I must say there is a night and day difference between the before/after clips. It feels like a different amp altogether even just after 50 hours!! Sound seemed relaxed and staging seemed to have gotten bigger in comparison.Good signs...

    In my case, I used the preamp SC-11S1 with two power amps, two main speakers, and two pioneer super woofers. A weight is fixed to the back of the unit for the main speaker and super woofer to eliminate the blurring of the unit, and conversely to repel it forward. The localization is so good that it is unthinkable with commercially available speakers, and the sound comes out in front. The super woofer can be raised to 20Hz without violence by adding an equalizer.Good sound and the best memories.

    A very good video on unboxing. The build quality is super hi end. the best part of the video is the before and after 50 hours. The out of the box amp sounded slightly bright and lean, and kind of harsh(not irritating). After 50 hours it sounded very bold, smooth and authoritative. A great amp to buy and its am sure will outperform any other hi end brand in any price bracket. More important, I am a big fan of made in Japan hi end audio gear.

    Yes burn in is very real despite what some people say. Denon has the longest burn in period of any amp ive ever ussd. I have a PMA-A100. Also that Marantz player is good but the matching Denon will bring it up to another level

    • @nicoras8803
      @nicoras8803 11 месяцев назад

      From an industrial engineer, what does burning in to you mean. Switching something on for a period of time before using it? That is not burning in anything at all, it may find what is known as infant mortality. In other words, it conks in after a few hours of being energised for a while. I take it that you burn in your new computer as well, so maybe it would make less spelling errors in those first few days. Do you burn in your kettle in case it over boils water, or your watch in case it tells the wrong time for the first couple of days. This audio foolery has no end to it. The stuff that you believe as gospel is not worth being written down.

    Looks like it shares a lot of components with the Marantz line. It's probably made in the same factory. The SX1 Limited looks really nice but will probably be less flexible with what speakers you can use with it. Congrats man, amp looks and sounds great.

What I have expereinced today when I first turned on the unit - it started making continual click noise then shuts down. I have already sent an email to the supplier but still appreciate your prudent advice. Hi Tharbamar, my amp blown out yesterday after I plugged it in with a new transformer (which gave 125v instread of 100v). I am so sad after waiting that long to save money and now all went in vein. Since I bought from an individual in Japan who is reluctant to support me and also I dont know if any professional is familiar with Japanese model. I contacted Denon in the UK, they said to contact Denon in Japan and when i spoke to Denon in Japan, they said they cant help since the item in outside of Japan. Sorry for writing a lot to you. I believe you are the expert to give me some guideline or advise. So sorry I know this is not relevant to the comment section here. Thank you

    I guess it depends on what someone considers 'night and day' but there obviously is a difference between out of the box and 50 hours. It sounds more organic and musical after the 50 hours but definitely not unpleasant in any way out of the box.

Sound quality is warm and very revealing, it runs and sound like Class-A amplifier with great power reserve. Thanks
