- Irving Berlin wrote this song in 1927, and one of the most memorable onscreen performances of it appears in the 1946 film, "Blue Skies." Fred Astaire uses his cane to great effect and dances with nine reproduced versions of himself. It took him five weeks to film that routine, as each "Fred" was filmed separately! It's such an iconic scene and we love it!
We hope you enjoy our new four-hands arrangement of "Puttin' on the Ritz!"

Thank you so much for watching!
Two class acts... who's sum is greater than their parts. They are lucky they found each other, and we are lucky they did.
Thank you so much for the lovely comment!!

You are beautiful couple, and you play wonderful!!!!
Hi Kid’s .Loving the Show Tunes. 💕🎼🎶🥀🎶💕 Now I need to check out your other Tunes🥰 . Love as Ever,Chris. 💕🎶🥀🎶💕👏👏👏
Thank you, Chris! Stay well! 🤗
The very definition of making beautiful music together.
What fun ! Reminds me of the classic Marlene Fingerle/Artie Schutt piano collaborations for Decca's " Songs of Our Times", 1940s 78s that were reissued on LP in the 1950s. And for on-camera charisma , this is so much like the classic Steve Allen show ( Tonight Show) teaming of Terry Gibbs and Terri Pollard ! Excellent! Good music-making is not dead ! 😁
Thank you for sharing
Bravo!
When I listen these two playng the piano I have non words to tell how much I enjoy watching and listening to them !
Grazie Paolo!!
Nice and talented couple.
With your class and sophistication, this certainly is the right song for you two fantastic artists!!

I’m over here clapping my hands offffffffff!!!!!!
Very uplifting music. And what a joy to see the beautiful smile of Stephanie.
Just happened on this amazing piece. They make it look effortless, even when returning to kick somebody over to the other side of the keyboard.
Balèze le couple !
כל הכבוד ❤❤❤❤❤
These two are fantastic pianists and make you feel good about the day!
Wonderful Version played by you 🤩
I am very much a rocker, but for me that rocked big time
Thanks so much, Stephen!
Really good
La spinta propulsiva che scaturisce dall'entrata di Stephanie a 2:29 è spettacolare.
☺️
That was a good wake up for today! Many thanks for this brilliant arrangement (pfff... not easy at all!).
Thank you so much!!
Beautiful!!! Looking forward to seeing you live someday. Lots of love from Berlin, Germany
Es lohnt sich! (worth the wait!)

Thank you so much, Juan! Hugs back to México!
❤ Bravo!
Awesome piano music
Stunning work Stephanie and Paolo - always - thank you!
We really appreciate that, John!
Fantastic. As a fellow pianister, I salute you both. I hope we all have a chance to meet, either at a gig or over my 1898 Bechstein grand in Venice, CA. By the way, I always thought Irving wrote "Puttin' on the Ritz" in 1930! Every big record of it is from that year.
Thanks so much, we hope to meet you too! You’re right about the many records of it released in 1930! What I found out is that Berlin wrote the song in 1927, published the sheet music in 1929, and I guess the song became popular because of the 1930 film “Puttin’ on the Ritz” and Harry Richman’s recording of it that same year.
@@StephanieTrickPaoloAlderighi Ms. Trick, you are a Gentleman and a Scholar.
🙏😊
Великолепно! как красиво!👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you so much! 😊
Such a fun performance of a great tune! Thanks to both of you as ever!!
Thank you so much, David! We really appreciate your kind words!
I like every piece of your interpretations. Thanks a lot.
biiig LIKE !!! Congratulations !!!
What a super rendition of this great song! Love it!
Bravo!! Excellent performance as usual. I would love to know how much of the piece was arranged and how much was improvised.
Thanks! In this case the first and last parts are arranged and the central part is improvised…so about 50/50 😊
So much fun. Izzy woke up and said "Did I write that? All I know is F sharp."
That’s right about F sharp! 😁😁
@@StephanieTrickPaoloAlderighi as CP said, "You're the top".
I love this arrangement! That last descending run is so cool...sounds like a appoggiatura, but what chord or intervals?
I'm running out of superlatives...
🙏😊
Stephanie,
Thou swell, but you haven't soloed since!
She is much more in tune and upbeat.
Are you aware that the audio level of your videos is lower than the average of other RUclips videos? Are you normalizing the audio level of each video? That would be recommended. Normalizing refers to processing the digital audio so that the loudest peak in a file is as loud as it can be, in theory 0 dB. Typically, some headroom is preserved by normalizing to a slightly lower level, e.g., -0.5 dB.
Thank you for your helpful comment, we’ll keep it in mind as we work on new videos!
She wears him by the nose... she is infinitely superior
Are they married?
He is a beginner next to her
The guy plays jazz like classical music and she needs classical piano training to her jazz.
