Excellent video! Just what I was looking for. I applied the same technique to show a viz as well as a title since you have to hide the title to make the swapped viz show correctly.
@The Information Lab Thanks for the video. It was really helpful. Could you please let me know the purpose of using "All" in custom values? I didn't get what it was doing. Thanks!
How do you get your two sheets to "sit" on top of one another? When I drag the second sheet using floating, the second sheet doesn't fit the entire box
How does it work with the legends? It seems that it maintains it from the first graph when it you select the other graph showing as Null. Any thoughts?
How do handle Worksheet titles and Legends while following these steps? I was able to shift between worksheets but the legends and titles seem to show just the First chart's. Any help is appreciated.
Hi Andre, Thanks for the video. I have a doubt, Why did the "All" value fail in your demonstration ? Is it because you did not add the "All" value while creating the parameter or is it because you did not add "All" in the filter shelf while adding custom value for the Donut Sheet by clicking the "+" sign ? Thanks
Thanks for your wonderfully informative post, I just want to create a dashboard in Tableau for different users (patient and doctors), is there any possibility to have a display sheet for each of this group, for example, you choose you are a doctor or patient then you can see different kinds of graphs.I know that R through its different panel (conditional panel) have this capability, is there something like this in Tableau?
Are you using distribute evenly? You should turn that off for that to work, you might need to play around with the worksheets underlying size to make it adjust properly.
Custom Values in the calculated field(which is tied to the parameter) should be the same as the parameter name in order to function. Try putting up anything else and you will see it wont work then.
Go to 7:00 to skip the donut chart tutorial.
thank you for 7min back
seriously...that was so annoying.
Someone give this guy an award. I was trying to do this since couple of hours but wasnt able to figure it out until I watched this video
Pleased to hear it helped, thanks for watching
Thanks. You should have titled it as "Donut chart tutorial + Swapping sheets using Parameter". This was quite useful

Glad it helped!
Awesome! Would this same method work if you had 3 sheets you wanted to toggle between?
This video was a life saver! Thank you so much.

Wonderful piece of presentation !!

You have to use a container, this only works with non floating, make sure you also disable "Distribute evenly" or else it will split the area 50/50
@@TheLionEric I am facing the same problem which cargouvu has asked. I am using container only and not getting the full view of a sheet at a time.
i have the same your question. have you found the solution? help me please 😢
@@nikhil1888 have you found the way to get the full view of a sheet at a time? please share for me 😭

Hey Mon Mon
Try switching off titles of sheets
Nice Video, thanks a lot.
I would cut out the Donut part.
How can I still use the titles of the sheets?

Hello Andre, love the doughnut chart do you know if this would work for a mortality rate type of data by regions
It does not let me put both sheets on the same position. Therefore, I have them up and down or right and left. Any hint?

@@TheLionEric Where can I find distribute evenly
@@onyinoyi_o have you found yet? can you share please?
Thanks a lot mate, it works well for me!
Ho to manage ''All'' vs ''Individual'' selection size?
I followed the steps and it works! I don't understand why those custom values work though. Anyone got some knowledge to drop?

very helpful! thanks
The other sheets stays blank when I flip
Thanks a lot!! It was useful!
this is very helpful! thanks!
Do you try it? i couldn't put the view of a sheet at a time in the dashboard , please help me :((
Ignore earlier comment about Audio.
Hi, Can you fix the audio?
@7:11
But filters are not working properly. Apply work sheet for filters not working here. No use of this method if you won't use filters
Dankie!
This video could have been finished within a minute
Yeah.... this is not how it's done. This is a workaround version of how to actually do it.
What is the correct way to do it?
If you wouldnt constantly squelch during the video, it would be quite enjoyable.....
Unfortunately it makes the video horribly annoying.
