smart and nerdy muggleborn, and a poor but funny loyal friend Ron. See the matching lifestyles? Between past and present, some are said by JK and others are from books and what i learned even that not in books, and it does make sense. Dudley saw he was spoiled eventually for a bit noticed Harry not as a wizard to be feared but more of family, even if he still brainwashed by his family eventually accepted him as family, even if ... silence. There is respect there.

I want the scene where Malfoy gets redeemed. But, we also needed the scene explaining the mirror and the one explaining why people couldn't say VOLDEMORT near the end.

The first few crazy questions snape asks Harry all secretly refer to Lilly and it being his deepest regret
I think we all love the Draco scene at the end, but it’s actually better that they cut it because it gives Draco a bigger redemption arc then he was ever meant to have from the original book character. Draco is a complicated character but never has any huge bursts of bravery per se, and ultimately at the end he loved his mother and wanted to please his parents. In the books, the Malfoys stay at Hogwarts after the battle and basically walk away from Voldemort, but Draco doesn’t have a redemption arc on paper until the Cursed Child

I have to disagree. He easily could have identified and sold them out when they were brought to malfoy manor.
Nah I liked that lost scene. Just because uve never been brave before doesn’t mean he can’t have a moment. He hesitated to even join his fam and vold at the end, just got saved by Harry. I can totally see him after witnessing Harry come back from the dead be like fuck it this my chance. It’s weirder to me they wud just leave Harry’s wand on his body. if I’m Voldemort I’m snapping that shit instantly when u think he dead

They left out when Harry, Ron and Hermione were trying to open the locket when they first got to the forest. It’s the only time Harry uses Avada Kedavra.
Malfoy was interested in the vanishing cabinet in the Borgin & Burkes in that deleted scene from film #2 that he used in #6 to connect to the one at Hogwarts in the room of requirement. This was a foreshadowing that didn't make it in.
if it one scene i got to choose to realy kept in the movie was dudley saying goodbye to harry.

I wish they kept the scene with the bezor, because Harry ended up remembering that. Do you remember when Ron had drank the poison wine in the half blood prince? Harry used a bezor to save him.
He actually knew to do that because he had recently seen it in the Half Blood Princes book.

The house that the trio was with Olivander, Griphook and Luna was the house of Ron's brother, Bill and Fleur. He married Fleur Delacour (the triwizard champion from Beauxbattons) and became a werewolf because he was bitten by Fernir Greyback (that's why Lupin said that joke at the Dursley's house 'Bill like his steak raw now"). Fleur recieved a award from the French Minister for her work in the battle agains Voldemort.
I believe that Snape said “your classmate’s cheek”, not “your classmate’s cheat” in the scene in Snape’s classroom.

When I first watched the movie, it was a collection downloaded from online and someone edited to contain most of the deleted scenes (even some unfinished ones) that still make sense within the context of everything else.
I'm so glad I watched that version for my first watch because it made the experience so much better!
What annoys me about that early Snape scene is that HARRY WAS TAKING NOTES! He was literally writing down exactly what Snape was saying. I kept yelling, TELL HIM! 😂
Hermione did NOT know what a horcrux was when she was in her second year at Hogwarts. None of them did. She figured out Harry was a horcrux while they were travelling together in the last book.
48:25 the fourth book kinda explains what happens when you dont hold up your end of a deal with Goblins. Just a FYI.
Bill was actually in a lot of scenes in the books, he was here since goblet of fire.
21:52 ghost like rotten food, and they say to glide over decaying food vapores as if they could almost taste it. Maybe this is why Hogwart’s Ghosts stink.
I feel like a lot of scenes while not fully redeeming the character still added a layer of depth to them. That's why I really like most of these scenes.

Dudley and Harry's relationship changed after the dementor attack. This scene shouldn't have been cut because it really redeemed Dudley.
Yeah I wish they portrayed Ron better in the films, he was far more courageous & didn’t “turn” nearly as strongly on Harry

You guys need to react to cannons that came out after the Harry Potter series ended. There are a lot of answered questions about what happened with the characters after the series ended.
The kid reacting to the ghost when it walked through him was because ghosts are cold.
The Draco scene is definitely the best but unfortunately it breaks the plot because then Harry isn't the master of the Elder Wand. But man, we really needed a redemption for Draco :(

