McLaren complaining that “Max used the rules to his advantage”? Who in F1 does not do that? What kind of argument is that? That is the whole point of F1, who can do the best job interpreting the rules to their advantage. The “push them wide on the corner” is the basic go to move on that corner. If you want a different outcome change the rules or change the corner, but stop whining about rules interpretation. This is the result of the “close racing” they try so hard to artificially create.
Not a huge fan of either, but Norris should have let him retake the position back on the main stretch and then re-overtake him within the next couple of laps
Verstappen is another Schumacher and Senna if you can’t get your own way force opponent off the track, I raced years ago in clubman’s, over a lot of races a couple of drivers done this but the trouble for them was to disqualify and ban them from clubman’s racing. The FIA are a complete failure, Vestappen did not have go that wide into the bend.
The key thing here is that the stewards decided that because car 1 was ahead of car 4 at the apex of the corner car 4 got the penalty however Russel was ahead of Bottas at the apex of the same corner and got the penalty so there was no consistency in the stewards decision making.
In my opinion Max when out at the first corner and overtook Lando , so the overtake was illegal and the FIA knows it and did nothing . When u force a driver off track and you go off track too u gained and advantage ,it is written in the rules .
When a team stretch the rules to their benefit it’s ok. When another tear does the same, it’s not right. Bla, bla, bla. It’s racing. If violations prove to be a danger, that’s different. They have all turned into crybabies. Enough. Let them drive!
McLaren scr*wed up plain and simple .. true Lando had the red mist on but the pit wall should have realised they were faster, and as many have noted give him the place back and then nab him in the next lap or two ... great race though!
“Max used the rules to his advantage”? FFS. Any person in any sports not trying to do just that is a loser not a winner. I used to play high level bridge and kicked out team mates for lack of knowledge of the rules, followed training to become an arbiter just to benefit while playing. Had Norris had any understanding of the rules would NOT have tried to overtake on the outside in turn 12. He would have had the intelligence to try more often and hopefully successful once on the straights with DRS. Yes, the current rule sucks, but it applies to all. Norris got outsmarted by Verstappen and that's all there's to it.
Everyone doing what they can,to win . McLaren is close to make history, winning this season is huge for them, this conflict just started a war between them so I say penalty for stewards and no for drivers
Max needs to be penalised for not leaving a cars width and for forcing another driver off the track, he intentionally drives into the corner with no intention of making the corner, he is a dirty driver and is dangerous to other drivers. The sooner he leaves F1 the better, it is very unpleasant to watch, the penalty result should have been 5 seconds to Norris and 10 seconds to Max, if the situation occurs again in the same race Max should be shown the black flag with a race ban if he continues to break the rules. It puts the sport in bad light.
It’s unbelievable how Redbull and in particular Max are always benefited by F1. Mas have repeatedly used aggressive manouvers and tactics in his advantage and F1 never penalizes it. This needs to stop…

McLaren is lately the cry baby on the grid. 😢😢

That would be the better decision, but... this is not the first time when a British driver believes he's above the rules.
Max dive bomb defended, I hope that is addressed with a rule change.

I wonder if their friendship will survive this on track drama?

Once again Max has got away with dodgy moves it is about time this sorted .
Anyway Ferrari 1-2 winning 🏆
Toto must be dumb or rejected by Max 🤣🤣🤣
Be really unfortunate if Piastri took Max out of a couple of races 😅
Great idea!!….. go for it.
Not fair when it comes to Verstappen!
What news

Lets not forget, the stewards have made thier decision. Stop this whinning ffs

The reason for Lando went off the track is that Max forsed him off the FIA rules only apply to some drivers
Lando was definitely shoved wide by Vanslapping.
RB have FIA in there back pockets
Getint en dus janken.......