In case you don't know yet, Lil tune also plays the the killer Leprechaun in the franchise by the same name. They're classics. He was also in a movie called willow in the 80s.
Dudley was also affected by a big scene that was only in the book. Dumbledore came to the house to get Harry (not at a train station, that was only in the movie) and talked to the Dursleys, scolding them for never accepting Harry as a son. Dumbledore also said, "but at least he wasn't damaged like your own boy," which confused and bothered Dudley. I guess he finally figured out his parents encouraged him to be a spoiled bully. It probably helped him see that Harry wasn't the problem.
Dudley got humbled with the dementors sending him to a dark place and having him overcome it. Redeemable character

Fun fact in The Prisoner of Azkaban, Goyle was absent for a few scenes as his actor Josh Herdman had injured his arm, and was replaced by Theodore Nott.
Deathly Hollows Goyle's role in the book is replaced by Blaise Zabini in the film. This is because on 7 April 2009 Crabbe's actor (Jamie Waylett) and another man were arrested for cannabis possession and later tried and sentenced to community work. However, it was Goyle who took Crabbe's place in the movie and was the one who was killed by Fiendfyre. Unfortunately, that wasn't the end of Waylett's problems, as he was arrested again in 2011 for his participation in the 2011 England riots, and was sentenced to two years in prison in 2012.
The funny thing is, the Dursley’s were supposed to be the representation of Christians and how they looked at magic. Something to think about.
Watching this I realized most of the deleted scenes were in the original VHS and DVDs cause now I remember these scenes for sure from back then. Hadn't seen them since now, this was very nostalgic. They should have left most of them in. Thanks guys!

1) Harry and Dudley are on Xmas card terms when they grow up and Harry brings kids to Dudley so that their kids can interact.
2) Ron's brother Bill worked at the same Bank Griphook worked.

Go read the books or listen to the audios. Know that JKR uses Victorian flower code; so all people named after flowers: it means something. Note when Snape in the 1st film says: 'what would I get if I mixed powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood', asphodel is a lily and wormwood is the regret in death. Snape was sending Harry a message in code!

Harry in the movies is very mild and approachable- they made him into an Everyman sort of character.
But in the books, Harry was actually really snarky, full of sass and definitely had a bit of an attitude problem. Shame he had to be toned down for the movies. He was a more interesting character in the books.
The part with Snape about the Beezor actually explains how Harry knew to give it to Ron when he gets poisoned in "The Half Blood Prince"
50:41 - Harry didn’t have a wand, Draco gave it to him. You see how poorly shot the edit was, they just didn’t catch it and they thought they had. Which is awful.
Reading the books gives you all the insight you'd want on the inner world of many characters, backstories, ambiguous thoughts, motives, mixed emotions and the changes they undergo. The movies have no comparable depth in that sense. I always feel like they only covered half of the story in the movies. Some major things happen only in the books. The deleted scenes are only the tip of the iceberg! :)

Ginny wasn’t just “good at quidditch”, she went on to be a professional player. Also no director has ever cut a scene because the actor was “too good”, it was cut for the runtime, simple.
Me too. He was the bravest man Harry had ever known. He was saving people all through the series. He sacrificed himself for his love for Lily. Snape knew he might go down in history as a hateful villain. But to save the Wizarding World he sacrificed himself and still got Harry the info Dumbledore told him to pass on to Harry

That cheerleader teacher convo reminded me of my junior high teacher who was crazy hockey fan to the point that he was revenging on students if the team lost. Each time they lost the teacher would pull up the nastiest surprise exam next morning and only way you could predict them was keeping an eye on the hockey scores. What a weirdo.

I don't know if you know, but the reason for the roosters\chickens being killed in Chamber, was the cry of a rooster is deadly to a Basilisk.

I saw an interesting take somewhere, that the Dursley's treated Harry the way they did because he was a horcrux, all along. We saw how much it affected Ron and Harry, imagine what it did after years of exposure? :)

Had a science teacher who thought he was going to participate in a teacher exchange program with China. He spent all but the last couple weeks of school working varios trivia about China into every single lesson. (Nothing to do with science, just random facts.🤦♀️) He learned he wasn't selected, and would have a dramatic meltdown if anyone even mentioned China for years afterwards. It was quite awkward since he always included some of the China trivia on every test and quizz, including the final. 🤣

In the books the Centaurs actually did beat up Umbridge but Dumbledore single-handedly went into the forest and rescued her brought her to the hospital wing, so she could have medical treatment while Ron Hermione were recovering. Ron makes a clip clop noise with his tongue and she gets scared because she thinks the centaurs are in the hospital wing. And apparently she tried slinking away and peeves chased her whacking her with McGonagall’s walking stick. until Umbridge she ran out the gates and disapperated
